Mate you explained it perfectly, definitely a contender for a lap of Australia trip. Would’ve been awesome if we could test out he dynamic pro or enduro pro mode. I reckon the review was spot on 👌🏼✊🏽
It's an absolute machine. I had the opportunity to test ride the bike for 2 days and did a full review. I currently own a 1250 GS ADVENTURE and would definitely get this if I did not own the Rhino. The Metzler tyres on these bikes are epic. I wish I was there at the GS experience too .. unfortunately had to pass and stay away for a couple more months until my spine heals. Nice riding man. Good fun video! Keep up the good work!
I owned a 1250GSA and bought a 1300GS Trophy. Only to trade it in again after a week for a new 1250GSA. The 1300 is a great bike but it's not a GS anymore. It's a naked bike disguised as an allroad. Don't get me wrong, it is a great bike to ride. Fast, well planted on the road and very easy to handle. But it's by far not as comfortable as the 1250, nor is it a bike you get on and ride 1000+ kilometres on. Unless you're shorter than 1.80 perhaps.
Hey Jack, he still loves it! I actually took it for a spin recently and had a good time on it 👍 Mate, you are going to love it, it’s an absolute weapon 👌
I'm so jealous. We don't get to test ride them in Canada. Only way to try it is buy it and hope for the best 😯 But, based upon all the reviews, I think I picked a winner. Mine is due to arrive next week 👍
Man that really is a great bike. It was a hard decision for me to get the KTM 1290 SA-R over the previous GS1250A. The main thing I wanted was a more off road focused bike and that was the KTM. The 160HP played a roll too.
Testing the GS, as well as the S1000XR (and the Tracer 9 GT+) in a week. I won't do any off-roading, so my guts tell me that the S1000XR could be the better choice... but the GS looks like more confortable for longer ride and pretty close performance wise?
Depends if you want to do long road touring or not, I would say if you're mostly doing day rides, the S1K XR will be the better bike because of the extra performance and the cornering with the 17" front wheel however the comfort of the GS is unmatched (that's not to say that the XR is uncomfortable, it's actually very comfortable but the GS is just better). In saying that, the GS is still plenty powerful for the road and even has more torque down low so you can use more of that power on the road, so overall I'd say in a lot of cases the GS is the better all-rounder however if you want pure performance and to smash the twisties, then the XR is the choice.
Ha ha it’s got the same mirrors as my Chinese benelli lol. I’m glad you caught yourself, “horsepowers” ha ha. It’s a brand new bike, it might be easier to find neutral and idle better once it’s ran in a bit
I test rode this bike too. I couldn’t buy it as I’d have no license left within a month. Just too smooth and too fast to get the most enjoyment out of it.

Thanks heaps mate, was great meeting you and 100%, would have been awesome to try out those modes but even without them, I'm sold on the bike haha!

It sure is!
I feel like after the experience I have to own one hahaha!
Thanks heaps and I hope the recovery is going well!

Those Australian roads are epic.
We’re definitely lucky!
BMW has been perfecting the GS for over 40 years ;) Not the best any one thing but really good at everything!
It really is perfection haha 😂
Hi Josh hope your well and your dad is still loving my Dr650 , I just ordered the Gs1300 trophy have to fricken wait til October to get it
Hey Jack, he still loves it! I actually took it for a spin recently and had a good time on it 👍

Nice one bro, lucky getting to ride those weapons. Good wrap up 👌
Thanks heaps man!

You are one lucky Canadian, you will not be disappointed!! 👍
The electronic windscreen is a lot bigger and has deflectors. From other videos it seems to work extremely well.
Yeah, if I was going to get one, I’d be getting the model with it for sure

I reckon for the off-road focused rider, you can't beat the KTM 1290 for a big ADV bike!
@@AusMoto yup, that’s what I was lead to believe and it’s pretty accurate from what I have done with it. BMW is no slouch by any means.
They certainly have my interest. The Triple Black would be my choice for the round Australia trip.
They’re a brilliant bike!

And yeah, I reckon that's probably the case.
Sorry mate, but do you know the bike had 6 gears and not only 1 -3. If you going to over rev any bike in 1st, it will be hard😂
Yes you right. He used 2nd instead of 6th.... This bike has 149Nm. "I dont know any technical about this bike". Great It'll be very usefull. 😃
There was never a point in the test ride where I could really cruise, so that’s why I was mostly in 1-3rd.

Yeah that instant torque is quite intoxicating haha
Cutting the throttle with the quick shifter causes jerkiness.
Yeah, there were a few times where I did that but others when I was on throttle and still a bit jerky
🤦 "PromoSM"
?
