    Many thanks for sharing your knowledge Luke. I discovered your previous Shotcut tutorial last May, when I was looking around for info on how to get more out of some video editing software I bought. I abandoned that software and with info from your tutorial, I've been using Shotcut ever since to make phone-sized music videos of my band during (socially-distant!) lockdown - I've done about 30 now. This latest tutorial has brought me on further - I picked up some great shortcuts & will now be using keyframes! So thanks again Luke, great job, much appreciated.👍

      @LukeMcHale  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      deantree - thanks so much for checking out my new tutorial, and for the kind feedback on the last one as well! Yes, definitely check out keyframes - the example I demonstrated (pan/zoom) is not hard to do, and it makes the video look like a cameraman is filming. I showed an example with only 1 track, but if you want to add it to a project with multiple tracks, just add the size-position and keyframes on the "output" (master track) to apply it to the whole video. Thanks again for the awesome comment! 😁🎵🤙

    Excellent tutorial video. Clear and well thought out. Is there a drop shadow filter for text without the duplication method? My only suggestion would be to "fade out" the talking head once you've established yourself as the instructor at the beginning. Then, "fade" it back in at the end for your closing remarks. Otherwise, well done.

    • @LukeMcHale
      @LukeMcHale  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi StoneyRun - thanks for kind words on the tutorial! ShotCut does not currently have a filter like a drop shadow. So at present it seems two layers of the same sized text (you can make the lower one black, and add blur, etc.), is about the best option for this. I appreciate the feedback with your additional comments - thank you!

      Anthony - no worries my friend! In fairness to you, it was buried in a topic called "Topic 12 - Keyframes and Pan/Zoom", and it's smarter to take 1 min and ask a question than watch the length of the video for 55 min searching for 'maybe' it's in there. 😁🍺

    You deffo know your stuff Luke, quite a powerful tool clearly when know what your doing. Does Shotcut do video merging? I.e. one video on left sync'd with one video on right for example?

    • @LukeMcHale
      @LukeMcHale  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jonathan - thanks for checking out the tutorial! You pretty much have freedom to work with multiple clips in any way you want to. So if you want to work with 2 clips synched up left, right, you just manually line them up (dragging one clip left or right until it is in synch with the other) and you can move / resize / etc the clips however you want to!
