Nha Trang improved popularity is easy to understand. The absence of tourists from two countries. I had visited before covid and didn't enjoy it mainly due to the arrogant, loud, abusive tourists that were its biggest customers. The way the locals were treated by them was appalling. Returned late last year and the difference without them was night and day.
Care to elaborate on the "loud, abusive tourist..."?
What countries were they from?
Haha, you don't have to answer, I think I already know.
I feel the same way you do. Nha Trang is much nicer post covid with the absence of the obnoxious tourists.
when there are no Russians and no Chinese .. any place is better.
The problem with many beaches in VN is plastic pollution. Been to Nha Trang many times and had to swim with plastic bags and bottles…for a beach holiday, better to go to Thailand
The local Phu Quoc beer was also the best beer in Vietnam 🍻
My friend from college their family owns a hotel on Phu Quoc. I visited it for the first time a few months back. It was like $25 a night as it was off season. The hotel was really nice. Less the. 2 kilometers from Dusit Princess Moonrise. 100% would go again.
It was a 5min walk to the beach. I would stay there again. The beach had so much trash in the water other than that it was really nice.
I didn’t find the pricing that much more. I did rent a bike through the hotel it got me around.
The main thing if you rent a bike watch the people filling up the gas they will rip you off quick and say “no speak eng” sorry. Plenty of yelp reviews about the terrible gas station I visited. I was out of gas with the scooter I got had 0 gas in it when it was brought to me so that was the other scam.
I had a great holiday in PQ but the litter and lack of good bars did spoil it
Bro you are painting a picture that isn’t realistic…first get your pronunciation right…it’s Phooo Wok..not Phooo Kwock…this is my 4th year living on this beautiful island…you simply don’t know where to go nor what to do here…20-30K Bahn Mi’s are everywhere…shipping goods to the island costs more because we obviously aren’t on the mainland…thus businesses need to pass some cost to the customers…garbage, that’s essentially everywhere in Vietnam…at least someone taught you how to pronounce “Nah Chang” properly!!! Just like America, stuff costs more in Hawaii because it’s a wait…ISLAND!!! Stick to Saigon content instead of spreading fake news…btw…many tourists here…especially Koreans right now
Someone’s salty. Did it hit a nerve that someone had bad feedback about your shitty island 😂🤡
Grand world was preety cool
Place is a rip off every where you go.
I should have waited for this video before booking our trip to Phu Quoc. We are staying at Seashells hotel in Phu Quoc mid-week of January, is this a good hotel, close to restaurants? Also, I have been to Vietnam 3 times this year from Saigon, up the coast hitting major cities to Hanoi on each trip and Nha Trang is best beach in our opinion.
You’ll be fine at Sea Shells…good location in the middle of the “big town” of Duong Dong. Walkable access to Tran Hung Dao (the Main Street) & the night market. They just opened a new bar at Sea Shells called Lai Bar
I found myself driving up the island way too much it’s a fking huge place is my only gripe about PQ lol
Phi Quoc is very hyped up and definitely gotten more expensive. First time there was amazing. I stayed at the Salinda resort and spa. Very reasonable.
Yep I think that place runs 200 a night now. I stayed there once too fantastic place
How is Côn Đảo
Flight ✈️ cost is a deal breaker... then the price gouging causing the issue
Went to PQ earlier this year...you are right pricing is out of whack and to me the bigger problem is the beach isn't great. I rented a scooter and checked every beach out...below average
Yep.
Was in PQ in May it’s a ghost town spoke to a restaurant owner they rely on holiday periods looks like ghost town to me
Was in Phu Quoc last October thought it was going to be more than what it was. Don't think I'll go again
To much plastic pollution in sea.
Dont waste time or money to return there
We’re going there this trip
Are you ready to go there Chris?
You went where? 😄
