I think it's really cool with the shell, but obviously there's not really any scenario in which I could wear it. Without it though it's simply just a gorgeous watch.
@@mrjakobt Black tie is fine. But it should be a dress watch, as you may have a certain time you have to leave or do something at the event. White tie, or an event at someone's house is where you wouldn't wear a watch, as it would 'traditionally' be seen as rude if you needed to know what time it was.
@@indiefruit The issue is that a watch shouldn't be worn with double cuffs and cuff links because, if you had it under the sleeve, it would be useless because you'd never be able to see it and, if you had it out of the sleeve and pushing up against your hand, it would ruin the look of the outfit and make you look like a horrible show off who was trying to get everyone to look at your watch. There is no place for a watch if you're wearing double cuffs and therefore no place for a watch at a black tie event.
I'm so into the look of that Alaska project without the case. I love the strap especially, and would 100% put something like that on a watch for...not space purposes.
That Alaska project is my new favorite Speedmaster. I don't know the story behind any of the other special edition Speedmasters but that one seems hard to top.
I can't describe how much I want that "Last Man on the Moon" one. That is one special watch. If I could get my hands on one of those one day and a Hamilton Khaki "Interstellar" to match I might be satisfied with my watch collection...maybe
Your videos are quite simply breathtaking. The history coupled with the truly brilliant, visuals and calming, gentle voice of your superb presenter are a credit to your company. It is because of your videos that I am now passionate about watches. Thank you.
Great fun this. I personally like the modern re-edition of 60's and 70's Omega's "tool" watches (and lets not forget that was a large part of their staple / bread and buter before the Swiss watch industry became a luxury and fashion business) such as the PloProf 1200m Ti grade 5; Speedy Mk2 and the Quartz Z33 Spacemaster.
The Seamaster Plongeur Professionnel has that ruff and rugged individuality. Looks like it would shatter dragon glass. I need one.

Good God Man where or how do you get your hands on such obscure treasures?! These videos are wonderful and informative! And yet even my $60 watch is still fun to wear.
The flightmaster is a truly bonkers piece of period design, particularly the first series, ref 145.013. 7 hands, internal rotating bezel, glorious chunky case with sunburst brushing.
That Alaska Project watch though. It looks massive and bulky but that's what makes it so charming and beautiful, fitting for a space age that had long disappeared.
I think the Omega Speedmaster X-33 should have been on this list. The watches shown in the video are not weird, but rather attractive, and while not common, are going to start conversations, even though they are not Rolexes.
Please can you review the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond 007 watch (2020). I'm particularly interested in what you think of Omega's re-design of the Milanese strap locking mechanism and the tropical dial.
Love this channel, so informative thank you for these amazing reviews. Could you please make some videos about brands like seiko, swatch, Hamilton, Orient and citizen. If you please start with Seiko SRPA21 PADI edition. Thank you again
the old sailing regatta start watch, MemoSail, is a fun and funny piece too, and imminently practical....as are the subsequent regatta start offerings by Rolex, Tag, Yema, etc...Perhaps that would be a nice fringe review...?
Man I've always had a thing for that Apollo dial Speedmaster. Almost bought one back in 2015. People hated it on the forums, but that is a fucking cool watch.
Case design is one thing, I was hoping for 'weird' movements, I am currently restoring a Omega 332 Bumper, now that is a strange movement. Love the engineering in the bumper, so unique that it can only be worn on the left wrist, or it wont wind.
Loved everything except the dial on the first one, dunno why but it just looked alien on an Omega imho and just so cheesy and crass imho too. Loved that white and red strap on the last one, I actually got a recent Amphibia on a white Bostok "boot leather" strap and at first was going to change it but it grew on me, now to find meself a cheap Omega hehe Closest thing I have to one is the Eaglemoss NASA Speedmaster which incidentally is a cracking good chronograph but lacking even a working bezel it is sadly NOT a real one.
Would love to see you compare the original Omega Speedmaster Mark ii racing with the 2014 release of same. Cosmetically quite similar, but mechanically wildly different, both overlooked in the shadow of the speedy pro...
You mention Vacheron Constantin every time you talk about the holy trinity, yet we've never actually seen one on the channel. Hope you can review one (Overseas, Patrimony, Historiques, any really) soon!
the last two watches are cool. as a diver i can say that even today it looks better than newer models. when person has diving suit watch has a purpose. even everybody uses electronic diving device on arm today, omega has my attention still today. not a daily high end watch. just for diving and has a purpose. i wish omega makes the same one.
That Alaska Project without the shell is stunning
I agree, I'd love to own one
I actually kinda like it with the shell as well.
I think it's really cool with the shell, but obviously there's not really any scenario in which I could wear it. Without it though it's simply just a gorgeous watch.
absolut beauty!
I didn't know the watch itself was that beautiful I had to search for it and found some nice picture of just the watch. Very expensive unfortunately.
The Alaska project would look great on the wrist at a black tie event.
You mean a red tie event
Wearing a watch at black tie is a no go though. Traditionally speaking ofc. I’d do it as well.

7:57 "looks good though" - Understatement OF THE CENTURY
Dschinghiss looks beautiful indeed!!!!
The best out of the bunch. Maybe an unpopular opinion but there's that.
Never buy a watch until you have seen it reviewed by this chanel, brilliant source of knowledge.
Maybe watch a video that gives different knowledge. Knowledge that makes you able to spell "channel" right and use commas correctly.
But what if I want to buy a watch that doesn’t cost more than my car?
@@squidwardstesticles5914 just buy a casio
Im_Benton Gaming people like you annoy me.
@@bellofrod Which is a brand Watchfinder will never review.
I just adore the Omega brand, a traditional yet innovative watch maker.
This really is by a long way the best wristwatch review channel on TH-cam - Keep up the Outstanding Work . . .
I'm so into the look of that Alaska project without the case. I love the strap especially, and would 100% put something like that on a watch for...not space purposes.
Maybe you should consider the new omega moonswatch mission to mars
I came here for the Alaska Project! Absolutely stunning!
That third omega is gorgeous, looks kind of like a Lange
That Alaska project is my new favorite Speedmaster. I don't know the story behind any of the other special edition Speedmasters but that one seems hard to top.
The "Alaska Project",,,,,,,,,,,cooooooool ! Great video !
I can't describe how much I want that "Last Man on the Moon" one. That is one special watch. If I could get my hands on one of those one day and a Hamilton Khaki "Interstellar" to match I might be satisfied with my watch collection...maybe
NASA: So we need this watch...
Omega: *Ayyy lmao*
Speedmaster limited edition and Alaska project surely are marvelous!!!! Thanks Watchfinder & Co. for sharing your experience!!
That Alaska project is beautiful with and without the case, wish I had it
That Alaska project watch is something else...
I so love that you can tell these stories with simply using words and watches and nothing else
Great channel! Informative and well presented. Thank you
Very informative look into Omega's history. Thanks for sharing.
Alaska Project needs more love. A hideous watch maybe, but a very attractive object / device / gadget / etc.
I would rock it if it didn't cost as much as a royal oak offshore.
Take dat shell out and u might find one of beautiful watch of this planet !
The Alaska project Speedmaster is fantastic
Love that proplof. Alaska project watch is nuts too,
Your videos are quite simply breathtaking. The history coupled with the truly brilliant, visuals and calming, gentle voice of your superb presenter are a credit to your company. It is because of your videos that I am now passionate about watches. Thank you.
And that cool dramatic music
Love all watch reviews on this channel. Truly awesome!!!
Love the moon watch w/o the red shell.
The naked Alaska Project is outstanding.

I like the “rocket” subdials... of the Alaska project watch
Those hands are specificly the capsule and launch escape tower. (The part the pepole were in)
I want the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Alaska Project, it´s going to look amazing with a tux!
or as space suit haha
Another gem video - outstanding and bravo.

What a documentary on watches.....CLASSIC, this vlog is as perfect as a ROLLS-ROYCE ENGINE...if that makes any sense
Superb Video.
Amazing diversity of eclectic items. Thanks
Nice Asahi Pentax. Got a 1975 KX myself, beautyfull machines!

A guy I know found a Polaris digi-analog watch at a thrift store for ~$10, he didn't know what it goes for online so I checked for him: ~$1000-1200 😯
Does anyone know the name of the background song?
as always a really good and interesting production thanks
Love the plo prof. Such a statement of a tool watch
Good luck getting a replacement crystal for that first speedmaster lol
Am i the only one that wonders how this amazing youtuber gets a hold og all these grate masterpiece watches.
Simply Amazing! You are my inspiration about watches!
That Racend Timer is simply gorgeous.
This was exquisite! Awesome to see how many variations Omega has in it's line-up. Can you guys do Rolex next?
Such a great video ! Thank you.
Great videos. Would love to see a video on the Bremont Supermarine

Love that Polaris,it's beautiful.
is that camera glued to the table ?
cus i keep seeing it in the exact same spot on the frame every video
That Alaska Project watch though. It looks massive and bulky but that's what makes it so charming and beautiful, fitting for a space age that had long disappeared.
I love the ploprof it has such a strong unique character to it.
You are a brilliant narrator.
Very nice watch and video 👍
The Polaris is beautiful
Love the channel and the Omega feature (my favourite brand) - your voice really reminds me of the comedian Alan Davis!?
Its not just me that thinks he sounds like Alan Davies!
I'm still not 100% convinced it isn't Alan.
I think the Omega Speedmaster X-33 should have been on this list. The watches shown in the video are not weird, but rather attractive, and while not common, are going to start conversations, even though they are not Rolexes.

Wouldn't believe back in 2008 when I purchased an Alaska project how much will cost today...
That Racend Timer is gorgeous.
I believe you're supposed to scream "Man on the @^&*>_^ moon!" When referencing that particular watch. :)
Godzilla McDolan With a drunken Aussie accemr, of course.

How much would an Alaska Project watch with the she’ll go for?
Please make a review for the Omega Bullhead.
Your the best watch reviewer
Yeah that Omega Apollo is my dream watch
I see an Omega Speedmaster Alaska project on ebay right now for $15,000.00 USD. is that high or low?
How was the Alaska Project watches driven? Wound up or battery?
It is a manually wound caliber 1861 just like the movements in the other “Moonwatch” Speedmasters.
Case design is one thing, I was hoping for 'weird' movements, I am currently restoring a Omega 332 Bumper, now that is a strange movement. Love the engineering in the bumper, so unique that it can only be worn on the left wrist, or it wont wind.
The Alaska case would be good for scuba diving when I don't want to leave my watch in my bag where it could be stolen.
I think the Omega Chrono-Quartz launched at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games is one of the Weirdest, yet coolest watches Omega has every produced
Always wanted the Omega Dive watch
Consider the 1970s Omega Megaquartz 2.4 mHz movement "Marine Chronometer"
Love this channel 🙏🏼 I just keep forgetting to like 🤦🏽♂️
love your videos
Watchmaker her, love your show.
The museum piece is so unique and desirable

I would wear that Project Alaska Speedy. Heatshield and all haha. So damn cool.
No pun intended
Alaska edition.
And the watch similar to seiko Giugiaro and the apollo edition are really heart stealing.
Damn! The last one is suitable for serious flexing!

No La Magique?
But what about nowadays with the International Space Station. What watches does the more recent astronauts used indoor and outdoor of the station?
The weirdest Omega I've come across while surfing watch blogs is the Seamaster Apnea Jacques Mayol, a watch for freedivers.
