Corey is one of the best players in Nashville, but he is also as good an instructor as he is a player because he cares about your progress as a player yourself. I have put a lot of money into guitar study and Corey has the best prices for the quality of classes. If you are a monthly subscriber you get it all and his monthly Zoom classes are very supportive.
Well there you go again….cementing (reinforcing) our triads & 7th knowledge and sprinkling simple slides and SUS ideas. I love your teaching style and delivery….very easy to put into practice! Thank you and AGAIN I say, you are an amazing teacher and human being!🎸🕺
No one offers better programs than Corey. Going through Corey's programs has put me on the path to becoming a good guitar player, his approach to teachings makes clear and understandable "Seemingly" complex (at least to beginners) musical ideas into direct simple approaches.
I’m hoping you can do a specific BB King Blues lead class with backing tracks and PDF’s for the guitarist to create their own BB King sound. That would be amazing. Love to see something that incorporates the styles used in The thrill is gone, Lucille and sweet little angel as an example. Something where you can play those songs and then play solos along with them or with the backing tracks. That would help me so much!!!!
Sounds so amazing. We saw BB and Bobby Bland with a full orchestra and vocal backups at a smallish venue back in 77. OMG, it was a night in heaven for us. Thanks Corey, really creative tasty sounding stuff.
This is so amazing. Inside the mind of an incredible rhythm guitar player. I loved every minute of this video. By the way, that suspended seventh chord sounded to me like a very Sting-esque move for a second
Great lesson Corey. I'd like to tell anyone who may read this that your "intermediate blues rhtym guitar" course was a door opener for me and I am now every day on "Blues Guitar by yourself", which is bringing me to another level (with a lot of hard work...): One of the best courses I ever found!
Hey Corey, I just wanted to say great job on this course! I recently finished going through it and it was a ton of fun…just an absolute gold mind of blues rhythm stuff to incorporate into my playing. I actually iked it so much, I went ahead and bought the blues by yourself course, which is awesome as well. Thanks again for all the hard work and all the great lessons you put out there!
Hi Corey, this is a similar chord progression to Christone Kingfish Ingram's version of Thrill Is Gone. Beautiful. I will probably watch this video again a few times more. Thank you, first class tutorial!
That's a really nice touch. This really reminds me of one of your jam tracks on True Fire. It's a good reminder to guitarists that there is so much more to rhythm guitar than meets the eye.
This is so great! I feel like a lot of the things I’ve learned over the years from you plus some new Corey magic all came together in this one lesson. Thank you sir! 🔥
Cheers Corey, just bought. Looking forward to this. I, like many others (I imagine), quickly move on past this stuff when we have the basics down and then wonder why we don't have the nuance/ sophistication in our playing that others do. Can't wait to get stuck in and plug that gap
Fantastic lesson. I've been working on your "Blues Guitar by Yourself" course where you use a similar approach - swapping/inserting chord voicings to flesh out an arrangement. As you point out, in a jam context you can use these approaches but you need to tastefully stay out of the way of the other players. Slightly different mindset. Thanks Corey!
so good. i mixed som seventh arpeggio lines with the pentatonics. couple of doublestops here and there and i was groooving ! but it wasnt bb no more,it was my blues
Hi Corey, great lesson. I am a VIP with you so I will check out the new course for sure. Thought I would add that I have played a F#7#9 on this song to nice effect.
Dear Corey, I really love this lesson, it is great for me because I was looking for learning this rhythm since long time. Thank you so much. I just would like to know which system you use to start and stop the backing track, as it seems to me that you just push a button when you need (there is a noise we hear ;). I usually use my phone or iPad, but your tool seems to be great. Many thanks in advance Corey :)
Per usual, this was awesome. I’ve been following this channel and your courses for years and it is all starting to sink in. I am currently working through rhythm ideas over a jam in the style of The Thrill Is Gone and this is so money. I have also been loving one of your prior tips of using major triads from the relative major key to get that sweet minor ninth sound. And can’t forget the harmonized thirds! As always, thank you Corey. YTM
Best quote I heard from BB regarding rhythm playing was someone was knocking him for not playing rhythm and he said I’ve got a 13 piece band, no cares about my rhythm playing but you.
Thanks! Sweet Home Chi, crosscut saw, further on up the road, messing with the kid, born under a bad sign, nobody knows you when you’re down and out, everyday I have the blues, stormy Monday, and Im Ready
Mahalo Corey, so awesome. Just listening to BB sing is so amazing, let a long that killer guitar. One question, If I was using a metronome, what BPM would I use?
Soooo fun! Corey, I'm a vocalist who plays guitar. Could your arrangements work for someone who wants to self accompany? I've been wanting this course since I came across your channel last year! Thank you for all your hard work!!!

Wholeheartedly agree! I have several of Corey’s Courses and am a member of Corey’s ‘Working class Guitar’.

My goodness, your bag of tricks is deep!! I love everything you have been putting up, and you’re my go-to for blues guitar! Thank you, sir 👊🏻🫵🏻🤙🏻
As always - so very much appreciated - something new to work on!!

Great lesson as usual Cory you’re a real eye-opener with the blues
Thank you so very much, becoming a VIP member is the best decision I’ve made in over thirty years of playing, blessings to all from me in the UK 🙏😌🙏
Wow, that is so great to hear! Thx and happy to help!

Wow thx for that! So glad you’ve enjoyed it!
For rhythm guitar instruction, Corey is the best. I’ve bought his blues course, and have improved quite a bit. I’ll get this course as well.
Thanks so much!
I feel like this stuff fell out of the sky. So cool. Thank you, Corey.

Thanks for showing the chord alternatives to this song. Sounds great and I'm going to learn them.
You're very welcome!
Merci votre post m’a permis de voir cette capsule, juste ce que je souhaite apprendre, superbe rythmique 👍😉❣️
Great lesson Corey. This will keep me out of trouble for a while.
Top notch rhythm lesson Cory. Many thanks. Will check out your course

Lots of great ideas and sound concepts coming out of that Congilio small studio over there near Nashville!! Thanks as always, CC!! Jim C.
Great intermediate level video! Most are either too basic or too advanced...this is just right for me! 👍

Enjoyed the Gmaj7 to F#7 ideas. Thanks

Great lesson. Corey, I have one question: I bought rhytym factory last year, so what you recommend me: Intermediate or Beginner blues rhythm? Thanks!
Per usual, this was awesome. I’ve been following this channel and your courses for years and it is all starting to sink in. Great Corey! Thx.
Killer lesson.
That’s a very hip Maj7 shape :) I’ll work on it :)
Best quote I heard from BB regarding rhythm playing was someone was knocking him for not playing rhythm and he said I’ve got a 13 piece band, no cares about my rhythm playing but you.
That’s great!
Hi Corey - Great lesson! In addition to "The Thrill is Gone", what are the other 9 songs the you cover in the course. Thanks.
Thanks! Sweet Home Chi, crosscut saw, further on up the road, messing with the kid, born under a bad sign, nobody knows you when you’re down and out, everyday I have the blues, stormy Monday, and Im Ready
@@coreycongilio Cool - I'm in!
@@gblot Awesome! Please enjoy!
Mahalo Corey, so awesome. Just listening to BB sing is so amazing, let a long that killer guitar. One question, If I was using a metronome, what BPM would I use?
I think we’re at 90bpm here. Thanks!!
thank you
My pleasure!
Spicy !
Soooo fun! Corey, I'm a vocalist who plays guitar. Could your arrangements work for someone who wants to self accompany? I've been wanting this course since I came across your channel last year! Thank you for all your hard work!!!
Many of them can work for acoustic as well!
@@coreycongilio Awesome! Can't wait to dive in!
Maestro🤓!
Tasteful Corey
Corey is just so damn good it should be illegal to be that tasty
If you watch Frank Zappa. He never sang, and played guitar at the same time. It was one or the other.
Nope….BB didn’t play rhythm….im not ether….
😂
Yes B.B. King didn't play rhythm, but we ain't B.B. King.
But he could play rhythm. He occasionally played chords early on.
no thanks...i shit on rhythm
Im just starting to play again after having not played for 20 years so this is awesome!.
Sweet! Hope it helps!
@@coreycongilio it definitely does I'm checking out more later today
I remember BB telling Bono that he doesn't know chords.
I found that fascinating. But BB had everything it took to be great.
He just was.
