Time will tell with new media.... I have some sealer Kusuri top coat sealer ,when adding cures to sores , it works well , stops it from washing off when put back in the pond ..Dave

Just got 25 litres today ironically to add to my 220 outer chamber. Having some small spikes in ammonia. We will see what happens. The theory sounds great let’s see the reality.
Koi ,water, plants And rants thought you’d like to know about the media It’s been 3 weeks since I added about 20 litres to my 320 in addition to original K1. All my water perimeters are perfect even the PH.

Quite interested to see if the new media will do as good a job as the micro if not better on mechanical cleaning side of things, was looking at doing the micro upgrade like d koi has to my 300's but this looks like a good compromise between the two with smaller holes to catch the fines but a larger size media so it doesn't escape out of the easy. Got to get over to queni one day, looks like a great place, unfortunately I live down in Kent so a proper day out for a visit. No decent koi dealers round here anymore, koi water barn isn't far but the place is a complete dive now compared to what it was, in its day it was on par with what queni is now but not comparable at all anymore from what I've seen in your vids and others.
Thanks for watching , can’t believe koi water barn has got that bad it used to be one of the best , don’t know how far from Basildon you are but manor koi have nice koi but a bit old school in dry goods , and there’s koi logic too but I’ve not been there for years , I don’t think it will be as good as the micro for fines because it’s still 10mm so it won’t knit together as tight but a definite improvement on the normal k1 , I think they are aiming more at the bio side , but I guess only time will tell . Queni is definitely worth a trip very well set up and very good koi I would wait until their winter event normally feb time with a jap style auction and most things discounted really good day out , if it’s allowed next year that is 👍
Possibly Hikui, have a google. Have you purchased a heat pump, might of missed it as Mrs and Daughter speaking to me whilst watching lol how rude! Media looks ok, the sinking stuff intrigues me more than the floating as ive seen it can be used in a shower.
Hi Andy it did run through my mind that it was Hikui but the colour is still there , it was literally like a dead patch of skin which came away when I rubbed it and there was healthy skin underneath I just put a bit of ulcer swab and propolis on to be on the safe side, they are aiming the sinking more at the aquarium keepers as media for sumps and canister filters , but for ponds it’s ideal for bead filters or converting sand filters , think Tim Waddington has put a shed load in one of his showers to see what happens . Yeah deposit put down waiting for stock to come in , although if I don’t get my money back I’ll have to cancel, should do , just a matter of when really

had exactly same on one of mine, like a blister and when i netted it and looked the skin had come loose in the net and underneath was like you said fresh skin - very odd but seems ok today after treating it. subscribed:)

It definitely would be an upgrade over the k1 you have now EA claim it filters down to 1 micron . You may have the older eazy pod if it came with k1 , the newer ones have smaller grills so the micro does not come through
@@SlavKing95 well the k1 in the older pods was 30litres newer pods with k1 micro is only 18 , so going on that the k+ is the same size as k1 I’d by a bag of 25 litres and see how that goes if you need another 5 then you can get that later if you need to take some out then fair enough 😀😀👍👍
Yes mate , your absolutely right , or a chag with a defect that dealers now call cha utsuri😂😂I have only ever seen one with what I’d call a true utsuri pattern , shame really because it did look stunning .I cover this in a later video, but thank you for watching and commenting👍👍😀😀

Cheers David I use propolis for sealing just need to cure it before putting koi back might have a look at the Kusuri stuff

Would k1+ be a good upgrade for the eazy pod, since people keep saying their micro goes trough the steel grill. I have normal k1 inside atm

I have seen some stunning examples of cha utsuri bred by Mark @ Cuttlebrook Koi Farm it's also 1 of my top 5 must haves for my pond
