    This is a tempting option honestly - the other alternative is a hyperdeck 4K per channel. lol.

    No hyperdecks were harmed, nor USED in this production 👍ISO for the win.

    I’ve always thought about doing this. Glad to see this workings IRL.

    Did exactly the same thing two weeks ago for a worship evening. Had 8 bmd cams, mixing them on a 4ME broadcast studio and iso recording on a SDI extreme ISO. Used companion triggers to mirror the cuts.

    Great tip! The ISO recordings are so useful, but the rackable units are nicer for cable management. Going to add an SDI version into the mix?

    Love it ! Had the same setup in mind the other day, one thing I haven't found a solution for : If you want the cameras to start to record internally in 4K as you would be able to trigger from the ISO record button how could you do that in a setup like that ? Send the program return feed from the ISO to the cameras ?

      If you had an sdi extreme iso and sent the return from that you should be able to do that?

    Can explain a little bit how to use blackmagic color grading panel in this system

    • @RyanSomerfield
      @RyanSomerfield  ปีที่แล้ว

      the micro panel can talk to the atem control software (if you have resolve installed the driver should install with that) then you can colour correct with the panel depending on which camera you have selected

      @RyanSomerfield is it possible to do a demonstration of it in video. I never seen something like that in TH-cam. I did my research and I didn't found anything about it.

    Is your Constellation set up for a HD workflow from Camera->Constellation->ExtremeISO? I have a similar setup with a 4ME 4K, but fed 12G ISO into Hyperdecks, and then took 3G monitor out of the Hyperdecks into an SDI Extreme ISO for HD backup

    • @RyanSomerfield
      @RyanSomerfield  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah nice! depending on what im doing, ive got an sdi extreme and hdmi extreme, if im doing 4k i go out sdi into a sdi to hdmi 12g which downconverts it for the extreme iso so thats an easy cheap fix for that one :)

    • @davidjoshuaford
      @davidjoshuaford ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RyanSomerfieldinteresting…. is that a 12G bidi, or a decimator?

    • @RyanSomerfield
      @RyanSomerfield  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidjoshuaford apparently the bidi can do it but I use the sdi to hdmi 12g micro converter and it definitely does it

    • @davidjoshuaford
      @davidjoshuaford ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RyanSomerfield good to know…I’d always thought of it as just HDMI to SDI conversion rather than downres

    • @RyanSomerfield
      @RyanSomerfield  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidjoshuaford its only the other way around, if you plug a 6 or 12g signal into a hd device it will downres for it.

    What's that control surface panel? Is it an old old atem panel?! Looks very old school!
