- A series of videos on N scale railroad modeling of the electrified Washington DC to Boston Northeast Corridor. Each video covers an era from 1930-2022. Videos feature my WIP 33’ shelf layout with 4-track mainline, catenary, protoypical 8-track station, elevated 3rd rail, 6-track bridge, and subway station.
Existing era-prototypical trains are run together. Their history and model performance is briefly reviewed. Since few NEC models are available, I present an elaborate Wishlist of future train and structures models including my rating, liveries, history and potential manufacturers. I encourage viewers to contact manufacturers to produce their favorites.

This is so cool! If I ever get into N scale, I want to make something like this.
Always nice to see a fellow Corridor modeler! Well done!
I guess I need to check your channel out too then lol
We need to start a club
Hi there from New Zealand. An interesting option you are looking at here particularly as there is something quite fascinating about passenger trains, particularly those on the Northeast Corridor. For some reason, from what I have observed, modern US passenger model railroading doesn't have a very big following in the US so your approach is a refreshing breakout from the norm. Thanks for sharing.
this is the most amazing notheast corridor remake I've ever seen, I've always wanted to make the corridor myself too!
You sir, are an absolute genius. This layout is fantastic. I am on the same “track” as you but maybe a few years behind. I have most of the same equipment, and could not agree more with the analysis of function, especially the new Rapido comets. Good to know about the radius and uncoupling. Keep it up, this is a true gem of a layout in its rarity!!!! Appreciate this video!!!
I like the touch of the 707.
Awesome northeast corridor! Where did the station kit come from? Thanks! George subscribed
Fantastic
Wow all the corridor modelers are here
This is now my favorite layout, great job! I like the fact that you are using shelves. I have been using them since 2005 and never looked back! Only problem is, I want to model this as well now!
Please check out Bill Kacell cosmopolitan division of the pennsylvania railroad its trains start in pennsylvania and supposed to run philadelphia Trenton Newark newyork and newhaven con its loop goes around the he'll gate Bridge
It's has a camera on the front of the locomotive so your actually taking a train ride with catanery wires signals and a weather beaten old rail looks it did back inthe 60s
NEC, I’m here for it👌🏾
Train are from Bachmann
How wide are your shelves I love the layout and your channel hope you add more on the northeast corridor
My freestanding wire rack quadruple shelves are 18” wide, but most of my single wire shelves are 24” wide. This is because a protruding concrete foundation sill keeps my freestanding rack shelves 8” away from the wall studs. Once I saw off all the rack shelf poles above track level, all my sceniced modules will be 24” wide, giving me deeper background scenery with a 33’ total length.
BTW, most of my shelves are 48” long, but some are 6-12” shorter or longer to accommodate appliances.
I'm interested in building a replica of the NJ Transit Riverline light rail system.
Should check out Bill chatell model trains its the pennsylvania railroad version of the northest corridor instead of Washington DC he starts in harrisburg and and then philadelphia you known the catenary and skips trenton your suddenly in Newark then a brief tunnel and it loops around new haven conn what's nice it's a n scale with a camera on the engine so it seems real
Check out Bill Kacell cosmopolitan division of the pennsylvania railroad its a super train layout with complete catanery signals old factories old weather beating with cab view with a camera in there locomotive
Trenton Station
Newark Airport
You should check out bill kapell layout it's starts in harrisburg pa through philadelphia then skips trenton and Newark theres a brife tunnel loops around newhaven con
