Howdy Adventurers! 👋 We’re so excited to finally be exploring Poland! Don’t miss our previous video where we arrive to Krakow 👉 th-cam.com/video/ju0ulZ-8yc8/w-d-xo.html
See you on the road! ✌️
You should try golabki , (translates to "little pigeons")cabbage rolls stuffed with rice and either meat or veg. The meat ones in tomato sauce taste awesome for such a simple recipe.
So, how many days are u going to be in Poland, and will u be uploading up to datly?
The Endless Adventure Vodka is super tasty in Poland 👍👍👍
The Endless Adventure you can visit Schindlers List Place. Is not fare.
Try some blueberries pierogi with cream.
To dopiero duzo kosztuje
No nie xd
Would love to visit Poland after the pandemic. It seem great and with alot of Nice people. Respect from Denmark 🇵🇱🇩🇰
Respect back from poland 🇵🇱
You are very very welcomed!
i visited Poland twice in the last 3 years and as an Irishman from America I can say after visitng almost all of Europe the last decade, Poland is the most gracius and happy country. I'm not polish but every single person I talked to was so happy. In one restaurant I asked about if they had kielbasa, they said no, but they went out of there way to go buy some with saurkraut. Bottom line they will do whatever to help you. 100% politelist people in central Europe
Welcome in Poland! If you are in Kraków, don't miss the opportunity to visit Wieliczka. Stunning effect quarantee.
to* not in
I've been in Wieliczka
I got scared of the loud noise
Bochnia is better than Wieliczka in my opinion because it’s less crowded since it isn’t as tourist-y.
✌️💕💜❣️🙏
Pierogi Ruskie come from Rus (Ruthenia) a region of modern day Ukraine that was once a part of Poland, the name doesn't have anything to do with russia but a lot of foreigners make the mistake of calling them "russian pierogies"
Varenyky XD
well yeah... but it literally means russian pierogis so no wonder its confusing for everyone
not at all , ruskie means ruthenian , rosyjskie means russian
Wypierdalaj
Name comes form the Region of Commonwealth named "Województwo Ruskie" Russian Voivodeship.
Hi! Brit living in Berlin with a Polish girlfriend - and we're only an hour or so from Poland by train. So we often go there (to either Kostrzyn or Szczecin) - and when we do, we always find somewhere good to eat! Congratulations on your food choices - źurek is one of my all-time favourite soups and the recipe varies from place to place but is always tasty with egg and sausage. Pierogi z mięsem (meat pierogi) are another favourite - and as for cheesecake, my girlfriend is an expert! She buys certain types of cream cheese (not available in Germany) to make it and our German friends think it's wonderful, too!
Pierogi ruskie might be translated as "Ruthenian" rather than "Russian" - parts of Ruthenia (Ukraine/Belarus) were once under Polish rule.
Anyway, I love your videos - keep up the good work!
There's a (German)-Silesian dish called "Schlesisches Himmelreich" (Silesian Kingdom of Heaven) which doesn't seem to have a Polish equivalent. It's meat cooked in a sauce with dried fruit. However, if you travel to Görlitz on the border with Zgorlezec, Poland, it's served in quite a few restaurants there and very nice it is too! Görlitz ia a wonderful old city to visit.
Actualy Germany held Silesia the shortes time. Longer by them Czechs hold it and the longest Poles as its is originaly lechite tribes land then part of Polish Kingdom. Even after we lost it during polish demise during district split to rising power of Czechs inside the HRE, the rulling principalities there were of house Piast which was polish ruling dynasty. So writing that it is part of German land is a bit of a strech. Its almost the same as I would write that Berlin isnt German becouse it was builded by Slavs and then in XIII century was conquerd by Brandenburg. Not only that all east Germany is historical slav land conquerd by Germany. Do you like this kind of narration? Becouse you do it yourself.
Fully aware of the history - and still loads of Slavic place-names in and around Berlin: Pankow, Treptow, etc. The name "Berlin" is of Slavic derivation itself (meaning "Settlement in the Marsh").
Yea but it dont change that its a german city full of Germans ,right? I just wanted to highlight the wrong way of thinking by JustJenny, thats all.
And Im easly trigered by " parts of German land are now under Polish rule", sorry :P
Whaaat, never saw barszcz cost 18 zł! This one expensive, coz normally soups cost like 6-9 zł...
And 36zł for pierogi, I didn't know they can be that expensive
Because It's not a normal price, It's better to go to some milk bar and buy good homemade pierogi than some restaurant and waste so much money for nothing, because I don't belive they made them any better :/
Pierogi should cost 1,5 - 2 zł for 1 piece. Those were so overpriced
I have eaten a plate of pierogi with venison for about 50 PLN. Stuffing was delicious, with thyme and onion, and the pastry was amazing! And so thin, that you could see the stuffing inside - absolutely worth 50 PLN, no matter if it is expensive or not.
Michał Możejko Agree. Best ones can be worth 50 PLN /portion.
Polish Cuisine is the best I have ever consumed! Here in America they have nothing but GMOs food that I will not eat it's banned in Europe thank God! I spent 20 days in Warsaw in 10 days in Krakow! The cuisine was absolutely delicious in many ways! Fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and the meat it's absolutely mouth-watering tasty! Then I tried many of their soups! I was amazing how delicious soup was! I have to say a Polish Cuisine is the best I've ever tasted and my whole life and I have traveled all over Europe and all over the United States.. never have I tasted such scrumptious food that was absolutely tasty and at a very low cost! me lady from Poland, along with myself didn't eat out very much we did from time to time but I tell you one thing there's not one American Woman that can even come close as cooking as good as me lady! I am a professional lead vocalist and I've always wanted to go to Poland and I fell in love with Poland! there is no other Cuisine that could compare to Polish cuisine! That's a fact!
Tracy Turner to all the polish chefs out there we love ya 💕💖❣️💋🙏😇
No kidding system there doesn't like old people retirement money is waist for the system, GMO foods makes perfect cancer and kill them before they get any pension
When I think of Polish food, I think of comfort food. My dad's family had a strong German/polish background so pirogi, golabki, schnitzel, and so many others represent home cooking in my world. Always with a good beer, of course! Beautiful video, guys!
Thanks!
Bigos and kapuśniak
Absolutely. Beer and good food. Best combination 😉!
Golabki are my jam!!!!
Golabki is my favorite!!!
I have been to Poland last year, I really liked the architecture there, the people were very chilled out, and the food was amazing.
I had Zurek the same like you, It is now my favourite soup. I now live in UK and there is a polish bistro not far away, I usually go there to have it can't let go of that taste.
Keep travelling guys, just started following after you visited my country, Romania, I like the way you do your videos, you show what I want to see and it is very informative.
Golabki (pronounced Go-Wompki) is my favourite comfort food in the world. Sausage meat and rice, wrapped in cabbage leaves, covered in a sweet tomato sauce mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
nope. NOT sausage but minced meat.
I am Polish, living in US now for almost 4 years, and seeing you guys trying the food and enjoying it made me so happy and actually jealous a bit! Good luck with your adventures :)
Polish foods are amazing, I should try this. 😉👍💯
They look so tasty
I want to too.
How do you know its amazing if you havent eat it yet?
Oh yes, I love it. And hundred varieties of soups 😉 I live is Spain for about 10 years but I miss Polish food.
timmay timy actually you can say foods
I'm polish American. My favorite foods are baked blueberry pierogi, naleszniki, and kalduny. Also, when I would go to Poland, we'd go to bars/clubs then afterwards we'd stop by the piekarnias (bakeries) and eat stuff they made for the next morning the best
Pierogis all day every day!
Heck yeah ✊
say one more time pierogis and you will get a fine or ..wpierdol
Oh yeah
@@julianjarczewski1150 co to jest kurwa pierogies???
Pierogi są pyszne
My Polish favorite is Dill Pickle Soup. Sounds weird but it's really potato dill soup with some pickles, Delish! Love you guys, great editing, have fun!
Polish food is amazing! Pierogis are my favorite food in the world. My grandma used to make all this. Her cooking was to die for.
I’m a American with Polish, Romanian and Lithuanian background. My late husband was born and raised in Łódź Poland. Petrified can be savory or for dessert, boiled or fried. Next time you go you should try the National Hunters stew, Bigos. I’m sure you will love it. The national soup is Flacki made from tripe.
Next time you can try bigos (hunter's stew), gołąbki (minced pork with rice wrapped in a cabbage leaf), zrazy (beef roulade with pickled cucumber), kluski śląskie (Silesian dumplings), pyzy z mięsem (potato dumplings with meat), grochówka żołnierska (soldier's pea soup)...
Hiya. My favourite Polish food of all time has to be Golabki, stuffed (savoy) cabbage in a rich tomato sauce. Unfortunately, in the UK, it's difficult to find the really large-leafed cabbages of my youth. A huge potful would be made which was supposed to last several days - but it never did!!! All the best to you.
I keep telling them same thing. My dad makes massive pans, with about a hundred in, and then my family pigs out on them. You can still get the cabbage, but need a decent greengrocer not a supermarket to get it. I am curious what tomato sauce you use though, my family uses Heinz tomato sauce, which i find abit odd, but it produces such an awesome flavour after the vinegar is boiled off combined with the cabbage.
So true, I get all my veg from the local market, whenever possible. Cheaper for quantity and better than the supermarket, too. But even there, these days, they're starting to trim the cabbages to look "pretty". I just make the tomato sauce from scratch, the basic way. But I like more of a Southern European taste, so I add onions and some garlic. If they don't melt away in the cooking, I give it a blitz with a hand blender. I REAAALLY want to add Basil, too, LOL, but I daren't! Does your Dad do sauce on bottom, layer of "pigeons", sauce to cover, layer of "pigeons", sauce to cover and so on?
Yes, with a layer of cabbage on bottom to prevent the bottom layer sticking, then once the pans filled, tops with water to cover the parcels and top layer of cabbage.
Hungry now! All the best to you.
Lol, same here...
My favourite is Chlodnik (cold beet soup and potatoes) I prefer slightly warm. Placki (Polish Potato Pancakes) try savoury with sour cream. We use to eat the left overs with a sprinkle of suger the next morning. Sorrel soup, sour soup with egg and potato... My mouth is watering.
I'm Polish and first time hear about Maczanka, have never seen this in my life 😄
Dont worry, I didnt know it either. Probably a Krakau specialty🙈
20 seconds in and I’m already freaking out about the fact that someone actually said Krakow right for once. On behalf of all Polish people, THANK YOU😂
Agreed. It isn't even that hard. Try getting someone to saw Lodz correctly is like pulling the teeth.
"Barszcz z uszkami" but with mushrooms dumplings filling is a traditional Christmas Eve soup.
In my home too, never forget that! Delicious!!!
Yess
@@JohnDoe-ck5nr Yes! My favourite soup!
My favourite soup!
Loving your Polish adventure so far especially this food adventure! My husband is Polish and we plan on visiting Poland in January. I cannot wait to go! I want to try a Zapiekanka! It's like an open faced sandwich/pizza type meal. Y'all should try it! Try Bigos! It's a stew with sauerkraut and different meats all in one pot. Also Paczki It's a Polish donut! Happy travels and happy eating!
Eat With Eileen Bigos is also known as Hunters Stew :)
I am Polish. So if you plan on visiting Poland, the best Zapiekanka is in Plac Nowy on Kazimierza in Crocow (old yewish destrict). Paczki with real rose jam are the best.
Aleksandra B. Rose Jam paczki are definitely the best!!
Good plan, good luck!
Zapiekanka is a POOR meal from time of PRL. We had not a hamburgers or pizza than some ppl try to make fake fastfood from simple bun with cheese and mushrooms... And make it in microwave or in simple stuff something like toster.
As a pole I welcome tourists from America you guys are always welcome as well as everybody else in the world. Poles will great you with smiles and open arms ☺️
Żur or Żurek (Poles just love their diminutives) is actually soup made from fermented flour
I went to school in Poland for 4 years and had it almost everyday! I loved it and miss it so much!
I was born in Krakow but now I'm sending you warm greetings from Chicago USA where I've been living for last 30'ty years.
I'm half Polish and I always enjoy a good Polish dinner!
I lived in Poland for a year and a half and some of my favorites were Bigos, Gołąbki, the żurek from Manekin (comes in a bread bowl) and the Fererro (or any types of the) Należkniki from Manekin. Anything from Sowa bakeries are really worth trying! That's just a few more that you must try next time your in Poland.
Pierogies are a never ending variety of deliciousness, sweet cream cheese and cabbage and beef are my favourites!
That's 'pierogi', not 'pierogies'. Pierogi is the plural form while 'pieróg' is singular.
Pierogi is the plural. They also got them way overpriced lol
I have a soft spot for Polish sweets, my Babcia (grand mother) used to always have some when we visited or we'd pick some up for her when she wasn't feeling too well. Paczki, krowki and chrusciki are my favourites!
Hi, kids! You guys seem to be the ages of my own son (who lives in Austin and is 28, turning 29 on August 22!) and his live-in girlfriend. So I love watching your various adventures and wish I had the money to return to Europe, where I visited in 2014. I did not, however, get the chance to visit Poland in 2014. I really want to travel there and have been planning, because I am half-Polish on my mother's side and I want to see the land my grandfather emigrated from in 1904 (to escape being drafted by the Russian army, no less). I'm turning 64 in October, too, so there's not too much time left for me and there is a sense of urgency on my part. But I vicariously enjoy your travels in the meantime.
Several things I suggest you do or try while you are in Poland: (1) As you are in Krakow, I do suggest a trip to Auschwitz; I know, I know, it seems like a bummer - but NO ONE should pass up learning a significant part of not just Polish history, but world history. We must never forget the Holocaust and the suffering Poland endured during the Second World War. (2) I want you to find a hotel for me named the Goodbye Lenin Revolution (it is west of the train station, near the Krakow Old Town), and find out if you can how they got started. I want to high five them when I get there, just because of the name! Lol! (3) You must try the stuffed cabbage in both Krakow and Warsaw (called golubki, I believe; there are several different names for it, my mother called it something different) and the original milk bar (bar mleczny) that Andrew Zimmern visited in Warsaw and talked about on his show "Delicious Destinations." The stuffed cabbage, when made right, is absolutely delicious and tomato-ey with the sauce it has.
Continued wonderful travels, kids. Enjoy the rest of Poland.
"Bar mleczny" it's milk bar. Are bars with homemade food at a good price. This is not a company like Burger King. Private people do business with the help of the government. Pensioners, students, not rich people eating there. Some bars are very good, others are fatal
I'm sending you a link to the old comedy "MiS" Teddy bear. This is a comedy from the communist era :-)

I hope you guy’s like it :) You really tried part of Poland, not what most YT tried from jar or can. Thanks for promoting this food as worth to try.
Next time when you will be in Poland you have to try kluski śląskie and gołąbki
Bro last month I felt in LOVE with Kazimierz! It has this vibe of trendiness, lotta artsy places, jewish people hanging around, lotta good appartments mixed with not ghetto "babushkas" style. Overall good place to be
First time I'm this early! I guess I should take this opportunity to tell you guys I really love your videos. Food always looks delicious and you two are a treat to watch. Fun, easy going and no cringy pretentiousness. Lots of love.
Aww, thanks! 😊
Pierogi, golabki, red style barszcz, zupa grzybowa, kotlety schabowy and anything involving kielbasa is my favorite Polish foods. I also enjoy cold foods such as sledzie and jarzynowa salata.
It's so nice to watch how people from other countries loves our traditional food :) I hope you are spending great time in Poland! I recommend to visit Baltic Coast and see Baltic sea - very beautiful, romantic part of Poland with beautiful beaches, salty water and great sunsets :)
My friend and I were in Kraków about 2 weeks ago and went to Pod Baranem. We loved it to much we went two nights in a row!! Loved Kraków!!
Ogórki kiszone! Best of Poland!
I find it very amazing just how small our planet is and just how similar everyone is from different areas in the world by the way everything cooked and eatened
Next time you should try bigos. Im polish and that's definitely one of our best, and most traditional, foods 😊😊
Thank you for visit Poland! Come back whatever you ready!
If you are still in Krakow, you should try the Stari Port Pub! Its just on the edge of old town and has a great local atmosphere! We went nearly every night we were in Krakow! We also loved the same beer garden in the Jewish Quarter! Have fun! -Chris from Missouri
These two soups look so yummy. I serve the beet soup with dumplings for Christmas Eve supper and the rye soup for Easter lunch, and I serve them in exact same bowls with two handles.
Your blog made me hungry. I grew up eating kielbasa and sauerkraut, perogies.
I really like your relaxed attitude, Endless Adventurers :) Always so nice&soothing to watch your videos :) Thank you for the good job!
Great videos guys as always! I went to Krakow in December 2016! I'm going back this December!
Good and cheap dumplings you will find: "Pierogowy Raj" street Sławkowska 25 , "Przypiecek" street Sławkowska 32, "Przystanek pierogarnia" street Bonerowska 14 , "Domowe Przysmaki" street Slawkowska 24A , "Suchy Pedro" street Lwowska 1, "Love Pierogi" street Józefa Dietla 77 . These are restaurants with Polish, classic food and a good price: "Gospoda Na Woli" St. Królowej Jadwigi 223 "Marchewka z Groszkiem", St.Mostowa 2, "Kuchnia u Doroty" St. Augustiańska 4, "Rajska 8 Bistro" St. Rajska 8, "Morskie Oko Restauracja" Sq. Szczepański 8, "Szara Gęś" Main Market Square 17. You don"t ask in hotel information. You ask the local inhabitants.
Thanks for that! We are staying in the Jewish quarter! It's going to be pretty cold last time we was there it went down to -12
Pod Baranem is actually considered the best and one of the most expensive restaurants in Krakow. You could get near the same quality food, especially pierogi, for 1/3 of the price anywhere else. But kudos to you that you went to one of the more prestigious places, shame you ordered ordinary dishes and not their specialties. The lamb is to die for and there are other dishes on the menu that are truly spectacular, even if the wait time is very long.
Poland ♥♥♥ i love poland!
I can't get over the transformation that has occurred in Poland since 1986 the last time I visited there.
"Ruskie" means Ruthenian not Russian in Polish. That filling was typical for today's border region of Poland and Ukraine (Ukraine used to be called Ruthenia/Rus).
Nowaday word "Ruskie" is used as an offensive name for Russian people.
Ukraine and Russia have a dispute about who is the real heir to the medieval Rus/Ruthenia. Poland is Team Ukraine in that matter.
"Ruskie" is used as an offensive name for Russian ---- i i dont feel like is offensive.. okej we shuld use rosyjskie but ruskie is quite normal in Poland that i really cant agree with You. Wish You the best !
Yeah you can put anything on a pierogi, whatever bits of leftover you have, potato, onion, cheese, fruit. Sour cream over than is awesome. Easy to make also. Just a bit time consuming. So we make a bunch then freeze them. They make a perfect quick meal when life gets hectic.
Love this guys! My Grandma and Grandpa on my Mom's side is Ukrainian and they always make thisnsame exact Borscht and what we call and you would pronounce is called "ushka" for Christmas and also the Perogie was a part of Christmas tradition as well as many other amazing items we had every year :) My Mom continues to make these traditional things every year even though they have passed away so it means a kot when I see you eating them :) My grandfather lived in Poland as well part of his life :) Enjoy your time there and can't wait to see more food and scenery :)
In polish is, uszka, miss them so much!
i'm really happy you guys enjoyed Poland and polish food, you made a perfect impression of how the real Poland is :) Thank You guys :)
me too ...............!
I always enjoy your videos!
Me too :)
Aww, thanks! ❤️
I love to watch your videos, they give me ideas for my travels to come. I am first generation American with a family from Poland so I’ve grown up eating lot of good home made polish food. If you get more pierogi you have to get the cabbage and mushroom ones they’re my absolute favorite out of all the savory flavors and I also love the blueberry ones I highly recommend them
Thanks for watching, we'll definitely have to try that next time!
Nice polish food's video,Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Sat here salivating! That food is awesome.
The food so delicious. I am mouth watering.
@@ricksmith4145 hahaha..... ok
Polish on both sides of my family. My grandparents always had stuffed cabbage, chicken paprikash, pierogi, and czarnina (char-NEE-nah). I learned the recipes at a young age...except for the Czarnina (ducks blood soup...not a fan lol). I would love to go to Poland and experience and taste their authentic versions.
My family and I were in Krakow last weekend, and I highly recommend exploring the restaurants and pubs in Kazimierz, the old Jewish Quarter. You won't be disappointed!
That first sandwich looked amazing! All that sauce on it - yum! 😋
głodny się zrobiłem po obejrzeniu tego filmu , mniam . :)
🙃🤣, głód ci minie z racji 36 zł z porcję pierogów m😎❗😃
Love Krakow! Thanks for the memories ❤
I'm so happy that you have a good time in Poland .Guys u always welcome .😎
I was born in Poland but now live in Australia! So excited that you guys are in Krakòw!
Whilst you're there you MUST try pączki (Polish donuts) and you also must try zapiekanki (like pizza, but on a baguette!).
Can't wait to see your next video in my favourite city!
I jaka prosta polska mowa? Ona pisze po angielsku...
I'm really proud of Poland and that you love our food :) Pierogi are something I really miss becouse I live abroud I'm just waiting someone bring me :)
Krakow is so awesome!
I really invite you to try Zapiekanki and the best one is in Jewish quarter. Also, the traditional smoked cheese in the form of noodles. Believe, it's incredible! They also serve it with cranberries.
Oscypek?
I suggest to you next time you come to Poland you need to visit for a month, everything is beautiful not just one place but other places as well. You did good on the food everything there is good.
There is a polish version of hamburger steak/meatloaf called Kotlet Mielony that is so deceptive in appearance but taste amazing!
You were right about the barszcz being good in winter - it's actually a traditional food in Christmas time :)
Howdy! Great vlog, you have to try oscypki (bbq goats cheese) with jam. Or gofry (waffles). Or szarlotka (apple pie) Mmm Tasty! 😋
i live in poland 30 years and i tell you. Pierogi you have to make in home. This is best awesome . Try it realy good
Polish bakery is popular and you should try
I love the pierogis when I was over there, I went to the North of the country, stayed in the old city of Gdansk, you guys would love it there, so much history!!
Mad prices. You will get the same stuff for like 1/3 of this cost in Bar Mleczny!
And the wonderful communist ambience will come free with the meal!
Im from Poland thanks for good opinion 😊
18 zeta za barszcz ? chyba kogoś pokurwiło chociaż nie wiem jak byłby dobry to 18 zł to przegięcie i jak tu się ma przysłowie "tanie jak barszcz" ?
5 zł w Warszawie🙋
Boże ale z was cebulę, wiochę robicie... Ja bym dała, 18 zł to nie dużo. 😒
Congrats for the excellent video!
If people want to try original polish food, they should go to place called "bar mleczny" (literal translation is "milk bar"😃). In Krakow foreigners should go to other borough, for example Nowa Huta, there are a lot of this kind of places. You can try there REAL polish pierogies, barsz etc and for much much less money (for example barszcz costs 3 zł = 0.81$ not 18 zł!!!😫 And 10 pierogi cost 9 zł = 2.40$). Plus food in this place is much better than in touristic bars near to Market square (these are tourists traps)😊😊
It's not actually true that food in bar mleczny is better. For sure it's cheaper because it's made of cheap and rather low quality ingridients. I'm not saying that it's bad though.
@@patricedecourcy4505---- cheap ingredient = bar mleczny but it tastes GOOD!
guys, you're both being so positive pretty much about everything, literally an example to follow! definitely a soothing commentary for my innately complaining Polish soul :D great exploring job done our there in Kraków. honestly, I haven't the slightest idea what 'maczanka' could taste like, perhaps it was a typically Jewish food though I would doubt it either way. for the "blood " beetroot soup with the dumplings filled with meat - it's a 100% traditional Polish dish, popular especially for Christmas Eve. Same goes with Eric's żurek: this one though makes for a traditional Easter breakfast, particularly for those who celebrate the Christian tradition of going to an early morning Resurrection mass on Easter day - so a sour soup with boiled eggs and soaked breadcrumbs at around 9 am is more than welcome :D in fact, it's served all year round. And sernik is one of my personal favourites when it comes to desserts, and I am not alone in my judgment. lovely to have met you, guys and until next time! cheers from warsaw.
those prices are insane almost 40 PLN for pierogi which should cost like 25 PLN max and those 2 cups of soup being so small shouldn't cost that much but I guess the prices are inflated since Krakow is a tourist destination
Beet soup has beets and a broth with sour cream. Periogies are usually potatoe and cheese or kraut. There's also stuffed cabbage, city chicken which is actually pork and veal on a stick.
Wow looks great iv had perogie before its yummy wd have a polish deli here in Paisley Scotland, not sure if that's how you spell it I'm new to your channel think it's great and so interesting to see all the different places so thank you sooo much definitely making me hungry 😊😊😊
Thanks for watching!
Oh you killed the pronunciation of schabowy but I do love the way you did it! I just may start to using it ;) And thanks for so much praise!
That food looks fantastic!
The schnitzel you've got is very small for that price. If you are still in Poland near Cracow go to Wieliczka. There is a restaurant there where they serve decent sized "Kotlety" for same price ;)
That "Sernik Krakowski" looks amazing.
basically a plain cheesecake
They are "Ruskie" for Ruskin potatoes. We make them every Easter. You don't count as they boil or they will break. No joke. My Great Grandma Horbal taught my grandmother and mother. They taught me and my grandmother's sister-in-law. Aunt Idy started counting, they started breaking. We saute in butter with onion before serving. Not crispy, just coated.
Nobody is going to comment on the high prices of the food? Im sorry to say this but you guys overpaid alot for food. As a local i can tell you soup in a restaurant should not cost more than 8-10 zloty, even in "tourist areas" generally soups are for 6zl...
20zl for maczanka?36zl for pierogi? Should be at most 13zl for pierogi pfffffff
shyatttttup
I totally agree with Gabi. When I was watching I was thinking the same. Good for you guys you enjoyed this food, it seemed to be really good, but you can buy it much cheaper somewhere else as well. Sometimes is better to not use Internet to search for best restaurants but just ask locals. The thing is, that a lot of restaurants try to make advantage from foreign tourists. Normal situation, but like Gabi mentioned, 20 zloty for a small cup of soup is way to much! There are plenty of nice places where you can buy a big plate of Pierogi for for example something around 14-15 zl and a soup for 5-8 zl. Really.
They ate in well known restaurant in town center of big city that's why price was so high but good thing in it was because of restaurant really was making that food from best ingredients :) .
The prices are high 'cause this is Kraków, the same high prices are in other big polish cities. Come to small town like for example Sanok - there are the best pierogi of the world and the prices are not so high and there is Beksinki Gallery.
Right said.
To commenters, you guys should try the red barszcz with meat dumplings. One of the better and unique tasting soups you'll eat in your life. My one overall comment that I've found regarding Polish food is that all dishes are made to fill you up. The zurek(fermented flour)soup with some kielbasa is an incredibly filling meal; I don't love it but it hits the spot.
Omg you need to try zupa ogorkowa and golabki.
The beat soup is actually made during Christmas time with dumplings full of mushrooms and cream in the actually soup part it tastes amazing.
This guy shouldn't keep saying he hates onions, it is clear that he hates raw or strong tasting onion but when treated right like carmelized or using the right onion like a maui or vidalia they are almost indispensable in food
Great video! All the food looks delicious...you must try cabbage rolls or golabki. Looking forward to your next video!
I'm from Poland and Czech Republic. Please when you go Poland please try Kotlet De volay. So delicious
I just met a few polish people and they are very hard working.
