Yes. You could build this setup for way less than half of it yourself with more features and functionality. This is crazy with almost 300k with taxes for this setup.

I think this is the best RV review I've come across. Hat's off, sir. For several years we've hosted Revel campers in the parks we volunteer at and I've walked around a few Revels but never did look inside one. And wow, what W has accomplished in under 20' with no slides is just amazing. I now understand why I'm seeing more and more of them around. Truly impressive engineering. If I were 30 years younger I'd probably seek to own the one reviewed here.
Where is the storage for your clothes? I know that you can store them in the bathroom, but then you can't use it. That power bed is cool, but I would rather have the storage above the bed and just a manually foldable bed. In my opinion, that would be much more practical. And I don't know if there is a heater outlet inside the bathroom(for drying wet clothes). If not, they should make it that way.

The Revel is hugely popular and this is the best design yet, but the limiting factor is that cassette toilet. Let's be honest, they are nothing short of gross!! There is a gray tank in there which your going to have to empty at a dump station, so why not just give us a real toilet and black tank? It is SO MUCH easier and cleaner than dealing with the limited cassette. the new Airstream Interstate X has a nice 9g tank on the same platform. Or you can run a combo tank like the newer class A's. Come on W, this would be a huge benefit to a lot of people.

The cassette toilet allows you to empty it easily during the seasons when all the RV dump stations are shut down and winterized. For Spring, Autumn, and some winter adventures this works well.

great detailed rv review, but i hope people knows that there is a 'zillow' version for rvs called rvuniverse and brand new revels are listing around 140-130k...feeling bad already to the buyers in 2021 paid above the ill advised MSRP lol.
@@ColonialRV After you store a few dishes and a couple of pans to cook with above, and a few cleaning supplies below, there is no room for food. No storage for clothes. Barely room for you to turn around. AND, with the price tag, Winnebago doesn't GIVE us anything! I thought i wanted a new Revel but I need to store all the food that I will cook on that longer counter and a place to store a few clothes. Nice rig though. Great off road and off grid capabilities. Just not practical in the areas I mentioned.

The bench seat seems like such a waste of space that could be better used. If the front seats are meant to rotate back, why would you need 2 more seats? Does Winnebago think that there would often be 4 people in that van?
Exactly my point! I was think about an RV and the waste of space with these 2 seats is a deal killer. It's a short platform, every inch counts and not to have an option for a cabinet instead of the seats is just stupid.
Great review. Very informative. Is there still problems with the DEF system getting clogged and expensive repairs? And …can you run the engine at idle to charge the batteries without the DEF system getting clogged? How long can the ac last off just battery?
Rather than worshiping the voice of the customer, it would be nice for Winnebago to come up with their own ideas. If they were listening to the customer, they would realize a van that sleeps two doesn’t need four seats.
Winnebago Revel 44e is my only vehicle. I transport my two grandchildren to and from school daily. I SPECIFICALLY looked for the additional seat while keeping the bed made and ready.
Dinky 2.0L? You might want to do your research. The new twin-turbocharged 2.0L has 208 horsepower and 332 pound-feet. Thats 20 horses and 7 pound-feet more than old diesel V-6.

Man do i hate those atrocious looking rear passenger seats that I would never have a passenger in and that take up 25% of the van.... are families of four really traveling around in revels? If they actually built a revel for solo travelers or couples (it is a 19' van, after all), id actually consider buying one.
@@LouSass112 two very easy solutions: 1) make those seats removable so people without extra passengers could add a side bench there or use the area as storage or 2) offer two layouts, like is done with countless RVs. 💡 Personally, my kid is an adult, but if I had small children, I wouldn't be camping with all three or four of us in a 19' van that only has one bed.

Every product has cheap, average and premium levels. Why do so many people that only want to spend average money get their knickers in a twist over premium products. Don’t want it, out of your budget - move on, nothing wrong with that. It’s definitely out of my price range…..but doesn’t mean it’s not for someone else ….so much negativity !!!

Cool video, but you forgot to mention all the discontinued parts for Mercedes Benz sprinters. My new Winnebago 70SE has been at the shop in AZ for 4 months waiting for parts that are discontinued for the 2023 and up models. I was able to drive it for 7K miles before it broke and please do not mention the power train warranty, that is some serious joke. Now I have a lawyer involved to get make MB to honor that warranty, I regret the day my family and I decided to go for a Winnebago

Started watching this video and then looked up the price while watching. Wow, I just don't see the value. The base model of the vehicle is only $60K-$80K. The additions can be at most $50K. I'm not going to watch the rest of the video, as I just don't see the value, or even close really.
Table not as good as a Laguna. Bathroom still old and cheap. RV manufactures feeling the pinch from better custom made vans that's the only reason they upgrade, voice of the competition. Ladder is cool. Two spot lights don't seem aerodynamic. Plush and moveable seats necessary. No microwave. Can you sit on that bench in the back and add a laguna table? ..thanks for the review
Anyone can build this? Yes. But it will take a lot of time and money. Plus the brand new Sprinter, it will cost at least 100k without counting labour. Can you DIY something like this on an older Sprinter? Clearly. And it would cost you less with salvage parts. But people pay a premium for new stuff, without wasting time, and paying on credit.
I wanted to love this, but they still have the passenger seats facing forward for a tight squeeze. When I’m in the van I want to look outside the sliding door and not have the table jabbed into my stomach. I’m looking at the new floor plan for the Thor Tranquility. I think it’s all season too and cheaper. The RV dealer near me didn’t have that model and I want to see it in person, so I have to go a few cities over to see it. 🫠

Haha thats's too funny 😂. Most Revel owners hang clothes in the bathroom/closet when not using it or they use storage bins in the rear gear garage.

I'm seeing prices advertised around $165,000. Seems fair to me. Love all the upgrades other than losing that cabinet to the right of the sink.

Bought a Transit...NEVER LOOKED BACK at the Sprinter. To damn expensive for being unreliable.
Transit is indeed a great chassis. They all have features specific to them that make them unique.

Roof AC will run approximately 2hrs on the 1 lithium battery.
We have not heard of customer’s getting a clogged DEF system at idle.

It's a hard-working and reliable motor, we see almost zero motor issues when customers come back for service.

The Mercedes Turbo Diesel engine is extremely reliable but I can say, most of our clients have not complained about the amount of power.

I wanted to love this, but they still have the passenger seats facing forward for a tight squeeze. When I’m in the van I want to look outside the sliding door and not have the table jabbed into my stomach. I’m looking at the new floor plan for the Thor Tranquility. I think it’s all season too and cheaper. The RV dealer near me didn’t have that model and I want to see it in person, so I have to go a few cities over to see it. 🫠
