How much does one of those detergent pods cost?
You can also use vinegar to dissolve built up coffee stains or you can use 1 cup baking soda + boiling water as an effectively alternative. Both are inexpensive.

Each pod costs 0.09 cents (Kirkland dish detergent pods, 115 pods for $11.39)

Each step is a holy ritual and although simple takes a lot of time text and reverence. Boil water pour into coffee pot add 1/4 cup dishwasher soap wait 30 minutes. Rinse.

DId 1/4 liquid dishwasher detergent. Didn't get very much out. Definitely not like the picture shows. Still has stain on the bottom/walls.
