As much as I like Anettes version, Floor just killed me with her's and burned me for any other woman on earth for lifetime. When Floor goes into her emotional mode you can sleep in the finnish winter naked outside in the woods and still be warmed by her voice and feel comfortable. Much Love from Germany to you and your passionate reactions!
When it comes to Annette on vocals my top 5 songs are this, Eva, The Crow the Owl and the Dove (heartring pulling fan animated video), Meadows of Heaven ( bit of gospel lol), and of course Scaretale.
It is one of the most 'Anette' songs - you can't imagine Tuomas writing that song with either Tarja or Floor in mind. Who he was to deliver the song, does akffect his writing and that is why getting Floor in to replace Anette was undoubtedly partly an ambition on his part. The song suits Anette's husky timbre and pop sensibility. When Floor too over, it never appeared on the Nightwish live setlist, despite its presence on the album that they were promoting. I think Floor decided to play it because, in the more intimate setting of her live show, it worked well, suits her musicians, and she can crack a joke to a mixed crowd (many of the audience knew her from Beste Zangers, more than Nightwish) about how 'heavy' Nightwish are by playing one of their softest, most different songs. To me, Slow, Love, Slow plays well with Tuomas's love of film score music; it has a very 'John Barry' feel with those jazzy inflections. It is also good to hear Floor do something different because that style of singing, with jazzy note bends is not common in most of her music, whether metal or the more pop-oriented singing on her solo album. And, of course, Floor kills it with her stunning voice.
I love Floor and Nightwish together, than it is magic! But in this song, for me is the Anette´s version better. Because its with Nightwish. I don´t like to hear Nightwish songs played without the whole band. And I dont like when Marco and Tarja singing Nightwish songs together. For me the magic exists only with Nightwish.
Wow.. I feel like im smelting😎👍

IMO Anettes best song.
This wasso beautiful❤
There is a movie called "Imaginaerum" and I would say this was written for the scene in the movie. 80 minute film.
It might be Anette's best song, but Floor made it her own. Smooth as silk. The backing band is the same one that backs the singers on Beste' Zangers.

Not a Jazz fan, neither the music nor the singing but they performed both well
For me, Floor can not come close to Anette singing this song. This song fits Anette's smooth jazzy vocals like a glove!!!
