Probably needs custom animations as to show that the projectile is gonna arc
Skill issue

"MORTAAAAR COMBAAAAT!"
"Where do ya want us?"
"Come on, shorty." "On our way!"
Hidden stat:
-50% reloading speed
Stupid stat tbh
Second hidden stat: +200% Rocket speed
(Or even 300%/400%)
I think it's a bug, not actually slower reload speed. If you look at the clip on the HUD, it reloads the rocket about halfway into the animation.
@@Unsolver that's how that's intended.
The reload animations for the rocket launcher, shotgun, grenade launcher, and stickybomb launcher have 3 different animations. A start, loop, and end. Each loop loads one ammunition, and the end animation can be skipped immediately once at least one ammo is loaded.
So yeah you can spam fire your shotgun by just waiting for one loop to happen.
MORTAR KOMBAT!!!
TEST YOUR MIGHT
Would be very useful for trying to get rid of enemies on a control point or payload cart without being killed
I wonder how Pyro reflect would work.
Sends it straight back the way it came, or it makes it laser guided. Either one would be funny.
Maybe it would basically defuse all speed
And leave it on the ground like a pipe bomb that can be exploded early with a bullet
@@blu3m0nkey
how i imagine it is
- MC soldier shoots mortar
- enemy pyro reflects said mortar
- mortar is redirected in direction of airblast with low speed
- mortar is now on ground and doesnt explode
- can be shot at by allies and enemies for an explosion
@@UH-60_Blackhawk sounds about right
Trickshots on this would be insane
I have no idea how difficult it would be to do this but if you could rig it so that soldier holds the mortar the same way he holds the shotgun. That way better indicates an upward firing angle than the way soldier carries it currently.
from what I've seen, you can't use custom animations for the mortar without affecting the other rocket launchers, you could probably make the weapon viewmodel shaped in a way where it looks angled, issue would be having the reload animation play into it
so this one is best for outdoor than indoor, ok that is actually balance tbh
This channel reminds me of karma charger.
R.i.p to the goat
(Ok maybe not r.i.p since hes probably still alive, but you know what i mean)
As cool as this is, not being able to dodge them rockets is gonna be a problem.
This weapon, along with all TF2C weapons, and the Civilian, and the GRN & YLW teams should all be added into TF2.
no offense to the creator but this weapon is terribly balanced xd
@@onef1n1ty don't worry about that offending him, since I'm pretty sure the guy said he's fully aware about the bad balance, since he isn't trying to make his weapons balanced, just wants them to be fun lol
@@giornogiovanna8476 I honestly prefer this. Weapons should be fun
@@ryanthemostwantedfurry1281fun (for me only)
I think only the normal tf2c weapons
Kinda reminds me of the Javalin missile launcher in how it fires up before dropping down rapidly.
I honestly expected the rocket to fire in an arc like the TF2C RPG, but this works too as a rocket you can fire from behind cover without being shot at in return.
It’s probably more akin to the PIAT antitank grenade launcher from World War II - which makes more sense for a game set in the late 1960s and early ‘70s, as quite a considerable amount of World War II weaponry was still in use then
Wait I must have mispelled Tf2 Mortal Kombat
FATALITY
Red Soldier wins!
*Flawless victory!*
Nice weapon idea, buddy! :)
I was kinda thinking of a similar concept for heavy. A good alternative to the minigun, the ability to fire individual cannon shots at long range while having a very slow firing rate.
What happens if you shoot straight up? Your shot goes backwards?
I think you should have to aim it with the arc in mind, like the grande launcher, because it arcing on its own is weird
How do you actually aim this thing and know where the rocket will land?
Nice…
This shit would be evil on Dust Bowl
Heck yea the Piat, you know what the Piat stand for right? PHIX IT AGAIN TONY
Jokes aside, for animation wise, it could be held upwards at an angle to show that it shoots at an angle, plus I can see this as a "Higher high, lower low" sort of weapon, great for outdoors, not so much for indoors yet the blast radius and damage can be great for possibly corner defenders.
Though sort of wish it was "it will angle downwards so you will need to aim at the sky yourself to mortor it"
I think you should add; Can only be fired when crouched.
Where is the description of reduced reload time?
*_TEST YOUR MIGHT_*
It's gonna be weird to use indoors.
A little fast
Slow down the projectile a little bit
And maybe make the damage slightly weaker
Don't worry i've got lineups
Balance? What’s that?
Imagine this was in Official TF2. Completely P2W Weapon and most fun in KOTH/Payload
TF2 weapons are all able to be dropped (excluding some reskin)
i doubt anyone would use this beside people just trolling around and/or focusing only on defending the objective
Not too complex for tf2 vainilla..
HOW TO PLAY WITH THAT CRAP????????
jaja mortar combat o mortal kombat
PIAT
bison has a better ttk that this shit
What if it reloaded in the background like a flare gun? It could be a good combo tool with another shotgun (in my head it'd be the reserve shooter, but that's not in TF2 classic), but instead of doing as much bonus damage, it shoots players up into the air. That way you can send someone into the air then blast them in the face while your rocket launcher is reloading. I think that would be fun.
