19:01 In regular DRG, the Wave Cooker is the third sidearm option for Driller. It replaces his pistol. So yeah, medium weapon, not heavy. Also, as you said, definitely handheld. Or at least strapped to your arm somewhat.
Yeah it looks big in the icon here, but it is basically the size of a pistol, maybe just a bit larger. I could even see it being small rather than medium tbh, but its good as is
well, they did postponed the next season to mid 2024, and that should be a new weapon season if the follow the mold, but they also said that the delay had nothing to do with the size of the new content, and was due to the new game release (not survivor, the roguelike one that launches end 24 i think)
There is a very low likelihood that any of these new weapons will be coming to DRG any time soon, if ever. The DRG devs at GSG have said there are no new weapons coming in Season 5, and there probably won't be for a while, because it's a lot of work to design 12-24 new weapons each with 6-7 overclocks and a combined hundreds of frameworks and paintjobs, while also being unique, balanced, and fitting their respective class. Also, DRG: Survivor is made by Funday Games, not GSG, GSG is just publishing it and basically there to give Funday the okay on whether something does or doesn't fit the DRG universe. But the development teams are entirely separate, so if something is in DRG: Survivor but not DRG, that just means it possibly exists in the DRG universe, but will probably not come to DRG. Plus, the DRG: Survivor devs have said that GSG gave them a lot of freedom for new weapons, giving the okay on basically everything, and they were only hesitant about the overclock that makes turrets follow you (and even that got added). So with so much freedom, I don't think adding these things to DRG was on GSG's mind, just if it would fit in the overall universe. Additionally, GSG has said that Season 5 will be related to Rogue Core, not DRG: Survivor, in terms of lore and story, which is made by GSG and not Funday Games. All this points overwhelmingly to no, the weapons introduced in DRG: Survivor are not coming to DRG, and if they do it will be a while from now, probably Season 7 at the earliest (and GSG's current plans only go up to Season 6).
@@KingNedya That doesn't mean they won't be in Rouge Core though, that could be an opportunity to add a whole bunch of different weapons since it's a new game entirely, rather then something attached to Base DRG itself.
@@pyrosfolly5698 OP specified "DRG original", so my comment stands. I still don't think it's super likely that Rogue Core will have weapons from DRG: Survivor, because again, different development teams, but it's certainly far more likely than those weapons being added to the original DRG.
I thought they were though? One fires one set of four directions, the other fires at an offset... They're better when they're maxed, but I've found that having both is the best way to use them if you use them at all.

My so far silliest run was with scout and the dodge mod. Pair the starter weapon with the burst fire gun and get both to 18 and you’re golden. All around me are devastating bullets
I did a whole plasma build with the gunner and it was really fun. On the last stage and it was pretty tough but i hit lv 74 when i was done on thst stage
Sharpshooter class with the shotgun conversion of the sniper weapon is the only broken build in the game. The only build that makes Hazard 5 comfortably.
Would be a nice challenge if you could unlock a weapon as your starter weapon on a class by using the weapon and reaching max level on it in a run or something like that. Atm i dont even know if there is a max level tbh, but if there is no cap maybe a certain milestone point like level 25
Nice video buddy! Just a heads up, I really don't think crit applies to status effects. When you pick up more than one electric-related weapon, it starts offering you crit-chance specifically for electricity.
Lifetime can be strong but beams are usually better. Range is also strong on beam weapons. More beams on the flamethrower makes up for its slow movement. On the sludge pump, each beam does damage on top of the puddles so you get more hits with more of them. Lifetime makes them all last longer so you have less downtime and are more likely to get morehits or get better damage from the overclocks on the wave gun.
It does crit. Most people just don't notice because either the numbers are too low, their crit chance is too low to be reliable, or there are so many damage numbers it can be hard to read them.
Really liked what I saw so I bought the game... And immediately uninstalled. No key remapping? In 2024? I don't care if it's early access, that's ridiculous. I'm left handed, and it's not like we're that rare, or that key remapping is difficult to do.
Every game should have remapping, but I don't understand the left-handed argument. 95% of the gameplay is keyboard, so right-handed people are playing with their left hand. Even if you had a left-handed mouse, you're in the same boat as everyone else playing with your non-dominant hand.

The level 18 overclock for the flamethrower is really good. More beams.
He doesn't think the flamethrower is good because he takes 0% damage upgrades for it.
I personally like going with Sticky Fuels more, kind of a set it and forget it build but burning every bug is guaranteed while I stroll around
Piercing on most weapons is suprisingly good, its a must have for me on anything that can get it.
The Thunderhead and Leadburster in particular
I'm still amazed at how GOOD this bullet-heaven Deep Rock Galactic game is. High effort. Still early-access.
the only thing this game needs is what you said, run modifiers. Like start with this, only this type of weapon or have acces to all weapons
All these new weapons make me suspicious that a new update is coming to drg original
Would be great right?

Say it with me now...
XP
XP
XP
Even the upgrade icon says XP bro lol.
It's an abbreviation of EXPerience point bro. Both are valid.
I wish they offset the two spread guns, having both should have the pay off of maximum coverage

I found the same on my scout earlier.@@Necro2Mutou
@@Necro2Mutouthey are indeed offset. They make an 8 way pattern if you use them both, and I believe their spirals run counter to each other.

Crit does apply, there are universal, category, and individual offerings.

Does lifetime makes puddles last longer?
I prefer the heavy gunner, you can just camp in a corner and melt everything.
hey, can you maybe do a drone build run? now that you have firefly and the eletrical drone
they are bad, but maybe could be at least fun?
It seems odd, shouldn't the flame thrower kill those vines that are all throughout the level? Or are they made of rock?
My theory on armor is a little is enough and some is too much, better to pop the bugs before they can touch you😂
Is -60% move speed un-zippy enough for you? You will learn to respect the pickles.

It takes about 3 seconds to remap with other software too. If you're like me and it's important you have other options.
We actually are rather rare. That's why left handed mice are hard to find and standard setups usually favor right handed people.
