My dad and mom used to sing this at church with another couple . I miss those days when gospel music was the kind of music that made you want to jump for joy.
I've admired these guys since I was a child. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and they had the very best sound then, and nobody compares, even now. This is one of my favorite Inspirations songs.
This song brings back fond memories. My two young children and I used to sing this song and march around in our den while singing. We all watched the Inspirations sing it and I believe this is the same one we were watching on TV over 40 years ago. It sounds as good today as it did back then and gets me moving!
You should hear the version these guys did with The Primitive Quartet in Asheville, NC at their 40th Anniversary! Wow! Just, WOW! The version I refer to is on a 2-CD set. I purchased a copy at a recent Inspirations event.
At work, we have a wall built around our servers; and for fire code reasons, they are going to be torn down. I told the wonderful, Christian woman I work with that when they come to take them down, we should walk back and forth seven times and then shout. One of the guys that will be doing the work is a preacher, so we think he'll get a good laugh out of it. Whoever said being a Christian had to be dull and boring. Although we can laugh at the joke, it may open the door of someone asking about it and we can then be a witness to them.
Message to all from God: "If you thought the walls of Jericho coming down were impressive you best hold on to your horses! You ain't seen nothin' yet! My very own Run for the Roses is about to be upon you! All of you are cowards and infidels! Vengeance is MINE!"
Wow. I used to listen to them on my old 8-track. All my friends were listening to rock bands during those days and I was riding around in my old Chevy II Nova listening to the Inspirations, Dixie Echoes and other Southern Gospel Quartets.
i used to drive a 69 NOVA WITH an under-dash 8-track too all my 8 tracks were christian except for one SECULAR a BEATLES hards days nite PLUS a few sermons by JACK VAN IMPE .THAT 2-door NOVA and the BLUE FLAME SIX excellent tough efficient , SERVICEABLE engine.
I see you have 213 likes. My mom and dad used to listen to this song when I was a child. For some reason I got it in my head tonight. My dad died when I was 10, but my mom is 92 years old. Her address is 213, in the same house where I was born and raised. I like your video, but I am not going to be the one who "likes" it. My next video is going to be, "Oh What a Beautiful Morning". That is my mom's favorite song. She has full blown dementia, but is still as happy today as she was when she knew what was going on around her. I could only pray that everyone has a mom who is as kind and loving as mine.
@bpmrox Very inappropriate comment for this video!! This is not the place for politics. You're comment is also irrelevant as Trump wants to build a wall, not tear it down. Whatever you're smoking, took you to the 80's with Reagan.
@@redghost3170 I'll bet you're a REAL "professional" window cleaner. You know.....................one who licks the window & drinks the cleaner!!!! 😂🤣😂🤣

These guys sang some of the more uptempo songs of the era on point with precision.

Amen, Rood. Of course God has a sense of humor, just look around at this place, right? I hope the preacher enjoyed the joke.

The Inspirations were held back by a few things they need a manager/coach these guys were great but needed new ideas. My opinion😊
Please lyrics 🙏
