Because you are using the square root property. For example, if you have x^2 = 9, then x = +-3
so for the second problem would it be 1/3 to positive infinity or negative infinity and how would you know
would it be [1/3, positive infinity) using the number line test?
Domain of inverse is 0 to infinity. The range of the of f has to be the domain of f inverse.
