I trained in Kyokushin Karate and Judo for 8 years now. And I never thought of using low kicks like that. Thanks for sharing that. I’m still practicing the Sabaki method and those low kicks can go great with it.
@@GKCgoju yes it is. Sab part is most dojos only focus on that aspect and not the practical aspects. Those would be very beneficial in developing a complete fighter.
Very amazing and very cool and very very unique and I wish I should have stayed in karate really for real despite what anybody else is I think it really is a good martial art and I wish I should have spent it my days and time at it more often than usual and all the good people that was in there 💪😉👍
We love learning from other great martial artists. However these are techniques taken from the kata of Goju ryu. Now the kata of Goju ryu are almost certainly influenced by surrounding cultures.

Great DVD from a Shorin perspective, Naihanchi and Rohai applications come to mind. Great timing sequences too.
Thanks.
I don't usually comment here and I study a different style but this video is excellent. Very fluid movement with follow through. Good work.
Thanks for your comment.
You can never go wrong with low kicks

All Martial Arts evolve
Good to hear.
Lovely 😎

Everybody says the Crescent Kick is useless until they take one to the knee.
Katsunori Kikuno uses that in MMA. And his only background are Kyokushin Karate, Okinawan Katate and Judo.
Very true.
Are there high kicks in goju ryu?
Many goju practitioners practice high kicks. Here's me demonstrating kicking: th-cam.com/video/jSLmuLoHAk4/w-d-xo.html
@@GKCgoju are there any high kicks in any of the goju ryu katas?
@@Leonardo-bo4wfnot really. Suparinpei has a jump kick and a furi-geri.
