iCarsoft FR V3.0 - Should You Buy It?

Is the iCarsoft FR V3.0 any good on a RENAULT? Just a basic run through of the screens, features and functions of the iCarsoft FR v3.0 on a Renault Clio.

I used the POS V3.0 to 'Check the Basic Setting of the Parking Brake'. My 2013 Cayenne 958 went into "Emergency Brake Service Mode". The e-brake was now inoperable. The POS V3.0 would not allow me to go into calibration mode. The error message said "Request Rejected". Also, it would not allow me to go into the 'Grinding In' mode. The error message said. "Ceramic Brakes or Incorrect Coding". After checking for updates (I had to buy a $250 PC to check for updates because it is not compatible with Mac products) and contacting iCarsoft for help, ( They responded to my request for help, but have offered no solution) I had to take it to the Porsche dealer that charged $400 to calibrate the parking brake and take it out of service mode.

I can well beleive that. I had the iCarsoft CR Max and recently got rid of it because it was generating fault codes every time I plugged it into a vehicle. Same vehicle with a different scan tool was perfectly fine. Steer clear and buy something else is my advice, I wouldnt trust them on my vehicles.
