Thanks for the review. I added a 1,5 inch spacer (just use tape at almost no cost) and it really gives firing a boost. Furthermore I taped 2 magazines together for fast reload. Just put 2 darts in between, attach the tape in the middle as well and it works fine✌️
Abother excellent video! I run mine with a red dot sight, af bcar and raider stock, gets consistent 160s with good accuracy and is easy to aim. Able to hit a 30cm target 20m away.
Wow. What a great review. You had to run quite a bit to get tags. This reminded of my first war ever. I brought the OG Nexus Pro, and Aeon Pro. Gave up quickly on the Aeon because the range and accuracy was garbage. Ended up using the Nexus Pro for the rest of the day. Looks like the Aeon Pro X is the same.
I didn't even bother with AF PRO darts and the Nexus PRO X Bcar works great on Aeon with standard worker gen3 darts, but only because my DZ metal BCAR went on my Nexus PRO X where it also excelled for accuracy.
It looks like the Aeon Pro X is, apart from nearly identical shell, a completely different blaster than it's predecessor. The springs completely different from the last one.?! Guess we'll have to see what kind of mod parts become available.
I would never run the Aeon in any of it's iterations for all of the reasons you stated, and I just hate top-prime. However, I do think the Aeon pro excels in one role...a cheap blaster to lend out. IMO, it has just enough performance to allow a newbie to enjoy playing in a high performance game (especially with worker heavies), but under-performs just enough to make them want to buy a better blaster. One could argue that this is the Goldilocks blaster for getting friends into the hobby. ;)
I had to drill and file a deeper front prime handle pump slot to see the front pic rail, now its crushing it, but a 3-D printed under prime adaptor kit would max it out ergonomically
Realizing you were going with what the blaster came with in the box, I'd be interested to know how this did with the BCAR that came with the Nexus Pro X. Still, solid review as always and your video is appreciated.
Get a X Shot Skins Pro Series Longshot. I have 2 and a Dart Zone Nexus Pro. I am in the UK and imported them. The Nexus is a heavy prime. The Longshot is much lighter to prime and with the SCAR attachment is much more accurate than the Nexus. It is more compact and does not creak like the Nexus. I now want a Siren Maulr, only $30 in the US, which has 3 power settings and shoots upto 270fps out of the box. Also check out the Siren Gnarl.
I'm in the US. I now want to look up the Siren Maulr. I've never heard of it. That said, I agree with your thoughts on the Nexus pro. I have a few of them for games with my kids and friends. They're decent for that. But, I purchased the Nexus Pro X and it fixes all of the things you mention. Issue is the barrel positioning. It takes a lot to get used to. Buuuttt, for $50.00? I'll probably pick up a couple more and we'll use those as the "base" gun in our games.
Also got the X shot for my 11 year old daughter. That thing is really nice. The new Nexus Pro X blows it away though. Not sure how much they are to ship to the UK. I don't imagine they'd be that bad. Grab one if you can
@jasonschwartz9481 The Nexus Pro X is available in Europe from 1 July for €70.99 plus shipping. I must resist. I think I shall try to wait for the Siren Maulr.
thank you for testing the heavies in a low FPS blaster. i'm ordering some heavies but was worried they wouldn't work great out of my stock xlongshot did you have the same aim point with the heavies also?
Good morning Bradley, Steve here from Knoxville, Iowa...the sprint car capitol of the world. You mention that the Worker heavy half darts are the best performing darts on the market. I think that even they could be made even better if they were bambooed. Less drag? What do you think?
IF you live in the USA it looks like pretty decent value. Especially if you don't mod your blasters. Anywhere else, not so much. A Cheetah 2.0 will beat the performance and will be much cheaper to get your hands on.
any ideas for when this will be available in canada? it is really a pain to get dz blasters or really any blasters from the hobby here in canada because of the shipping prices which are quite high compared to the average income of a 13 years old like me.

I'm completely agree with Bradley in this question, never used slam fire even with my 130 FPS Unicorn.
The Worker buffer tube attachment works great with this blaster for using any buffer tube stock you want.
Thank you. I've been using the maxim pro stock with it but I look on dart zone and it looks like they don't sell that stock, which is unfortunate

Not much has changed with the new versions to be honest with you
Hello Bradley! Looks like a nice pistol. Maybe I'll consider this for my arsenal. My friends are going to be shocked!

You should try the Siren Maulr, next budget sniper?
I stuck a npx barrel on it and it hit 190s on max darts. Just switched it to an 8" barrel vs the 4" it comes with.

Top prime works a lot better using the stock as well as slam fire. But would never use it without a stock

I get around 165fps with the nexus pro x bcar
I have a modded original Aeon with longer barrel. It’s pretty nice

Bamboo adds more air resistance so end up going about the same distance as standard with similar accuracy

Air scars would be pretty worthwhile with these
