- Here is another recording of WBAS 1240 West Yarmouth, Massachusetts-this time at (almost) the top of the hour, 2158 UTC on the afternoon of December 30, 2023-a “reverse Murphy’s Law”! Follow along with what I wrote next, and see if you hear what I hear:
“Good afternoon…..This will be our design….to make music more [intensely?], more beautifully, more [enjoyably?] than ever before.* These are The Memories Stations- WJTO AM 730…..Bath/Brunswick/Portland; WJIB AM 740, FM 101.3, Cambridge/Boston; WBAS AM 1240, FM 106.5, West Yarmouth.”
For a 1000-watt station, at a distance of over 1,275 miles per Free Map Tools, on a US “graveyard” frequency no less, this is a fantastic blessing, to say the least!
Equipment used:
General Electric Superadio II
Grundig AM Loop
Terk AM Advantage Loop

What an amazing catch! Wow
Wow! I'm almost deaf and I was able to clearly hear the ID via my TV speakers!
That is good, AND important, to know. I am never sure how everything looks and sounds in SD mode. There is a YT tutorial on how to upload in high quality; but it isn’t working for me.
@@christopherdunne7848 I was an AM band DX'er from 1969-1974. My best catch was XEMO-860, 5 KW, from Tijuana, in Alexandria, VA. Near D.C. I've been a TVDX'er since 1971. Logged over 300 stations before Digital destroyed it. BTW, there are Canadian TV's on VHF-low. CKPR-2 is digital at 720p (Apparently the "Canadian Standard") on RF 2. Was a summertime regular in analog. Would never QSL. (Neither would KUSD-2) Why did I stop AM DX'ing? I figured XEMO was as good as it would get. And, I "went to the other side of the RX." Didn't look back for 45 years. 73
John, I have quite a bit to say about the hobby today. Some related to what you wrote here. email me at cd050659[at]gmail[dot]com--Note that a lot of my AM DX on my TH-cam page are away from home. The AM buzz here can almost sound like a beehive.
Another "Nice One!". Chris! Gray line copy, based on your local time, correct? Blessings for 2024! Michael N6TWX
That is correct :)
Please can you post more videos of Cuba televisions on 90's ?
I can, but I still do not have a PC. Maybe by May 2024. It will look like that 1991 video. But give me time, please. BTW I never kept a log of exactly what is on my VHS or DVD. :)
can you post the Intro from Tele rebelde 1996 and Clossing logo from Cubavision? please
