    Try them both on the same setup and dyno. That would be a great youtube video. We want to know about the performance.

      id bet with a quick casting clean up port job the Roos would flow better

    Kangaroo manifold performs better, weighs less, and cost less.... Seems like an easy choice.

    Either one a proper dual scroll? Uther than unequal length runners.

    • @vica153
      @vica153 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They both have cylinders 1 - 3 separate from 4-6. Each set of 3 merge before the flange, so it's not ideal twin scroll but it's much smaller than it would be if you kept all 6 cylinders separate until the flange.

    Everything is better on the billet. Airflow is significantly cleaner, that wall is actually tapered to a nice angle. Weight is the same. Journals are as smooth as you can get. Comes in T3 and T4 option of external wastegate or not. Mine is on the way as we speak.

    • @neverendingprojects
      @neverendingprojects  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Weight is not the same. It's significantly heavier than the cast manifold...Air flow being smoother based on wall smoothness maybe, but the angle from the runners into the collector is basically 90 degrees, I'm sure that isn't as good as a less extreme angle.

      @@oneeyebrowdwonder7173 I have and it wouldn't change my statements. .Diesel pump UK's is heavier that's just a fact. The collector is at a higher angle than the Kangaroo team cast version. It also put's the turbo farther away from the engine than Kangaroos. I'm not knocking it. It's a very customizable manifold, but If I'm using a T3 flanged turbo I don't see much benefit in spending 3 times as much on a manifold.

    • @vica153
      @vica153 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The billet manifold is well made, but the kangaroo team manifold is superior in every way. ~17lbs vs 26lbs, cast vs billet. The machined surfaces are obviously smoother, but the cast manifold has a larger flow cross sections and smoother transitions that are much more important to flow performance. All for a fraction of the price.
      DPUK really does top notch high quality stuff, but the amount of machining involved in an exhaust manifold means it is never going to be able to compete with a casting when it comes to making manifolds in any sort of large quantity.

      All i can say is you need to do a dyno now that you have them both.

    Those are nice but u missed a big point. Dpuk and Kangaroos are MANIFOLDS, the other is a header. And long tube headers are the best flowing exhaust u can get.
    Im a huge fan of dpuk and kanga. But headers flow better than a rough casting manifold. Dpuk has some awesome billet stuff.
    Im building a mean 603 and im also a certified, im welding a header pipe.
    I generally try to take youtubers with a grain of salt. Some have great tips, others not so much.

      I worked in motor shops, normal every day cars.
      A intake manifold is rough metal, and exhaust manifold is rough metal. Now sciece says air can actually grab things, kinda like how tornadoes move things. So intake or exhaust manifold with rough cut metal will grab the air vs flowing steel with nothing rough.
      Both companies have their things that are good. Im not knocking them, DPUK is better cuz its billet and air can flow smoothly thru it.
      U arent even a gear head. And a random gear head like me had to school u on science.
      And thats all u got to say.
      How do u even have subscribers?

    DPUK's manifold, like any other billet manifold that is built like that, is a horrible design.
    There's a reason for smooth transitions, the turbulence induced by those kinks is nothing that can be neglected, especially at higher fluid speeds, on the other hand the rough walls of the cast are not as dramatic...
