This was so charming! I went to adopt a big dog and found a little terrified elderly chihuahua. They said "hold him for a minute" and I never put him down for the next 6 years! And Pickles LOVES that man!
I love how she is calm and assured, knowing she is safe. She doesn't have them wrapped around her paws but knows that they provide for her and even with all the pampering they set proper boundaries, you can tell by how relaxed she is. Not arrogant one bit. All the tender love and care and it's still known the people set certain rules, which is also probably why the big dog isn't jealous either.
Chihuahuas make wonderful companions. They are easy to care for and require little grooming since the long-haired Chihuahuas' coats do not tangle easily. I literally went through the same thing! My husband never wanted a small dog & he even reminded me on our way to look at dogs/puppies. When we arrived we went in different directions & within 5 minutes I hear "Babe look!". I turn around & my husband has a teeny tiny Chihuahua in the palms of his hands. I literally thought he was holding a little guinea pig for a sec but it was the smallest dog I'd ever laid eyes on & she was ADORABLE! After that his mind was made up. We looked at no other dogs bc it was love at first sight for my husband (& myself!). 11 years later & the 1lb puppy is now a 7.5lb senior. She's incredibly smart, super sassy (of course), quirky af, & the love of our lives but she's obsessed with my husband! 🥰

They say “Dogs have Owners and Cats have Staff”, but I’d say this little gal comes close to that…I mean…warmed blankets? That’s next level. The only times I’ve been wrapped in a warmed up blanket was after I delivered my kids. Well Done, Pickles. You have trained your Hooman very well. Seriously…she / they are too adorable.
@galaxy I actually had a cat that would look at me like that. Once when my mom came over while I was prepping dinner, the cat (a kitten at the time) was staring at me like that, and my mom commented, “oh my goodness…look at the cat…he’s looking at you like he’s in love with you.” 😂 He was the sweetest, most snuggly cat I’d ever had (and I’ve had a few snugglers).
It's really cute when a mailman or service man shows up. They get all made and snarely. They got a little stripe of fur that stands up down the center of their back and around their tail (least mine did). We used to tell her: "Is that the best you can do? You must not be that mad" and say she's the "black spotted snarles". She used to get so mad at people coming by, it was funny.
That is one adorable Chihuahua! Her face is so endearing, she doesn't seem to be hyper or nervous, and I didn't hear her bark, not once! She seems a bit bigger than most Chihuahuas I've seen, and Pickles adoration for dad is the sweetest thing I've ever seen! She just looks up at him as if he is her world. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of this little cutie! I notice your other dog seems to get along with her as well, and no jealousy at all. Great family!
Deer head chihuahuas also tend to be more docile/“less yappy” than the stereotypical chihuahua you’re probably familiar with. Generally they are also a little larger than apple heads. I’ve had both types but I much prefer deer heads.
@@SeoniKauna I think I have a deer head chihuahua. Never had an apple head. I have to ask, what is it in particular that you prefer deer over apple head chihuahuas? Is it their personality or just the body type? I've never had an apple head chihuahua so I was just wondering

I love this. My husband was the same way when we first started dating. He claimed he hated small dogs, especially Chihuahuas. But within the first month of hanging out he was hooked. His friends would make negative comments about small dogs & he'd immediately pipe up & say "not *my girlfriends Chihuahuas* . He was right. They were so special. After they both passed away we waited a couple years to get another small dog. At first he really didn't want her. I knew he was still hurting & frankly just didn't wanna add to the pack. But once we did he never looked back. Now, they cuddle together every morning he has off work. She squeaks, squeals & chews on his beard in pure delight to be cuddling with Papi. @@lapatti Not that I could see. But dogs exist, and need our care, because we as a species have brought them into this world as they are today. They've been bred solely for our own agenda, so to me all dogs are in need of our care. We are responsible for their existence.
The way she gazes up at him, wow. No one has ever gazed at me with such love and adoration, not even my MOTHER. And my mom really loved me! That little girl is right where she belongs. ❤😊❤
I needed that, my husband was just like that with all our animals. He had a routine for each one. I miss him so much but this brought back all the reasons I fell in love with my husband.
Hugs
He must have been a wonderful man.
❤️
🕊
This made me sad. I hope you are well
0:29 when she looks up at her dad...that is the look of true love right there. I needed this video today!
so wholesome
That chihuahua has stolen that woman's husband from her and it's the cutest thing ever.
Chihuahuas are the sweetest & most loving, loyal dog!!!
Sweetest yeah yeah yepp
Heck yeah!
Oh, the way that this little darling stares adoringly at him. Cuteness overload. What a beautiful family you are!🙏🤗💗
They ADORE each other! It’s so cute! 😍
This was so charming! I went to adopt a big dog and found a little terrified elderly chihuahua. They said "hold him for a minute" and I never put him down for the next 6 years! And Pickles LOVES that man!
So cute and heartwarming. I liked the scene where she was wagging her whole body.
It went beyond wagging into full-blown fishtailing like a car on a wet road! 😅 So adorable! 🥰
👍💯💯💯❤️🐶❤️
I love how she is calm and assured, knowing she is safe. She doesn't have them wrapped around her paws but knows that they provide for her and even with all the pampering they set proper boundaries, you can tell by how relaxed she is. Not arrogant one bit. All the tender love and care and it's still known the people set certain rules, which is also probably why the big dog isn't jealous either.
2:02 - the queen sitting on her cozy warm throne with her legs crossed...so adorable! ❤
That's what I thought too 😂
Reminds me of me😭😂
I love it when dogs make “lady hands.”
@@Fwyd My girl Phoebe does that, sits like a little queen with her two front “feet” crossed like a little lady. It’s so freaking cute!
The way that little girl stares up at him... you can literally see the love pouring out of her eyes when she looks at him!
The way that doggy looks at him... pure love.
Your man is a keeper - hope you all have the absolute best future together ❤
Chihuahuas make wonderful companions. They are easy to care for and require little grooming since the long-haired Chihuahuas' coats do not tangle easily. Being a small breed, they also have lower food requirements compared to larger dogs. Chihuahuas can be territorial, affectionate, and very attached to their owners. How long have you had your Chihuahua?
you could see the love hearts coming out of her eyes, when she looked at him
This was already perfect but at the end learning her name is Pickles was just too much..... cuteness overload!
Don't ya love when someone spots a tiny potat and keeps the Lil potat
I love Chihuahua so much!!!❤❤❤. She’s a total Daddy’s girl! They are the coldest dogs ever!

I hope they show as much love to the other dog they have.
Thought the same thing. Where does the other sleep? Does he get tucked in as well 😢
Just look how she stares into his eyes - beautiful!
“I didn’t expect her to be this cute.” Lol, small dogs are adorable! They’re regular dogs but miniature, what’s not to love? 😊🐶💕
This reminds me of my dad and my cats he didnt want. They were tucked in like burritos every night.
*purritos :P
That is one adorable Chihuahua! Her face is so endearing, she doesn't seem to be hyper or nervous, and I didn't hear her bark, not once! She seems a bit bigger than most Chihuahuas I've seen, and Pickles adoration for dad is the sweetest thing I've ever seen! She just looks up at him as if he is her world. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of this little cutie! I notice your other dog seems to get along with her as well, and no jealousy at all. Great family!
There are two types of chihuahua, apple head and deer head. Deer heads are bigger with long limbs and that’s what Pickles is.
She's definitely the cutest and best behaved chihuahua I've ever seen. I've always hated them and prefer really big dogs, but i would totally adopt one if it was just like her.
@@erinhawes2726
‘Hated’ them? Geesh. It’s a precious animal.
I LITERALLY do everything this guy does with my Chihuahuas as well. Everytime they see me holding the laundry basket they always think there's warm clothes in there wether there are or not, but when I DO have Fresh laundry and I put the warm clothes on them I always get and fold the stuff around them and will fold whatever they are laying on last.
Same with mine!! I didn’t know this was a chihuahua thing!
Chihuahuas LOVE to burrow
Same with my sweet lil chihuahua too! She loves the warm laundry!!!
Another sweet and loving man! 🏆
@@ojeda5577I’ve 2 & one of em is but the other one doesn’t. The one that does loves it? He’d literally get under the blankets & lean against my legs lmfao🤣🤣🤣 He just sleeps there & wouldn’t mind when I’m tucking him in under any blankets lol
When I was young I didn’t care for small dogs, NOW, a little bit older, I feel like their protector and just love them. Awesome story !
I can totally relate. I never wanted a "yappy little dog" and then I had a little girl that changed my life. There's something about that innocence, love and trust that can make a hard-edged guy get just a little softer...a little bit. Lol
I said in an earlier comment “it takes a real man to love a little dog“ & I always felt strongly about that. Granted, plenty of ‘real men’ love big, medium or small dogs, but a man who is proud to walk his little tiny friend down the street is a real man!
Kudos Ross, you seem like a good guy.
The way she looks at him is pure love. 💜
When he said "I warmed it up for my baby" Just melted my heart ❤
Men this gentle, loving and caring are what all gentle, loving and caring ladies and pets deserve!
That dog absolutely loves that guy with all of her being, you can see it in her eyes. Totally adorable, good family. Hopefully they have kids, or adopt, those are the kinds of people we want being parents.
Your comment made me tear up. Such a beautiful truth.
It's the sweetest thing 🖤
Ya small dogs if trained correctly are amazing...if not their demons from hell and tend to be aggressive...I guess it's why people Don't want smaller dogs.
@@Silver_wind_1987_ In my experience small dogs tend to be more fear aggressive if not properly socialized simply bc the entire world is larger than they are 🤷♀️ Which makes perfect sense, as not every small dog has a Napoleon Complex.
@@JB-fl4wk true....but I've seen some evil little dogs. One barked at mine the other day...it was a shiz zu....my bigger dog didn't make a darn peep and was simply confused as to why this tiny carpet was yelling
@@Silver_wind_1987_ But, how does that make all of them evil?
@@JB-fl4wk again SOME are evil. But not all. It's a figure of speech. But it can be true. Some dogs can be trained to be demons....
Poor little black dog, he's been pushed aside to the #2 spot - please share the love for him too - pretty darn cute Chihuahua - Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Please hug the big guy too!!!
Exactly. What about the big dog... they need 💘 love too! 😔
Black dog has a happy tail. He seems good to me.
@@mindelos1706 - I'm sure if you asked the Black dog, he would say, please share the love - it's like the middle child in the family - all the attention goes to the first born and to the Baby of the family - the middle child is always trying to win the attention of the parents - of course the black dog is wagging his tail, he is trying hard to get Daddy's attention - have a Blessed Day 🍁

Yup, happened to us too. No dog that fit that much love inside such a tiny space. Amazing dogs.
U can tell he’s such a loving husband also will be one amazing dad juz by lookin at how perfectly he treats his dog.
The love just pouring out of her as she stares up at him... ❤🐾💖❤🐾💖
I was lucky enough to have this experience years back. I grew up with German shepherds but a chihuahua showed up in my life one day unexpectedly and I’ve been firmly on team little-dog ever since.
How adorable this is how we should treat our pets they are family as well she is such a lucky girl
My kitty of 17 years, had her since I was 8 years old, passed away just under a month ago. To see this dog also named Pickles brought a smile to my face and a sting in my eyes.

The way she looks at him!! I never saw a chihuahua smile until now!!❤️
This is Amazing every dog should have this type of bond with their owners ❤
"I didn't expect her to be this cute!"
Chihuahuas are literally bred solely for their cuteness.
Edit: Changing the verb tense in my sentence.
False. 😂they’re usually ugly looking
until they turn into land piranhas 😂😂
@@dars1311 Personally, I think they're cute even then.
I heard they were bred by the Aztecs as food. I have a Chihuahua who looks a lot like this girl.
I have a very sweet chihuahua who turns into a vicious killer of dog toys. I'm pretty sure if we had a rodent problem she'd hunt them, so perhaps they were used for that too
The man's got compassion, and his little dog is a great teacher.

@UCRf6w0yNh5KN-9TuIA4mUig I think it's because the video is focused on the small dog it's not like they won't love their other pet please don't think that way :(
Our big lab would get so jealous that our minpin could lay on our laps. I kept telling him, “bud, you get to be 130lbs of big strong beast, he is a full size Doberman trapped in the body of a tiny chihuahua, and he knows it, let’s just let him have this.” I’d sneak him hotdogs too. 👍
I was thinking about the big dog
My Chihuahua, Montana, and I were very close. I see how much other Chihuahua owners love their dogs it gives me tears of joy and brings back good memories of my girl. I still have her baby picture when I first brought her home.
I would give anything to find a man so tender and loving with his precious dog.
