When I was not walking with Jesus, claimed saved but was living of the world I was getting tatted so much, it became an addiction. Once I turned away from my old ways and became a true saved woman of God, I prayed God would take my tattoo addiction away and he delivered me from tattoos. 🙌🏼 Now that I'm truly saved I wish I never would of got 1 tattoo. I feel you turn from your old ways once you are saved. And I believe in my heart you shouldn't mark your body " God's temple ."

What I don’t understand is how someone can claim to follow Christ, but still have the desires of the world to do that which the world does. Some Christians still want to follow the ways of the world by getting tattoos, smoking weed, drinking, etc. None of that helps to sanctify the temple of the Holy Spirit. When I came to Christ I wanted to break away from those addictions of the world. And tattoos can be addictive, ask someone who is covered. It does feels like self mutilation, they honestly hurt. I think of the man at the grave filled with evil spirits, cutting himself. I have never read about Jesus Christ or The disciples marking their body’s. Only the pagans did this, but now we as a society have normalize this. You go to other countries like central America and mainly the gangsters etc are the ones with tattoos. But go to Polynesian islands, tattoos have a cultural representation and significance. The warriors, chiefs, kings, etc had specific tattooing. But it was a ceremonial tradition that was earned and done in an old school way (tatau). But there is also a spiritual meaning behind the tatau. The reason why I won’t get any more tattoos is that the Bible says the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. God calls us to come out from them, and I don’t want to walk like the world and look like the world. II’ve prayed on this cause there was a mural I wanted on my back. But I’ve been led away from this and felt I would only be defiling the Temple of the Holy Spirit. If I want to honor God in my life, I shouldn’t do it through a tattoo, but through my lifestyle and love that I share with others. You are right, Engrave Jesus on my heart, not on my flesh with a “Christian” tattoo I’ve seen a lot of compromising within the church. People justify their ways, one foot in the church and one on the world, Double-minded man. The church is starting to look like the world and we condone certain things we shouldn’t. The watchman are following asleep, and world has crept into the pulpit to tickle the ears. I will stay in unity with believers, but I won’t compromise the Word of God to accommodate the lukewarm Christians and their lust for the world. We cannot serve Christ and Satan, we should all know that by now. What I notice is that these lukewarm Christian look for Christian preachers/pastors who accommodate their worldly ways. That’s why we have the prosperity gospel and other doctrines. I myself know that tattooing is not from God, but comes from the pagans and the world. So at the end of the days, we’ll all have to work out our own salvation and face God.

When I was not walking with Jesus, claimed saved but was living of the world I was getting tatted so much, it became an addiction. Once I turned away from my old ways and became a true saved woman of God, I prayed God would take my tattoo addiction away and he delivered me from tattoos. 🙌🏼 Now that I'm truly saved I wish I never would of got 1 tattoo. I feel you turn from your old ways once you are saved. And I believe in my heart you shouldn't mark your body " God's temple ."

What I don’t understand is how someone can claim to follow Christ, but still have the desires of the world to do that which the world does. Some Christians still want to follow the ways of the world by getting tattoos, smoking weed, drinking, etc. None of that helps to sanctify the temple of the Holy Spirit. When I came to Christ I wanted to break away from those addictions of the world. And tattoos can be addictive, ask someone who is covered. It does feels like self mutilation, they honestly hurt. I think of the man at the grave filled with evil spirits, cutting himself.
I have never read about Jesus Christ or The disciples marking their body’s. Only the pagans did this, but now we as a society have normalize this. You go to other countries like central America and mainly the gangsters etc are the ones with tattoos. But go to Polynesian islands, tattoos have a cultural representation and significance. The warriors, chiefs, kings, etc had specific tattooing. But it was a ceremonial tradition that was earned and done in an old school way (tatau). But there is also a spiritual meaning behind the tatau.
The reason why I won’t get any more tattoos is that the Bible says the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. God calls us to come out from them, and I don’t want to walk like the world and look like the world. II’ve prayed on this cause there was a mural I wanted on my back. But I’ve been led away from this and felt I would only be defiling the Temple of the Holy Spirit. If I want to honor God in my life, I shouldn’t do it through a tattoo, but through my lifestyle and love that I share with others. You are right, Engrave Jesus on my heart, not on my flesh with a “Christian” tattoo
I’ve seen a lot of compromising within the church. People justify their ways, one foot in the church and one on the world, Double-minded man. The church is starting to look like the world and we condone certain things we shouldn’t. The watchman are following asleep, and world has crept into the pulpit to tickle the ears. I will stay in unity with believers, but I won’t compromise the Word of God to accommodate the lukewarm Christians and their lust for the world. We cannot serve Christ and Satan, we should all know that by now. What I notice is that these lukewarm Christian look for Christian preachers/pastors who accommodate their worldly ways. That’s why we have the prosperity gospel and other doctrines.
I myself know that tattooing is not from God, but comes from the pagans and the world. So at the end of the days, we’ll all have to work out our own salvation and face God.
