Night has fallen upon the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. The guides have gone home, the lights are out, the school kids are tucked in their beds...yet something incredible is stirring as former night guard Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) finds himself lured into his biggest, most imagination-boggling adventure yet. In this second installment of the Night at the Museum saga, Larry faces a battle so epic it could only unfold in the corridors of the world's largest museum. Now, Larry must try to save his formerly inanimate friends from what could be their last stand amid the wonders of the Smithsonian, all of which, from the famous paintings on the walls to the rocket ships in the halls, suddenly have a mind of their own.

Great video! I'm glad you are liking the series. I just wanted to point out that the bad guy was able to open the portal because he IS the real version of himself. He was a mummy, so he just came back to life. Like his younger brother in the New York museum. It was the real tablet that belonged to his family, so he knew how to use it and the portal.
akmunrah and cahmunrah were the actual mummified bodies, so they were actually brought back to life at night by the magic of the tablet, that's why Cahmunrah was such a threat, and could actually summon his army from that hell dimension, Most of the other exhibits brought back were created, but not the egyptian brother kings.
The next one is sad because it was released in Dec 2014. Robins life ended a few months prior. So seeing this in theaters and what he happens to say at the end of the movie.... it broke much of the audience because it was truly a line that seemed fitting for what his passing. To note on set he was often heard putting him self down, having self doubts, asking if he did things ok....etc. His disease was REALLY forcing him to think he was losing it sadly.
For those who can't wait and want to know the last line he says (SPOILERS) it's "Smile my boy, It's sunrise!" along earlier with talk of a great new adventure. :/
The glow-in-the-dark flashlight, the un-lose-able keyring and the super-big dog bone are all things Larry would have found helpful as a night guard! - He’d be able to find his flashlight in the dark if he lost it, the keys wouldn’t be stolen by Dexter with the un-lose-able keyring, and Rexy would love the giant dog bone
A lot of people don't know this but those statues that were singing were the Jonas brothers
You completely missed the longhaired girl at the end asking Ben Stiller to show her where to find the miniatures, because "I'm always getting lost." (Amelia supposedly crashed in the Pacific because she had gotten lost).
I believe Hank Azaria was doing a Boris Karloff impression (Karloff played the original Mummy in 1932).
I think this movie might be my favorite of the Museum films. It’s a lot of fun.🙂

Ivan was a legitimately terrible person but considering the violent environment he was raised in it's not surprising. Dude was traumatized. O.O

The Egyptian Pharaoh's are real Mummified people, but everyone else isn't, the only reason that some of them, like Teddy are aware, is because he's been Coming to life every night for 50 years and overtime becomes more self-aware, you see this a little bit more in the third film, showing that some of them are self-aware and others aren't, but it usually has to do with how long they have been coming to life for, overtime they just sort of figure it out.
Def recommend the 3rd.. as you said these are fun watches. For some reason I put this in the same category as National Treasure w/ Nicolas Cage as a movie I almost always stop to watch if it's on TV.. Btw i recommend National Treasure I and II if you haven't seen them yet

I know Napoleon Bonaparte is among the villains on this movie, but I see him as an idol. I also made a dad joke of Napoleon.
Example: Why is Napoleon's last name: Bonaparte? As he is buried, they practically took his bones apart. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂Get it? Bone, Bone apart?
This was a totally fun sequel, and I have to admit my favorite part is actually the ending when he meets who I always took to be Amelia’s descendant. 😀
The Brundon scene has been making me laugh ever since I saw this in theaters as a wee lad.
the egyptian ones are the real things because they put real mummies in museums so some of the stuff is real some is wax it just depends

1:14 so funny you say that, Central Park acc was a community, a black community in New York that the government pushed into that area then as they were prospering the government forced them out and took the land and built the park on it
