I was never Recon. Had the pleasure of being tasked with MSPF platoon. We attended Security Element course and trained with his platoon. Mr Doyle was a Gunny back then. He’s a squared away Marine!!
I was a police officer for 28 years in one of the third largest cities in the country. I can't count how many times I and other officers working the PM & morning watch would have given up our stream lights for night vision equipment. Thank you for this video and for your service to your country.
I didn't know what to expect with this episode, and I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of useful information, makes me think about night vision as an option. Also, the production value of the video was top notch. Great work LAV, keep it coming!!
Like that he's rocking those 45-degree Dagger Defense iron sights. Have them on my AR-10 and it makes the transition from using the scope for 200 yards (plus) to 100 yards or less a lot easier.
Doug Floyd why so they can continue to knock the wrong doors down and kill the innocent people in the wrong house.Until the cops start using Swat units correctly and take the time to confirm the address they shouldn't even get guns and ammo.
First and foremost, thank you for your service! Secondary, what magnification range do you recommend for a recce rifle as well as barrel length? Look forward to your answers...
Never heard of. Mr Doyle? He’s the real deal in the world of trainers. Get the latest issue of. Tactical Life and educate your self. 21 years in the USMC, 17 of which were as a Special Operations MOS. Retired as a Master Sgt. He’s not some candy ass You Tube ninja wannabe running around dressed in the latest 5.11 wear. Mr Doyle’s enemies shot back, he’s here , they’re not. That should tell you something about his skill set. Mr Doyle doesn’t slap his name on Products to make a “Buck”, pardon the pun. If you see his name associated with a product, it’s like money in the bank as far as practicality. Do a Google search to read up on his training center located in Utah.
Fantastic video. I was interested particularly at how he moves and shoots with the rifle; It's canted about 45 degrees to his left. Is this military training or a new adaptive method?
JohnnyUtah71 because the big long range optic occupies the central spot on the rifle, iron sights are installed to the right of it. So engage targets at longer ranges with the optic, and rotate the rifle to engage targets at shorter ranges with the iron sights.
Do you have a recommendation on an inexpensive form of night vision, either Thermal or IR or another and why that recommendation over the other forms of night vision?
Sasmodog guess better not to prepare for the worst huh. Better to need and not have then have and not need... derrrrr wait a minute that sounds backwards
g496r500t just as long as tax payer dollars arnt being spent on something that's really not a necessity, 19 trillion in debt and counting... We could also line the highways with puffy cushions and safe MANY MANY lives but we don't,, why? Because we don't have the Money.
At 2:32 he is having the shooter come up very high over his cover to get to his shooting position . A few steps back from the wall he could have achieved the same results with out popping up like a jack in the box.
I saw what looked like the m14, and an m4 with a scope, but what was Buck's main rifle? Mk12? Or do you get to put together your own type of recce rifle?
Zach Conant probably just an issued one for whatever role he's fullfilling, m14 guy is the designated marksman, he might be the navigation guy or security etc.
thisghy Yea, someone told me (idk if its true) that a lot of the seals don't really like the mk12 and so they use recce style lighter versions of the mk12, hence recce.
I'm an active duty LEO and would like to obtain some night vision capability. Unfortunately my department won't be funding this. Can any of you gentleman point me in the right direction on good brands and any other possible considerations. Thanks
the guy does make a good point being that majority of crime takes place under the cover of darkness. much respect for him, more officers need better capabilities to see at night.
This guy depends on law inforcement 😏 ... I bet his whole family is battle train ....I bet he only need the law inforcement to write a report after he done taking out the criminals
Still stupid to expect a group of people in a costume that cant even effectively respond to regular crime. To protect you from a hell bent terrorist. Zero Logic Error 404.
Informative video. Guy knows his stuff, obviously. However, you don't look to LE to protect you and your family; you're always responsible for that and are the front line of defense. LE is backup-always. I believe it's safe to say he'd agree with my assertions. I understand what he's getting at. It's just that he framed it poorly, painting with a broad stroke. Yes, we need to constantly train. But to give someone the idea that he or she cannot effectively save someone's life without constant training is bullshit. Again, the statement was too black-and-white. I'd like to see more videos from him on techniques.
Law enforcement does not and can not protect the citizens. You Buck and the citizens are the first responders and need to protect yourselves.99% of citizens wont be as capable as Buck but still need to be able to protect themselves, cops seldom get addresses right and alot of times end up at the wrong address and so are at best the third responders.
I don't think everyday police officers should use that kind of tech, SWAT and other specialty police officers sure but the everyday cop is a peace officer not a combat soldier.
bone deth: with all due respect, I don't think you're qualified to tell me how much I need to armor up, or what I need to protect myself or the public unless you're 'on your feet, or in the seat on the street'! Now me, 24 years on the job, 1 TOD Vietnam 1970, brown water Navy. How do we match up?, just asking...........
Prodigysportsman With respect they are because if they need this capability and they do because over 70% of all active shooter situations within pass decade occurred in night time or low light areas and it is even more important now for law enforcement to be able to operate under those conditions otherwise you will see more innocents that will get killed in future firefights because law enforcement did have the proper equipment or training to be able to effectively discriminate armed combatant from the innocent population and especially now days that is necessity to be able to have that proper target discrimination with all the tensions between law enforcement and the communities they protect require a more efficient and smarter law enforcement this is just one of those methods to get there.
Did I hear you say that you rely on law enforcement to protect your family and all of us? That’s a dangerous way of thinking in my opinion. As a father, husband, provider and protector, it is my responsibility to protect and defend my family. Period. Good fundamentals courses on the cover and concealment training.
Thank you and Mr. Doyle for your service.
what a beautiful landscape to be shooting on
Another collaboration with a great professional and American Hero. Bravo.
Great content, great cinematography. I miss being surrounded by these types of Professionals. Thanks LV and thank you Buck.
Thanks for another great video. Buck Doyle seems to be a very squared away individual. ; )
I was never Recon. Had the pleasure of being tasked with MSPF platoon. We attended Security Element course and trained with his platoon.

You could taken so many more dime bags off the street and collected thousands more in speeding ticket revenue
Beautifully produced and informative video. Thank you for all the work that went into making it!
Thank you Sir! Thank you Mr. Doyle!
Amen, mr doyle thank you for your service and doing this video with vickers tac.
I didn't know what to expect with this episode, and I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of useful information, makes me think about night vision as an option. Also, the production value of the video was top notch. Great work LAV, keep it coming!!
Good video.Great info.
And thank you for pushing the importance of night vision.
And Thank you for Your Service
well produced as always... thanks and keep up the good work
Good stuff.
You and Larry Vickers should do a video together.
Mrgunsngear Channel 15 thumbs up for that unprofound comment. You sure have gained a loyal following.
Attaining the position of Recon Marine is one of the hardest things to do in the military.
Asvab test: Hold my beer
It’s certainly not the hardest but I’ll respect your opinion. Just don’t forget about DEVGRU, Delta and Marine Raiders.
The words of a civilian
AP HILL It’s not? Lol always heard it was one of them
Amen brother thanks for your service.
maybe I am out of the loop. . I've never heard of Buck Doyle, but I sure do like him. Like to see more .
funshootin1 he's also retired marine force recon
people like this dont want you to hear of them
Fantastic, i agree 100%
Uh oh.... extra super tactical is wearing your sunglasses with your night vision down. @ 5:33. Hahaha.
I would definitely like to see more on this topic from this channel.
Awesome Intel, Mr. Doyle
Outstanding 🇺🇸🤙🏼
Awesome vid guys. Thanks

That old but gold Crye Precision Cage Armor at 4:09  !!!
thank you
I like this guy...he kind of reminds me of Sheriff Clarke for some reason.
jonnytestnj Black and a goatee, yeah we all look alike.Take that shit to your alt right dumpster.
Shut the fuck up sheriff Clarke is a piece of shit human garbage.
Clarke can fall dead for all I care,he's an asshole.Glad to see and hear about Buck though.
hi LAV, hope to see you at the international defense exhibition in the UAE. it's gonna start on February
Def agree with the LEO having/needing night vision
Doug Floyd why so they can continue to knock the wrong doors down and kill the innocent people in the wrong house.Until the cops start using Swat units correctly and take the time to confirm the address they shouldn't even get guns and ammo.
ode to you, kind sirs!
First and foremost, thank you for your service! Secondary, what magnification range do you recommend for a recce rifle as well as barrel length? Look forward to your answers...
Super badass 💪💪
Great Video
Good video!
Would love to know the build list of his rifle
Nice video!
Who is making the cool soundtrack?
LAV at 1:07 you might wanna blurr his call sign as well marsoc call signs are the dudes initials

Not socom, recon.
@@Rubeless He was Recon/ForceRecon/Raider

spoeni thanks! it looked at first like he was using the magnified optic. I've seen the irons mounted off to the side. Makes sense.
Do you have a recommendation on an inexpensive form of night vision, either Thermal or IR or another and why that recommendation over the other forms of night vision?
Iamsapient maybe check out military arms channel. Think he has a video for you.
No that mustache saved your life
So many police departments really don't need nigh vision, little small one horse towns all over America I think are fine without it.
Sasmodog guess better not to prepare for the worst huh. Better to need and not have then have and not need... derrrrr wait a minute that sounds backwards

What kind of AR was he running? I'm pretty sure it was a Sionics
The lower looks kinda like my PWS
What state is this shot in?
Anyone know who makes the 45 degree sights on Buck Doyles rifle?
It kind of looks troy sights with the XS CSAT aperture.
lions cornwall yes I think your correct.
Eric Hill could be Knights Armament.
Cool.
I'm an active duty LEO and would like to obtain some night vision capability. Unfortunately my department won't be funding this. Can any of you gentleman point me in the right direction on good brands and any other possible considerations. Thanks
Lee Tinch you dont need night vision cops are safer than citizens.
Does anybody know why he is tilting his gun like that? I mean 45 deg counter-clockwise.
He’s using offset iron sights
the guy does make a good point being that majority of crime takes place under the cover of darkness. much respect for him, more officers need better capabilities to see at night.
Spoken like a true bootlicker
This guy depends on law inforcement 😏 ... I bet his whole family is battle train ....I bet he only need the law inforcement to write a report after he done taking out the criminals
Semper!
is he so used to drills w/ the huge sniper rifles that he just instinctively runs with the grip above his head?
*Sick Gameplay*
I thought I was watching Westworld
Is he force recon marine raider?
Carlton Thomas he served with force until Marsoc was born then went there
10-4 thanks
is he ex MARSOC?
sam torr Yes. Check the video description.
sam torr No, ex reconnaissance marine, who served with MARSOC
sam torr most Force recon guys went to Marsoc in 2006, I actually know one of the original guys.
ah that's cool i didn't know that, why the cross over for that year, is that standard now?
sam torr back then it was, it was when MARSOC was founded and needed bodies quickly
Real deal..gungy!
does anybody know why is he holding the rifle sideways like a gangster
He has iron sights attached at a 45 degree angle to transition from the top mounted optic and back, depending on the distance of the threat.
2:13 the target board is racist *ding*.
Sorry, I watch too much CinemaSins.
"I rely on police and LE to protect me and my loved ones" Not the brightest crayon in the box. When seconds count, LE is just 8 minutes away.
B_M_F_710 I think he means from terrorist threats to his community.
Still stupid to expect a group of people in a costume that cant even effectively respond to regular crime. To protect you from a hell bent terrorist. Zero Logic Error 404.
Former Force Recon Marine and Marine Raider Operator for 21 years Nuff said!!
SIT-WARE & O.O.D.A.Loop
1:07 Elcan sighting......
Too legit.....
all these shooting skills can be useful in Mexico
national geografic
It's all about the pvs14 ;p
the real ass deadshot..........
👍
very good marketing
I wonder what he thinks about leo now LOL
👍👍🇺🇸
in urban environments especially the type found in the US night vision is not effective.
thermal would be the better bet and has far more uses.

Great video. One point. Last time I was in combat, there were no straw bales stacked up to hide behind. In fact a 6 inch rock saved me.
It's just training
but was it a firearm
BAMF
