I will always picture the scene when Flayn talks about how she went fishing with her mother to Byleth and Seteth after their paralogue. This song, with the ocean waves in the background, really made that scene so sad.
The best thing about three houses by far is the characters. Never have I enjoyed a cast of characters as good as this and I hope that it continues to be like this. Every character was done so well, I feel attached to almost all of them. I love Sylvain the most, followed by Mercedes, and then Claude and Dimitri, but who am I kidding. I love them all. Lorenz, Hilda, Leonie, Petra, Dorothea, Ingrid, Felix, Ferdinand, Linhardt, and so many others.
I believe Three Houses made the companions in this game far better. By limiting the amount you get unless you actively push to recruit all the possible options; you have more time to develop with the characters. Rather than just their support conversations but actively working with them in and outside the game. You become more attached to them and feel them vital to the story. Mercedes for example has a huge influence with her ties to Death Knight. Very few other Fire Emblem Games had given this much love to the other cast members beyond the "important few".

This theme reminds me of how much I fell in love with Dimitri and his arc on my first playthrough. In the beginning I didn’t think about Byleth S-supporting him at all. And then the timeskip/A-support happened and my heart broke. I’m so happy this played during their S-support scene. Go Blue Lions!
I can not believe that Dimitri gets his own song if you S-Rank with him. I truly love it. It makes perfect sense with the chemistry he and byleth has with or without the romance.

After beating all the routes and sinking over 200 hours in to this game I’ve come to realize that this song crescendos my experience. For me personally I got pretty attached to the characters, and hearing this song while diving into the support chains left me feeling Complete and satisfied. Hell I’ll probably go into my 5th route doing blue lions again. Going back to we’re it all started, as if I found somewhere I belonged... Lmao sorry that got sad don’t forget to S rank Dimitri y’all it’s worth it!
Dimitri's whole story is like a complete support which makes completely obsessive connection to this game and makes a player who love sad and romantic stories to crave for playing it every single day and night restlessly...that's what many games should be like but sadly I don't know any other game with such amazing story and sense of attachment like this one Dimitri's story

I would've associated this song with Rhea, but something makes me want to associate it with Dimitri seeing as when you do his path, he was looking for "somewhere to belong." Seeing a once broken man desperately trying to avenge his loved ones absolutely broke me, but if it wasn't for Rodrigue to snap him back into reality and Byleth stopping him from being reckless, he would have found his place which is in the kingdom with his allies by his side. That's why he finally found somewhere to belong which has his companions, friends and most of all, his professor coming from his point of view.
