We are twinning with the bandaid 😂 I burned my left index finger in exactly the spot where I tention my yarn. 😖Now I am using up old Finding Dory bandaids and my boys are making fun of me lol.

Hello! I think this is the first time that I've commented, but I've been watching all of your episodes over the past few weeks, and now I've finally caught up! Though now I'm sad to have no more episodes to watch 😅 I love how your sweater spin turned out, and I would definitely say go for the Weekender! But either would be wonderful I'm sure. Thank you also for your perspective on Rebecca Clow's patterns. I've watched her for years and want to knit everything she's designed, but I was always a little worried her patterns would be too advanced for me. Hearing you talk about them has helped me decide where to start with her patterns going forward!

Thanks for watching! I can't rave about the pattern enough! It's no wonder everyone is still talking about it a year later! There are always too many patterns and yarn combos and just not enough time - that's why you gotta just chase the joy!
@@a_knotty_mess yeah, you are totally right! I am thinking about using some handspun together with a black fuzzy yarn for the doppio. I have this beautiful advent fiber yarn that was Rolags in a gradient that also has black in it and I plied it with a black. So that might be interesting.
Ugh where are you located? The summer is truly hanging on so many places! We usually have warmer weather in September but it's crisp here and thankfully only intermittently rainy hehe
@@a_knotty_messI’m in Southern New Mexico just north of El Paso. It’s high desert like 3500 foot elevation so it cools off at night and winters are decent. We sometimes get snow that lasts a day or two.
@@24567423ify wow that’s a wild swing to get all the seasons in the desert but so cool! If I had my own way I would definitely have a total southwest looking decor aesthetic 😍 all the warm tones I can’t wear but love!
I personally prefer the Weekender! I’m not too big a fan of circular yokes, and I feel like the texture of the Weekender would let your handspun shine!! But it seems like the DRK Everyday is a bit more popular… I’m currently working on a test knit for Jamie Hoffman, the Lacerback Tank ☺️ And reading my first Freida McFadden… The Teacher!
@@a_knotty_mess I’m only about 40% of the way through, but it seems like every chapter ends with a new plot twist 😅 Very fun audiobook to listen to while spinning or knitting because that way I can let myself be surprised by the twists, and not have my brain too focused on trying to solve the book early haha!

I cast on the nocturnal jumper this week and was FLYING through until the last third where the floats are ridiculously long…. The vibes have become terrible ha! But I’d still love to get it done by Halloween so need to push through - that’s what your lovely episodes help with! As for DRK everyday vs weekender… I personally like the everyday but that’s just me! Your hand spun will look gorgeous in either

I still haven't decided! It's gonna be one of my next cast ons and I just love the idea of both of them so much!

You will love the Fiber Artist ball winder, I have the added hands free Electric add on for mine. I knit while I'm winding yarn with the foot pedal
Yes that may be a later date add on! For now I don't mind winding because it's soooo smooth and quiet :-)
