Ah Freezer! A favourite from early Maids. Dual vocals, crunchy guitars, super groovy beats... what's not to love!
“Freezer!” One of those early gems that will always bring the Maidiacs out in force.

Band-Maid's older, somewhat overlooked songs are going to be rediscovered for years to come. This will bring a continuous flow of new fans into their fold. Some of these tunes are heavy, hard punk rock adding a new depth of artistry to the Maids many fans didn't know they had. Of course, for Maidiacs, they always knew about these bitchin tunes long ago and still listen to them all the time. Thx, Sohum!
Still one of my absolute favourite BM songs, and that solo…..The vocal trades are awesome, bass and drums thunderous.
Freezer needs an official video. Dont think it will ever happen though. The harmonies on this song is perfect.
Yes, the word that best suits them is fun. They're the only band that gives you joy just by watching their videos on their site or reading the fan letters they each post in turn. They have fun all the time. However, they work like crazy just to please their fans. Freezer is a banger from their first period during which their manager (or the label) refused all of Kanami's compositions. But it's a very good song. Thank you Sohum.
One of the best early songs from Band-Maid! A banger start to finish! The harmonies are so addictive!

The term "Nose Hole" comes from Kanami tricking Miku to bite the end off of a Pocky that Kanami was holding in her mouth. After Miku did it Kanami then calmly explained that the Pocky had been in Misa's "nose hole". Miku said "She's so devil". (LOL) There is video of it online if you care to see it. Band-Maid members, especially Misa, seem to have a fascination with nose holes. Drum sticks, fingers, Pocky, anything that will fit in a nose hole seems to get there eventually. (LOL)
Freezer is one of Band-Maid's early gems. It sounds great live.
Top5 fav for me. I even learned the lyrics so I can sing along. I change my hairstyle to match each singer when doing so.
This is my #2 fav Band-Maid song, PO!🕊💕
2:31 I don't know the reason why, but for a while putting fingers into their nostrils were fun things to do for Maids.
At one time during an MC time, Kanami stuck a pocky into MISA's nostril and then let Miku eat it. Miku didn't know that, but Kanami told her the fact after Miku ate it. Miku said "She is so devil!"🤣
In case you didn't know, a pocky is a thin stick shaped snack covered with chocolate.

2017 my gateway to this extraordinary band .
I really hope they return to this sound one day. It's definitely a style I prefer. Miku had more of a hard rock voice back then than today, something I miss and wish she would return to.

Whenever I hear that Addictone guitar sound, I really miss it. I mean, I love PRS and the way Kanami-san makes it sing but that Addictone...
Sometimes after the Maids have scrambled my brains with Black Hole, Giovanni, or Zen, it's nice to hear a fairly straight ahead rocker and New Beginnings and Brand New Maid have those in stock, bigly. I think a big part of their still unbelievable backstory is this early part, sorting thru songs to choose to record, finding very good ones ( not to be discounted- these songs are very well written )and then just making them their own. and learning about what they like going forward.

Love "Freezer"! The very definition of a banger. I think the nostril thing is just schoolgirl level comedy, MISA and Akane especially have very childish senses of humor. Thanks for the reaction!

Great reaction and the nose humor is probably MISA. On their radio show Miku and Saiki discussed who was the funniest and they both said MISA. They also said that she has the humor of a school kid (probably middle school) - funny jokes about body parts and other kid inducing humor.

I don't mind ... it's all about our MAIDs anyway ... this was the intended use ;) .
It is better than much of their newer songs. Freezer has grit and punk punch with a dirtier guitar song. some of their newer songs on epic narratives are technically proficient,however, have less feeling. World domination and Unseen world are much better albums.
