I have XK 430 hardware but not going to rebuild as the EPS foam was too weak. I may buy this and put the 2S battery and ESC/brushless on this platform as EPP and hidden linkages are much better
I have the Trojan already and love it. Was thinking of buying the Rare Bear as an additional fun plane to fly. These little warbirds are so much fun. I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy additional propellers for the Trojan?
Hi, Would you mind telling me the number of teeth on the motor pinion and the number of teeth on the gearbox? Just curious if this is geared differently than the volantex/eachine models of about the same size with the same type of motor. Thanks,
Nice little plane . Good luck on the maiden . I just got mine a few days ago as well . And made a vid unboxing it too .Yes , shipping was delayed on theses , I like how they have the ailerons servo inside the wing . The Eachine props are the same size but prop saver is slightly different . They fit on the Eachine , but the Eachine prop saver won't adapt to the new XK one on the Rare Baer . If you find out differently please let me know . I'm still waiting for the XK hurricane and trojan to arrive .
I got a couple of these, but during set-up, like the P40, the rudder wouldn't centre until the throttle was cut. I fitted a Volantex p51 flight board into it instead, and all seemed ok on the bench. I test flew it, and forgot to try 6G mode, but in 3D mode, it turned upside-down straight after take-off! I gave up on it, and just flew a couple of other planes instead. I'll have to give it another try in 6G mode.
This was an excellent, detailed setup with nothing left out but the test flight (on anther video). Excellent video & audio quality. The details of features brings me fully up to speed and ready to assemble & fly when mine arrives. Hope it does not have the glitching you got in your initial flight. Could be why this release was a bit delayed. I really like the easy assembly for access to the internals, potential for part replacement, and protection of control rods from stiff grass on landings. I'm excited. Love your videos! - Jim
Thanks for this new vid! Looking good. Curious if you are more enjoying the smaller models or the larger ones? Personally what I love about these small models is I can take them to the park down the road for a quiet fly instead of having to drive to the field. Just love the convenience. Kinda wish there were better at flying manual as it feels a bit like cheating with the gyro, but it's all about fun & enjoyment in the end I guess.
Good question we are really enjoying these mini planes they do fly Good it was so hard to find a good mini plane 2 years when we started and its ezyer to find somewhere to fly like you say and good they bounce off the ground
@@blowy48flyrc You're right: another positive for these is the total lack of damage on crashing, I mean how good is that. Simply can't be done with any aircraft in the 1.1m scale. Because of that and because they are relatively inexpensive, they make for stress free flying.

You didn't include a link for the flysky receiver. Is that an AFHDS 2a? Wltoys/xk do sell an external one, but s-fshss based. Rather not use that. Like the rarebear more because it puts the electronics in easy reach inside and protects the servo more

When you give throttle elevator should not move at all...that seems defective to me..unless they programmed gyro to do that for some reason..thanks

The eachines in self level mode fly faster and smoother but the XK birds fly better in 3D mode
In cuality / price i think the xk omes win because eachines are 2 times more expensive and have not much more cuality
I sprayed my plane with gloss waterbased polyurethane and it looks good.

You can fit a 500mah battery in this plane, the batteries are available on a Amazon, another TH-cam creater Quadcopter 101 did that in his plane.
