The only railroad that ran into Manhattan from NJ was the PRR, now Amtrak. No diesels are permitted into Manhattan, electrics or dual modes must be used because of the tunnels and underground Penn Station. All other railroads like CNJ, LV, DL&W, Erie, etc. had terminals in NJ along the Hudson. Only the DL&W Hoboken terminal is still used as a NJ Transit station.

The Lehigh Valley did NOT run into New York City.

wicky201 Yes it did, the LVRR had tracks in NYC that were reached by car floats from Washington Street in Jersey City and their passenger trains entered Penn Station via the PPR after leaving the LV mainline at NK Tower.

you should have a map for I get confused on what was the Le high Valley and the Cen of NJ/I thought a lot of the He high was torn up over the years but its hard to believe iin 1968 the Cen of NJ wouldnot let Ross Roweland run West Jim Thorp sighting the weight of the NKP 759 but just a few weeks ago 2015 the 765 ran West o jim Thorp dow on the Millersvile line they used a 0-6-0 and diesel that track was in poor shape

Narrationless videos are of little value. Exactly where are we; where are we going; what are we passing?
