The truck is sitting high as you don’t have the engine and trans installed. That’s about 1,500 lbs.
Adjust the bars after everything is installed.

Congrats, I hope she gets years of use out of it. I enjoy watching videos like this because for the last 3 years I've been restoring my 1981 Silverado that I bought from a buddy of mine when I was visiting my hometown of Lubbock back in 2017. He had parked it in a field for 4 years and the moment I saw it I just knew I had to rescue it and bring it back to all it's glory. I named it " Phoenix" for obvious reasons. Just about done with the restoration and I can say I did it all by myself.
I have to agree I love the cat eye bodystyle as well... also I've personally prefer those "suicide " style back doors. Not quite as long still plenty of room in the back and it seems to me easier getting larger items in the back. Also u don't have to walk around a door when dealing with a car seat.lol

I did the same with MEGA CABs, I bought my wife's first then I bought mine.Wife and I did the frame off on hers. Swapped in a BD diesel billet trans w/ triple disc converter, complete in-frame, s400, all the upgrades.. We just have wheels left to do she's been rolling around on 35" pro comps. #Truckcouplesgoals

Leather seats,center console swap, rain guards on all windows, tonneau cover, led upgrades inside and out, and the 07 style shifter would go great👍👍👍
I did the leather swap in my 2004 dmax! Wasnt able to get the heated seats to work but I was able to get both power seats to work
Same truck as mine. White cat eye ECSB. only mine is black interior. Same badging, cloth seats, floor shift TCase... look at the bushwhacked bed rail covers. Their stuff has been really bullet proof w me hauling wood.
My old truck was a 2006 1500 silverado LTZ. It had the leather seats. I drove it from 55k miles to 200k. Leather seats looked like dog shit when I traded it in for a 2006 Duramax. I made sure my duramax has cloth seats. I would like to add, I think the cloth is a lot more comfortable to sit on. Leather is easier to clean when kids spill stuff.
I love how your wife was talking about having to “jump” into your truck because it’s so tall, my fiancé says the same thing about my truck. You should look into getting some AMP power steps for your Chevy if they make them for that gen of truck, there awesome and makes it a lot easier to hop up in there! Love the videos man!

Nice, good foundation for a good and fun build. Leather seats.... cold in the winter, hot in the summer and must must condition and clean. Or they crack and wear in short order. Maybe a combination of cloth and leather reupholster... could be costly. But great foundation and half the fun is planning the build and looking past the present and seeing the results... very cool... spray on bed liner, some good products on the market for easy DIY. Don't know what you do fulltime. But you need to take the plunge and go full time hard core TH-cam. You have a great base and you could leap ahead quickly. Anyway, looking forward to seeing this build unfold.

Looking for fuel regulator relief valve on 2001 lb7 what’s the best ones to get and where
I would paint it black. Then you can rap it any color you want because you have a black base to go off of. Also you won't see white in the door jams if you rap it another color vs painting her truck black. The door jams are already black and won't stick out like a sore thumb like white will.

A white truck is hard to beat misses Earl . Just peel that decal off the driver side back panel lift it 12 inches and put some 20” chrome 8 spoke wheels with 37” by 12.5 open countries and get all the dents taken out and Earl will be jealous . And when Earl/ josh gets stuck agin you can pull him out without spinning a tire. Because he has mall tires on his truck. AKA low bro profile tire that are made for hydroplaning not mud👍
You need to call the truck ONYX if it's going to be black/pearlescent!
10:10 It has no weight in the front because the diesel engine is gone. If course the suspension is sprung.
dont forget since the engine is out the front will sit alot higher and look taller then when its done

I’m new to the channel brother, haven’t watched all the vids yet in case you mentioned it before but how do I make my lb7 turbo whistle like that without going too far off stock.
Unfortunately the only real way to make a lb7 whistle is to buy a Ryan’s Diesel Service 64mm turbo look them up! Also if you decide to buy one use my coupon code truckmaster it will save you some money
