The equipment on Amtrak Midwest Service changes. The Michigan trains have often used Superliners in winter, because the Horizon fleet cars can freeze up. I think CNs requirements have more to do with the number of axles on the train than the equipment type. Videos from past years do show Horizons on Saluki trains -- and all this will change with the new Siemens cars.
