I really believe the Lord wanted me to share about tattoos. When Lorna and I bought our brand new house in Grover Beach in 1998. We were serving in a local church Where we had people coming in that were into tattoos and even had tattoo artist that they would refer. Before I go any further before I was born again I had four tattoos But I know in my convictions that I would not put another tattoo on my body which is the temple of God. However in serving at this local church It started becoming The normal thing to get a tattoo, I was not with it at all, but after time I thought about one of the tattoos I had already from when I was drunk when I was a teenager and stupid. When I was born again I didn't even realize, I had tattoos on me and it didn't matter, I already knew there was no outside expression that would please God. however because of the tattoo fetish that became The norm in the church, One day I just thought one time, I just thought this," "maybe I'll get this tattoo covered up with another tattoo." That was a fleeting thought that came and went and was gone that fast. That night Lorna and I went to bed. The next morning I jumped up out of bed ran down the stairs and went outside the door, Lorna my wife was asking me what's wrong jose? Let me tell you what happened to me that night As I was asleep I had this dream and I was there !!! I witnessed this taking place I saw gang members that were demons outside my brand new two-story home in Grover Beach spray painting the walls all over my house. This dream was so real that when I woke up I literally thought they were still outside tagging up my house. When I ran down the stairs out the front door and looked at my house there was no one there and there was no graffiti on my walls. I took a deep breath of relief when I heard the Lord say this; How did you like all that graffiti on your new house Jose? I said Lord I didn't like it at all. Then the Lord said to me, "Then what makes you think I like it Jose! I was so convicted. We don't realize these little acts Of rebellion hinder us from entering in to that which is New in Christ Jesus. Getting tattoos is plain and simple it is a work of the flesh I am telling you just as the Lord told me there is no outside expression that is pleasing to me. If you want to please the Lord the only thing you can offer up to Him is Lamb this is why Abel's offering was received from the Lord and pleasing to Him. Don't let stupid things like tattoos hinder you from entering into the new creation in Christ Jesus. You may think oh it's just a little tattoo I'm telling you it's a big deal to God, he does not like it. Oh but brother Jose there's grace, Grace has been given to us to empower us to overcome these things such as tattoos. However I will say this if you're a status quo Christian then don't worry about these types of convictions . The thing about the Lord is He is good so He has a place where status quo Christians can dwell it's called The outer courts! however if you want to go into the most holy place you better think about the sacrifice you need to bring to Him and to offer up your body Holy and acceptable onto God. Yes as a christian we are supposed to correct someone out of love so their blood is not on our hands. People are quick to call it judgeing but it's called speaking the truth out of the bible. But we don't speak the truth with our chest stuck out with aggression. We are supposed to be gentle, correct with love and patience and whoever switches it up or say that we are judging them than just take it with a smile, move on and pray for their blind eyes and closed ears to open up before they pass away into a life of sin. I pray for my enemy's and I'm in the process of allowing God n his son Jesus Christ to correct my problems plus send me out to the streets to testify. But before God sends me than I have to do what Jesus Christ said , which is to deny myself and take up my cross. I can't be slipping up by drinking and smoking once a week and than be out there street preaching. The bible talks about where there is envy than there is confusion so brother Brian, there will always be disagreements, people saying O you are judging me when in fact you are speaking the truth from the bible, there will always be envy and confusion among non christians and christians. Only the strong for Jesus Christ pulls through. We survive through the power of God and his son Jesus Christ. Amen.

After listening to your song can I preach I was convicted in my heart and I no longer believe in getting tattoos. I’m sleeved up and have many tats but even for those promoting tats with scripture, praise with your life, prayer and living it out. We don’t need to tat ourselves to show God we love Him.
