Thanks for sharing your history. Both my grandfathers worked for the Lehigh Valley. One was a car repairman in the Packerton shops in Lehighton Pa. The other was on the track gang, also out of Lehighton. The photo of the Black Diamond was in Jim Thorpe Pa. It was located where the old Lehigh Valley passenger station was. The photos of the tracks are in the Lehigh gorge. The New Jersey central roadbed is on the left. The central and the Lehigh Valley consolidated tracks from Lehighton to Wilkes Barre in 1965 .
