Good video! Many of my questions were answered. However, I would like to ask: I plan to buy the Stellar Plus plan. -Do I have to buy the SSL ($5.99) to see the "https" on the web address or is the SSL included with the Stellar Plan? - Will I be able to download WordPress without problems from the CPanel options? I saw that when you were choosing to install the URL, it showed you the HTTPS protocol without buying it from the extras. Thanks!
Thank you! The Stellar plan is a great choice. You don't have to buy the SSL with Namecheap's hosting plans. You get a free Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate for your site. You can download and install WordPress with no problems!
Hi, I'm just going through your video tutorials. I'm new to Namecheap and wasn't to start blogging. I have searched for and gotten my domain name but I am worried about how I can get the hosting name and WP so I can get started without much hassles.
I've looked into this and the promo code still works for new signups. The coupon code is for a domain name only for . com domains. The web hosting prices are discounted automatically.
Greetings! Yes, I help with website creation. If you visit my site WP Cupid Blog you can fill out the contact form with more details. You can also email me with the email address provided in the description of the video.
HELP! Your videos are amazing, thank you. However, i got stuck at 14;01, where it says getting started with starter template, with the option of choosing Elemento as the page builder. On mine, it's just 2 options, Ai website builder and Classic starter template. So going forward i have no option of using Elemento despite following your every step. I went and installed Elemento again separately but i still don't get the option. Please help.
Thank you! With some new updates in Elementor, that part has changed slightly. If you go to the Starter Templates where you pick out a template. In the top right, it should say AI website builder or Block Editor. Click from the dropdown and you should be able to choose Elementor. It will then load up the templates to use with Elementor.
Greetings! Try clearing the cache within WordPress and see if that works. You could also try refreshing the page to see if that works. Just make sure you Publish or save your changes first.
Greetings! If you go to Starter Templates where you pick out the themes again you'll see in the top right it might say WordPress Block Editor or Gutenberg. Change this to Elementor. Then select the theme again. You should then see the edit with Elementor showing. Another thing to try is clearing your cache. Sometimes this can be what is causing it as well.

Interesting, now let's assume that I uploaded, my CUSTOM THEME, 1. How do I upload ALL plugins at once ? 2. How do I cahnge the database ? (since i dont want to re-type all posts and pages created on my local env.)
Greetings! If you want to upload and activate multiple plugins at once in WordPress, you have a couple of options: 1. FTP Method: Use an FTP client like FileZilla to connect to your server. Navigate to the "wp-content/plugins" directory and upload all your plugin folders there. After uploading, go to your WordPress dashboard, and you should see the newly uploaded plugins listed in the "Plugins" section. Activate them as needed. 2. Bulk Plugin Installation: In your WordPress admin dashboard, go to "Plugins" > "Add New." On the "Add Plugins" page, you'll see an "Upload Plugin" button at the top. Click this button to upload a ZIP file containing all your plugins. WordPress will automatically extract and install the plugins. After that, you can activate them individually. If you want to change the database for your WordPress website without losing any posts and pages, you need to follow these steps carefully: 1. Backup Your Website: Before making any changes to your database, it's crucial to create a complete backup of your website, including both files and the database. You can use plugins like UpdraftPlus or manually back up your database using phpMyAdmin. 2. Export Your Local Database: If you have posts and pages created on your local environment that you want to transfer, export the local database using a tool like phpMyAdmin. Export it as a SQL file. 3. Import Database on the Live Site: On your live server, use phpMyAdmin to import the SQL file you exported from your local database. This will overwrite the existing database, so make sure you have a backup. 4. Update wp-config.php: In your WordPress root directory, open the "wp-config.php" file and update the database credentials to match the new database you've imported. 5. Permalinks: After changing the database, you might need to reset your permalinks. Go to "Settings" > "Permalinks" in your WordPress admin and click the "Save Changes" button to refresh the permalink structure. 6. Test Your Site: Thoroughly test your website to ensure everything is working correctly, including posts, pages, plugins, and themes.
I have purchased domain but not hosting on Namecheap. Currently not able to see Cpanel what's the solution do i have to buy Hosting also, Please answer it ASAP
I didn't realize purchasing the domain name and having it hosted were separate fees. Feeling kinda screwed here since I already got my domain through them.
Greetings! I'm sorry for any confusion. Domain names and web hosting services are separate fees. If you are in need of web hosting at a cheaper price than Namecheap offers let me know. I'd be happy to help provide you with a provider.
Appreciate the comment and awesome feedback! Namecheap shared hosting does come with a free domain name on select domain extensions. The domain extensions included currently are .fun, .host, .online, .site, .press, .store, .space, .pw, .tech, .website, .agency, .center, .digital, .live, .studio, .cloud, and .shop.
Greetings! There’s a chance your domain name is still propagating which could cause this. Usually doesn’t take to long. In the top search address bar when searching online if you type in your domain name with a /wp-admin after it for example mydemosite .com/wp-admin you’ll be taken to the WordPress login page to go to your WordPress dashboard. Let me know if this doesn’t let you login. Here to help!
Hi, you seem responsive enough. I’ll throw my comment in here too. If I’ve installed WordPress with https and all, just as you did, and my site isn’t published after a days time, what am I to do next?
Oh, and my SSL is pending. Like, I don’t remember activating it before or after installing WordPress but on the SSL list it says that my domain in pending.
Greetings! If you can't access your site. Try logging into WordPress and hover over Settings in the left-side menu. Click General. You'll see WordPress address URL and WordPress site address URL. If they both have HTTP change them to HTTPS. You'll then be logged out of WordPress. Log back in and everything should be good to go. Also, it could take some time at first for your domain to propagate upon a new sign-up. I've seen it be done very quickly though. Within an hour or two almost always. If this doesn't work let me know! Here to help.

Greetings! I've ran in to this a few times with various WordPress installs in the past. A workaround is you can choose the protocol as http and then change the https in the WordPress dashboard under Settings and then General. You want to change both URL's to https from http. It'll log you out and then you can log back in and it should then be secure with the free Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate provided by Namecheap. This message could be showing as the SSL from Namecheap might take a little bit to generate if the account is new. Usually the SSL is ready to go pretty quickly based on my experience.
Greetings! You want to choose https for the WordPress install under choose a protocol. Then, in the WordPress dashboard, if you go to Settings in the left-side menu and then click General. Find the Wordpress Address URL and Site Address URL fields. See if these are saying https. If not, change those to https. You'll then be logged out of WordPress. Just re-log back in and everything should be showing fine. Sometimes when you first sign up with Namecheap it can take a bit for the SSL to activate. This could also be what the problem is.
