Welcome to my channel.
This video demonstrates the voltage difference that is created by the parallel battery bank. The voltage of the parallel battery bank is subtracted from the voltage of the serial bank.
In this scenario we are using five 1.2 volt batteries in the series bank resulting in 6 volts. In the parallel bank there are five 1.2 volt batteries resulting in 1.2 volts. Therefore we have 6 volts minus 1.2 volts equals 4.8 volts which is more suitable for the LED light used as it is a 4.5 volt LED.
