Another excellent video Dave. Thank you. I was there, you might remember. We took off early to collect some of the Verde Antique. We only drove halfway up the mountain and hiked the rest of the way up. The road was washed out.
@@lapidarydave We did find the Verde Antique. We carried buckets and large rocks down the trail. I would like to find the black rock known to be nearby. I will be at the fall tailgate so if you want to hike up the hill, I'll do it.
That is so cool! I can’t believe I haven’t been to this one or heard about it but it really warms my heart watching this. I travelled around America as a child and teenager with my grandma and her geological group hunting for treasures and they are some of the best memories I have. I also grew up in Tucson and we went to the show for years! I live in Vegas now but I’m going to make it a real effort to try and hit this show next year❤️🤩
@@silvergirl7810 It's really fun that where they get the Tricolored marble and black jade.I have alot of great memories of my dad out there. The year he passed away I put a bottle with stones and his memorial card out there.

I was out in Victorville a few weeks ago and I heard Sweet Jim mention this Tailgate Show you visited their club, but I completely zoned on it. But guess what, that won't next year... lol
Man I should have checked that show out. I drove past the exit on my way to Lavic that day. I’m actually going to join their club so I can use the saws. Been saving for a slab saw but so expensive. I appreciate your coverage of this. Keep on rocking
