    There is just something about him that makes these videos so easy to watch. Even tho a lot of them he shares the same info (cause they are the tour he does with different groups) yet there always is something new I take away. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos and please Thank Paul for allowing you to take these videos and share him with those of us who can't make the journey there.

    I would love to try his eggs. I've never had a "real" egg before. Thanks again for sharing Paul with us. My garden is thriving since I've covered it with nothing but organic matter and wood chips and there's nothing that will not grow in it. Just got another truck load of chips a couple of days ago and am extending my garden this spring to plant in later. I've even started a small orchard. Thanks again and thank Paul for sharing his knowledge. He's a Godsend.

    Totally a different attitude from the majority of the Permaculture folks which is give me X amount of money. They can only build these systems. My thoughts on gardening is totally changing. Food gardening is like building a flower garden or a forest. And, now it looks so much better.

      havfaith S. I'm sorry to hear that has been your experience with permaculture designers. What you describe is a failure to address the ethic of care of people. It does take money to design and install systems; but, that shouldn't be all that your contact is about. Paul has already done his design and investment that on his place all himself. What I appreciate about Paul is that his faith is inspirational and he conveys that light to all to whom he speaks. He is truly walking in The Way.

      There is enough information available to start out on our own, we will make a few mistakes but that’s all part of the system

      ***** do you live in an apartment? i have a small yard with basically no top soil, mostly gravel and clay and ive started experimenting with this technique so i guess time will tell.. ive got high hopes knowing anything is possible with god, id like more space as well but i trust the creator will afford me what i need in time. im also going to start planting vegatables in abandoned areas, woods and fields and stuff, just with the extra seed i have.. no expecation of reaping it really but if any survive i'll consider it a win 👍😁

      ***** so true, im never so fulfilled as when im out in nature, all 6 senses are nurtured and its like experiencing true love, a love so big you can hardly wrap your mind around it.. ive spent a lot of time learning and sharing info as well, and it served well for me to do so, and like you i want solutions to everything going on in the world. ive been watching l2survive vids for over a year so i figured it was time for me to start actively being part of the solution. this way seems to cover so many bases, issues of food, money, future, family, morals, the list goes on. i look forward to seeing the benefits of this "way" as it grows and spreads throughout the earth, im really grateful there are people like you who are searching and willing to be a part in that which shapes our future for the better.. i love you for that 😊

    I finally got a couple of truck loads of wood chips .. about 60 yards in total. I have to keep watching these videos to stay motivated. I am so sick of moving wood chips! LOL

      It is a lot of work in the beginning, but thereafter you have to do almost nothing. I stumbled upon the BTE movie. I had no intention to grow vegetables. Two years later I have 6 chickens and a thriving veggie garden. I am so grateful to Paul and have converted many friends to this way of gardening.

    Thanks for the new video. Love watching them so mutch.
    Can you ask Paul if you go there in june if he cuts the feathers on both wings off the chicken or just one. Here they say do one because they are not balanced anymore, but I'm not sure.
    And I have an other question: when Paul plants leek, does he make the woodchips higher around the leek to make de white part of the leek longer, does he plant it deeper or doesn't it mather to him how long the white part is. :)
    Thnkx

    Just heard for the first time he trims the wings on his chickens! no wonder they don't fly out. Can you ask him how often, and does he do both wings? THANK YOU for the vids...just love 'em!!

    Would this work if the chickens were moved instead of wheelbarrowing the compost around?

    I am wanting to get to where I feed my chickens solely from my garden. I am trying to get fruit trees to mature before then but I have a lot of extra planted this year( tomatoes, kale, cucumber etc) I just get nervous since I have been taught that you have to have commercial feed with its mineral blends etc.

      Look - what do you think birds eat usually? This is natural, and it's perfect and most healthy that way. I'm doing the same in my garden with 6 chickens.

    Your videos are amazing! I have watched them all. Do I remember Paul saying he eats raw eggs?

    • @meuhey
      @meuhey 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dads Mimi He don't but he give raw eggs to his dogs.

    • @L2Survive
      @L2Survive  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dads Mimi Paul uses raw eggs in the eggnog he drinks most mornings. He may have mentioned it before but, I cannot remember Paul ever talking about cooking eggs. I will have to ask him.

    Is there anything you can't give the chicken to eat? And how do you trim the wings?

    • @L2Survive
      @L2Survive  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      dsbatts2 I will ask. Look for the answer toward the end of the tour on June 7th.

    • @downbntout

      I trimmed the wings on my chickens with scissors. No need to trim living tissues or deep into the feathers' bases, just cut the feathers to half length.

    I have a question for anyone who can help.. I started a garden and put the wood chips on top as Paul stated and I have an immense amount of ants...little brown ants. Their everywhere. If I push some wood chips aside it's like I open up a school of ants..is this good or bad for my garden? And if bad how can I clear it up with out spraying chemicals? I just tried cinnamon to see what happens..

    • @L2Survive
      @L2Survive  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      josh barone Jack Spirko just had an ant question the other day on his podcast. From what I can gather, ants are good. The stuff they bring into the ant hill turns to mold and help create a fungus system underground that builds the soil. Eventually they will leave their ant hill and all of that goodness will be left behind.

    is there any trees close to pauls chicken yard? Does he has roots creeping in??

    • @L2Survive
      @L2Survive  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are trees in Paul's chicken pen. There is a fig tree and a willow tree in there and the forest is pretty close. I would say there are some roots around.
