- A life long fishing person, my brother took me along to for the ride in the channel between Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod, to catch conch a.k.a channel welch (Busycotypus canaliculatus, specifically).
I'll be posting more scenic adventures regularly, so click subscribe to stay in the loop. Thanks!

Why does this video only have 36 likes? This is entirely better than watching a video about some cats that has 1 million likes.
very cool video !
Please do a video on how to make/set conch pots. I live in Virginia, and I run my boat by conch pots all the time, but there is literally no info on youtube on how to actually do it.
Wonder why the rope was all coiled up on the port side but traps were going off on the starboard. Surprised it didn't grab that stack and set it all in a ball??
We put fifteen traps on (usually six over the stern, and the next eight closer in), and I stack the eight first, piling that rope on the port side. Then with the six traps over the stern (which is actually a 2 ft. extension/icebox) we pile the rope on the starboard (so it goes back out again first). The system isn't entirely ideal, so let me know if you have any suggestions!
Hoty, Love this video. Thank you! Janet
Thank you!!!
Question. Why wouldn’t you flake everything on the starboard? Must be from Mass no?
That boat ain't much. I wouldn't go too far in it. Looks like it had driftwood all lashed together, and the wiring was all snarled up.
Exactly! A fun way to get wet, I'd say!
Fibonacci and the golden ratio, fun to see.
Thanks!
