You shouldn't be surprised. I have always held the Japanese people in high esteem. There just seems to be a sense of...striving for excellence inherent in your people. The way the world is run today it is controversial to say so, and much of the pride in my own people has been downtrodden as well; Germans are a highly-accomplished people as well, but being proud to be German is frowned upon. I think it's time for intelligent and accomished peoples to be proud of themselves again!

There are a couple of fine 12-string guitarists on YT, but Kent plays his 6-string as if it’s got twice as many strings-or if it’s him playing two guitars at the same time. He’s one of a kind.

Kent is truly an amazing talent. I've been following lots of fingerstyle players and am awed by the body of talent that's out there. And that's including the legendary players like Tommy Emmanuel and many others. But recent years have brought about some truly new and youthful talent like Kent (from Japan) and Sungha (from South Korea). But I'd have to admit that Kent is starting to become one of the best already... primarily for the quality of his unique arrangements and the level of technical expertise in employing all the tools known to great fingerstyle artists. I'm definitely a fan for life.
Nishimura-san's music brain is by far the most developed that I have ever seen. To be able to translate what he thinks into impossibly playable pieces - Something out of this world.
Tons of natural talent, but don’t short this man the credit he deserves for countless hours practicing and perfecting his art so I could listen over and over and….
