Just built one of these today... as my first ever RC kit.
I'd been looking at Tamiya kits as I just wanted something to build but the ones I liked weren't far off the cost of one of these so I figured I'd just go for it and then see if I can find a club and try some racing.

Ive recently just switched from a b6.4 to a yokomo SO 2.0. Originally, i purchased the yokomo to exclusively use as a backup car, but after finding the extreme precision and quality, i sold the b6.4. It only took one practice session with the yokomo to make me understand the sheer amount of slop in the b6.4.
Not that the b6.4 is a bad car (it is fantastic) but compared to the yokomo or schumacher, it is obvious that the fit and finish is poor. Of course, this can be resolved with the 1UP shims. Like you said this car is fantastically easy to drive, but for me it felt very inconsistent, and I could not find the precision i look for as a driver.
Thats the beauty of this hobby though, there are many cars for many drivers.
If you have not tried out a new yokomo, i recommend you take a look when you get a chance
Thank you for the consistent great videos!!

I'll have to get one in. I had a YZ2 around 2020 and that was awesome! Tbh I've got my eye on the new Mugen 2wd to test... should be similar quality to the Yokomo!

I’d really like to pick your brain a little in this one.
I own one myself and I don’t agree with many things you said.
Like the build quality for example.
I got the car relatively early when it came out and had quite a few issues with it. It was a common thing with the early ones that inward pins slid out of the driveshaft and damaged the outdrives and the rear roll centerblock. If you are still running the original blue one with higher roll centers the ballstuds can bend. I guess that’s the reason why in most setup sheets you’ll see the FT part.
Spareparts are relatively cheap. Maintenance parts are rather expensive. Go and check the price of the damper x-rings. It’s pretty out of scope.
If you are running cactus rears and don’t glue down the Schumacher front sidewalls, the car pushes a lot. Unless you are able to work the brakes properly, or got a flowy layout. As far as I’m aware you are not allowed to do that anymore on EOS races, or am I wrong?
On Fuzzbites though…… OMG the thing is AMAZING I wouldn’t want to change a single thing…. ❤
I would really love to dive deeper into this, and talk to you and hear your thoughts on these topics.

    • @SeanyRC
      @SeanyRC  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

I can't say I've experienced these issues as of yet , I am quite early on in my journey with it though so I'll be sure to report back findings , but I won't be doing many more reviews this the B6.4 as I'm late to the party with it! When a new version is out we will hit that hard..
I haven't tried unglued side walla because it was soo good with glued! I do understand though as mentioned people find it pushy out the box. I'm looking forward to working on the setup!
I'll have to try some Fuzz bites then eh! :)

    • @ChrisFlys

@@SeanyRC Yes I totally understand that you won’t be doing much more content on this car.
I am very very curious to learn what you do change, so a link to a setup sheet would be very nice once you have dialed the car in to your liking.
I never got the hang of gluing down the stagger/fusion Schumacher fronts. They have always undone themselves after a while. Any tips or pointers?
I run on EOS carpet. Fuzzbites are insanely good here. I would assume that most people will have similar experiences, as you will find them on a LOT of setup sheets when browsing petitrc. They are low profile, so no fancy glueing required. They are a little more expensive, but they do come with inserts.

I’m struggling to pull the trigger on one because I don’t know if I’ll be any faster with it over my b6.1. I might just wait until I’m faster and the updated b7 has released
