love the changes! alternative idea for the lamp, you could hang it next to your picture in the bedroom so it could swivel above your bed when you're awake if you want but be over your desk while you sleep!
I would love to see the lamp hung between your bed and desk this way you can swivel it if you need light at the desk or want to read in bed. I love the way the bed shelves fit for your console.
I would have made a small step ladder for that extra space in the bed frame that's not covered by the shelving. I think it would have worked since the bed is so tall anyways. The shelving in the living room looks custom made for that space.
The only thing I didn't like about the bed was the incomplete space. I think the idea of the stairs is so great, it would complete that space left perfectly!
I like how you changed your mind with the bed. Permission to try something and then try something else. Evolving spaces. Not spending a lot of money. Saving room to add new finds along the way. (Side note- the couch is cool and I enjoyed seeing it for however long it stays)
This is an unexpected direction for Rachel and I'm REALLY into it!! I love that the moodboard naturally lends itself to eclecticism and like a smarty arty
the way that bed turned out with splitting the shelves and using half of it in the living room was so satisfying that really couldn't have worked out more perfectly and I feel like having one in the bedroom and one out there it'll just help the space feel more cohesive and the bed does look so cute in the corner I think this was a great revamp of that space. The art print looks so good too! 10/10 makeover
26:43 An alternative you can use to command strips to keep things on your shelves in place is blue tac or museum tac! Either will hold things down, but not damage them. I would not recommend using it on books, but pretty much anything else is fair game! The room turned out amazing!
The way you styled the room together is unique and personal to your preferences and style so I enjoyed watching your creativity develop even though some things aren’t my taste, I love it for you. What I did love for my taste is the bed, DIY lamp and the mirror ✨ so cool!
It gets cold in Toronto, so I would prepare a piece of foam insulation to slide between the wall and the bed. Some quilt curtains may also be a great help. Brick and glass are efficient cold conductors. ❄
@@Lasomie i know, but if bedframe is not touching the wall neither does the mattress...and floor always have a baseboard, which makes distance, which means even, if you put everything against the wall, nothing is touching the wall 😁 the only problem it is matress on the floor without bedframe.
Im living for this series... At 40 years old I just moved out of my parents for the very first time and into my very own studio apartment... this series is going to be giving me so much inspiration when it comes to renter friendly diys & decorating. 🩷 Edit: I suffer from arthritis (had it since i was 14.) i have a lot of joint & tendon damage, and I have serious mobility issues (Ive had multiple joint replacements, walk with either crutches or a gutter frame & use a mobility scooter) Moving out of my parents was a terrifying thought at first, but i am so happy, proactive, productive, sociable, more confident in the abilities i do have, and I'm less anxious... I am cooking my own meals and doing my own laundry, something I struggled with living at my parents as all my energy was going towards getting up and down the stairs. I have carers coming in twice a day to assist me in the things I can't do. My relationship with my mum is better than ever. She has even told me how proud she is of me... I love life again. I'm so excited to do the little diys that will make this feel like a home. 🌹❤️🪛
You can use museum putty/quake hold to secure items on shelves. I have cats & a lot of crystals. A friend who works as a museum curator told me about this product
I loved the cozy, eclectic museum vibes of the room. So many genius DIY ideas. The textured technique for the art print was amazing & paired with the ornate frame was perfect. Overall 10/10 My only suggestion would be to move the picture over the bed & put a mirror over the desk so you can have it when applying makeup. Or if you don't want to move the art print over the bed, then put a mirror on the desk, bonus points if you can find a vintage one or DIY of course 😉 PS: Rachel's soothing voice & the gorgeous kitties make this such a relaxing video to watch. Very calming.
I just started living alone again, in the same house. I am a corner bed sleeper again! There’s room for floor yoga now! There’s places to put all the cushions! I can read and be cosy and never leave. And it just feels safer
You should make a video where you catify your flat, like putting up shelves so they can get up on the half wall. You have so much vertical space that they can enjoy with a little help from you.
Her cats seem like they are gonna catify it regardless! :) But I agree some vertical climbing stuff would be great, but IDK if she can nail into the walls.
Your cats are everything!!! I love them so much. I love how your corner bed turned out. That giant knitted blanket and the colorful one underneath look so cozy, and you have that great window right there. I love the stained glass decal and WOW what a win that the 2nd half of the bedframe became a media console. I really love how confident you are and how you just jump in to these difficult projects.
I’d love a video of each of you just decorating your spaces for fall! Pulling out your yearly decorations and just have a relaxing video where each of you decorate your spaces! Could work for Christmas too!
Ooo! I love the "stained glass" on the window-- looks amazing with the sun shining through! VERY cool lamp hack-- Love the copper color. Well done, Rachel!! Love your videos, and your cats!!
Rachelle just really effortlessly fits as a Sorry Girl. She's funny, she's artistic, she's everything a Sorry Girl can be. Making her an official Sorry Girl is one of Becky and Chelsea's great decisions! ❤
Girl, I don’t know about your cats by that tiny rug in the bedroom would be all over the place in my house!! Great video loved the bed frame turned into the tv stand ❤
Brava, Rachel! Wonderful work, as always! And Butter and Noodle are delightful floofs. We stan all the Sorry Gilrs Pets. I am amazed how you were able to move the bed base to fit so perfectly in the tv space. (Corner Sleepers, Unite!) Also, do not be surprised when (not if) your neighbors add stained glass windows. I love lamp. I know that is a silly thing to say, but darn it, I Love Lamp. Thank you for another (unofficial) Loft Vibes video.
Love the bed in the corner and am gobsmacked at how the extra shelving worked perfectly for the living area/media console. If you could somehow transform the panel for the platform bed to be accessible for hidden storage, that would be amazing. I'm always looking for ways to disguise storage for things that I don't need everyday, like suitcases, or out-of-season clothes.
Love those huge windows. Personally, I would have put the stained glass on the top panels just cause I’d want to look out the window. Such a perfect and cozy corner.
Love watching your process and love how happy it makes you ❤ I joined tsg at the beginning of 2021 when I bought my first house - now I can't wait for each new episode 😀 😍
LOVE the change of the bed and the use of the other side for the TV, I think this looks so much more stylish and makes the living room nicely flow into the bedroom. Plus, how can you not love all the Butter and Noodle moments! For sure want to see more of them in your loft updates!
I appreciate that you do this in your own style. Even if the specific aesthetic doesn't appeal to me these are all really good ideas that can apply to any aesthetic
it looks so good!!!!!! that bed looks so cosy, that stained glass looks perfect and I love all the little details in the room. also that floral blanket on the bed...i need it its gorgeous. so excited to see the rest of the series!!!
Love!Love!Love! i made a similar light with a large plastic "crystal" vase from the dollar store and wrapped the cord with coloured cording. i can"t wait for the kitty diys❤
Love the stained glass and the painting hack. . Even though it's hard to make it and change sheets, I love a corner or enclosed bed. I hope you bought the wood chest at the thrift store! It would be great for kitty box or just storage. TFS
Omg, I absolutely love that you confessed to being a corner sleeper and tried to be a big girl! Lolllllllll! I so get it. Sleeping in the corner is so cozy!
This style isnt to my taste but I absolutely love seeing how by utilizing what you have and can thrift, a space can change! Can't wait to see what comes next! Also tell your kitties I said "Ppssst, pppssstt." ❤️
LOVE the bedroom adjustments, moving the bed to the corner was definitely the right move girl! You gained so much more space and since it’s only you sleeping in the bed, why not! Love the desk in there too, and the window decals are so pretty, so creative that you thought of that for your space. So satisfying that the other part of the custom bed frame shelving fit the wall and angle perfectly as a TV stand. Excellent work! And your cat running on the glue was such a cat move 😂❤ can’t wait for what you do with the rest of your space!
I love it Rachel! I've used alcohol inks before and thought that was a great idea! The mirror is fantastic and I think the floral bon the bed is fabulous ❤

Can't believe how perfectly the second half of the bed platform fit in your living room
right?!!?
I kidda like It even more around de wall of the living Room 🤭
Agreed the corner bed was the way to go. The shelves around the bed were cool in theory but ate up so much space!
That shelf being utilized as a media console 🔥🔥 yess looks so good
love the changes! alternative idea for the lamp, you could hang it next to your picture in the bedroom so it could swivel above your bed when you're awake if you want but be over your desk while you sleep!
That is the best idea!
Neat idea
That's what I thought she was gonna do! I don't think it makes sense where she ended up putting it
I would love to see the lamp hung between your bed and desk this way you can swivel it if you need light at the desk or want to read in bed. I love the way the bed shelves fit for your console.
Not a big fan of the lamp…looks overly DIY
I would have made a small step ladder for that extra space in the bed frame that's not covered by the shelving. I think it would have worked since the bed is so tall anyways. The shelving in the living room looks custom made for that space.
Yes, great idea!
And perfect for the kitties!
Awesome idea! It looks weird with that empty space
That’s what i was thinking! Or add another part of shelving.
The only thing I didn't like about the bed was the incomplete space. I think the idea of the stairs is so great, it would complete that space left perfectly!

Loooove the switch to the corner for the bed, the extra space makes it worth it

It can make your bed mold being against the walls
@@Lasomiemost people have bed against the wall, in fact I dont know a person who doesnt.
@@evicaf4e bed frame is ok against exterior walls. Mattress is not.

I'd have had the cord through the pipes... love your projects
Me too! That's what I thought she was gonna do
Yeah same. Dont understand why she didnt.
OR wrapped around the pipes at the top?
Yes, it doesn't look finished in the way she did it. Kinda looks like it the cord fell.
This!! It looks so weird having the cord next to the pipe like that.
Not the choices i would have made but I LOVE how unique and personal it feels. Can't wait for the next episode!
Love the foot stool used at the end of the bed. Helps a shorty access bed and is a place to sit to put on socks and shoes.
I'll have to say this that a Rachel video is never complete without an amazing light diy....☺❤

3 points.
You nailed the museum look.
You made a cold industrial space look so cozy.

Hi Rachel I love the cameo interludes from Butter and Noodle 😻
Youre matching the yellow and blue of the mirror!
I love what you did to the window! 💚
Loving the eclectic look. I subscribe to the William Morris rule of it’s has to be beautiful or useful. I am loving all of the color.
Love the bed in the corner and the desk! Really the only thing I don’t care for is the little rug thingy on the floor by the bed.
I totally luv the mosaic windows cling. Absolutely lovely colors.
This turned out incredible ❤ 👏👏👏 can’t wait to see the next one

And I looooove the wall sconce !!!
Bedroom looks great, I would of made a headboard though but is lovely ❤
I loooove the lamp! The cord is on the outside as a style 👏 choice 👏 ppl 👏

Loveeeee it. You could even paint the little pink chair that wine/burgundy colour.
Love the little touches of color and coziness!
Very cozy!! Love the look.
This style is exactly up my alley! 😍😍 I love Rach’s videos the most, now I am inspired to refresh my own bedroom
Art museum style/vibes is spot on! Love your choice of duvet cover with the style!

Ohh and I would like randomly place the window decals sooo you can still look outside but have random windows with the pretty colors shinning in
