I was on a recovery similar to this in Buzzards Bay. We displaced a lot of water by pumping air into the hull making it possible for our 3" pumps to float her out completely and tow to Mattapoisett town dock. The air bags stabilized the ride home.
Assuming it was only being kept afloat by the air pocket in the bow? If there has been any loose fittings or leaks, I'm guessing it wouldn't have been on the surface too long? As it is, it seems the owner was lucky it could be salvaged. Nice job!
Air bags un the foreward hold, and removing seats and strapping another bag or two in the passenger well, would float that boat. Then de-watering could commence.
@@fishpast1 found out a long time ago, as a carpenter, and as a USN Engineman....just because we've always done it this way, doesn't mean it's the best, easiest, or right way. I'm 73.
@@jerrynewberry2823 more than one way to skin a cat. But there’s a reason we got the job, just like I don’t call a salvage team to build a house ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That boat was being kept on a mooring buoy in a notoriously rough area. We believe the swim platform was lifting water as the boat rolled over waves and would push the water forward (note engine hatch location) filling the boat over a period of time. That is speculation but after pulling enough boats off the bottom you start to see a pattern.
This time I don't think it was him putting the name of the boat in the title. I think it's referring to how the boat was positioned in the water, standing on end. Or at least that was my first thought, never do get to see the name on the boat in the video so I'm not sure.

This is fascinating! You guys are the pros !
What a great job by the salvage crew.
We try our hardest.
The table turn 🤣 "oh this goes that-a way" great video👍
Lise Galbraith “well here’s your problem.” Yea I don’t know why I did that, think I had ran into it a couple times already.
Wow that boat is coming up fast 6:20 I know the footage is sped up but still. Water is also real clear. Very cool!
For sale, clean one owner boat, all fluids recently changed

Looks like the sterndrive was resting on the bottom of the lake, taking the grunt of the weight.
I drove that boat a few years ago!
Well done men 👏

Perhaps but this was far more simplistic, controllable, and easy to execute. After over 40 years we have a decent idea on what we are doing.

@@jerrynewberry2823 and surely I wasn’t telling you how to do your job
This is painful to watch......I also own a 37PC.
It really is painful to watch. Such a nice boat. Terrible to see it like that.
@Elisha Baylor Are you guys still scamming people?
What was the cause of it sinking?

@@expresscruiserlife Can't pump the lake dry
Do you still have to have a salvage licence or is it anybodies gain now? Because that's not international waters.
Was the boat salvageable after this or was it considered totaled by the insurance company?
I was wondering the same since it’s fresh water I assume
My God......
A couple wet wipes n it'll be new again😆
Lol tombstone! Ha! Write the who owner name!
