- Well, you see I wasn't looking for a replacement for my Ember Travel Mug 2... Until I was sent one out for review and was pleasantly surprised to see there are alternatives out there on amazon.

I only watched this video because I know I'm getting an Ember Travel Mug for Christmas and this is how I spend my time while the countdown continues. I didn't expect to enjoy it that much. Love your style. Checking out more of your videos.
I absolutely love a hot cup of coffee! I cannot drink from a regular mug anymore because it gets too cold too quickly, especially now that I work from home. I actually considered buying one of these months before I received a Yetis. I am more than content with how long my yeti keeps my coffee. I enjoy to sit on my coffee, but I can’t imagine needing it to stay hot longer than my yeti.
I love my Yeti as well. Got it in every color and it really does a better job of keeping coffee/tea warm longer than my Ember….kind of sad

I have travel mug 2. Lid broken twice and the company sent me (free of charge) lid replacement. I’d been asking where to buy a lid (I dont think they’re selling the lid). The last lid sent was February and now it’s broken again 😟

There are new research studies out that drinking beverages at above 145 degrees F is strongly correlated with increase cases of esophageal cancer. So in reality Ember mug probably keeps it in that range for health concerns and so not to be sued later on.

I just came across yet another “smart” travel mug called the Muggo, and I wondered if there have been any reviews/comparisons between it and either of the Ember travel mugs? The Muggo looks very much like the Ember even down to its display, except that the battery actually detaches and can be charged on the charging base while the mug is on the base as well but separate from the battery. So you can use it like the Ember on its base and if you decide to go somewhere you can grab the battery and go. Problem is I cannot find anyone who can compare the two.

I bought two travel mugs 2 and I've had the lids changed numerous times on both mugs, they stop working after a while. Don't buy this crap, you'll end up with a travel mug without a lid.
I still don’t know which one to get. Lol!
If you like HOT drinks or need a super long battery get the amazon one otherwise the ember mug looks 10 times better in person.

Does the East Mount keep liquids, somewhat, insulated even when the battery is off? I found with the Ember was not able to do that and relied on the battery heavily to only get two full drinks from full charge from a day if conservative.
CassettePlaya1 yes it does a better job then ember does but not quite a thermal. Also I’m starting to have charging problems with the East Mount 😒
When I got to min 3:20 right then and there I knew at this moments he F🤣ck up 😂😂 you know you just f@ck up got a mug and don’t know if it turn on when picking it up or hitting the switch yea i aight

I tried boht. East Mount was good but i went back to Ember Travel 2. East mount had a few major issues. It's onlu 10OZ, the controls and display are awkward and dim and the lid hits your face when you try to drink if the coffee level is less than half. Battery life was BETTER on east mount for sure and thats the pro. Ember travel mug 2 has the issue of low battery life as well and also charging station (east Mount has a much simpler just USB C solution which you can find anywhere unlike Embes charding station). But at the end i went back to ember. Its easier to use, has a better design and the lid is much more comfortable. I just wish it had a better battery and a more universal charging method

After looking at the reviews on Amazon I can see that you're correct it does reheat the water when you pick it up or turn it on
Causing some major problems with people opening it while it's heating and it's EXPLODED
I guess would be ok if you needed hot water, but if you're carrying a coffee in this thing the taste is going to get worse as it will let the coffee get cold and then reheat multiple times
