Best concert Kris and the Borderlords ever gave. This one belongs in the record books. Kris at the top of his game and all the guys behind him were top notch.
Larry Gatlin once said that there were a lot of writers in Nashville that knew the words but no one knew how to put them together until Kris came along. This is my favorite Kris song and my favorite performance. Such a great sound
May Rest In Peace Kristofferson! You’ve lived a full life satisfied with all your accomplishments. Thank you for the beautiful songs that you have shared! Your Legend!
@@ChristineB9046 I’m learning them too, just the lyrics. I was familiar with his hit songs from his early years, mostly made famous by other artists, but I had no idea he had written so many great songs that weren’t played on country radio. I think that’s such a shame. Such beautiful poetry. I know poetry doesn’t have to rhyme, but most things he wrote does rhyme, and in such clever ways. He really put his heart and soul into his songs, and it shows. I wish I’d had the chance to see him in concert. I’m glad to know there are of lot of fans out there who will keep his music alive.
Kris is top 2 (you pick the other) best pop/country lyricists ever. He has very unique ways to say what we all experience. I pray for him and his a blessed life.
I was a 3 1/2 year old boy living in Brownsville, Texas in 1951 and had a 16 year old neighbor who I am absolutely certain was none other than KK. This town is where my 4'-11" mother from Minnesota earned the nickname Giant Tarantula Killer but that's another story I am tempted to embellish as well. There was a movie made about her and that Tarantula in 1954. No really! And that's what I like most about Kris Kristofferson. No embellishment. What you see is what you get. There is no frosting on his cake.
Wished I could turn back time. I was 16 back in 1981. And unfortunately missed Krisˋ great performance in Austin. Would be great if anyone could lend me a time-machine, please!!!!
