they literally exploit human psychology. they did testing that found people play longer if they do good then bad cause people want to prove to themselves they're good so it'll intentionally put you with people your level, sometimes easier to make you think you're good then put you in a hard lobby so it messes with your head. it's called engagement optimized matchmaking and that's why cod tracks EVERYTHING down to percent of the game you're moving on average. you could request these stats off activision support for like the last month. it tracks if you get off after say 3 losses or 3 wins. every single game since vanguard i think. this isn't a game anymore, it's far worse. stop playing
Wish it was just that, there are some evidence that they open players cameras and use AI to analyze thier emotions during games and they also use players computers to play as bots and AI to study the player gameplay and start playing like him/her as bot.

I *don't* doubt there must be _something_ about this formula. For context, I'm 33 and dropped COD after Ghost, for no particular reason. Came back for a bit in 2019 for MW (loved it) but dropped out again after it. Came back only about 1 month ago, again for no reason, and now I'm hooked on the multiplayer modes. I ended up completing MW 2019 again, Cold War (MP and zombies), and now I'm playing MW2 2022 Every day after work I play a round of two. It's just, fun. And not even a 'good' player, barely average. Like, this whole SBMM and whatnot, completely goes over my head. Edit: This was a wonderful video, dude. Great work 👍.
I have been in AA for 15 years. This is the first time I have heard of people being addictive to fun. If you lose your job friends and family over a game, I would say you have a problem. If it's just playing with mates for fun, go ahead and enjoy. Cod helped me stop drinking and reconnect with my mates.
Hell yeah man. Cod (especially the older ones, but the newer ones aren’t too terrible) has always been a really good game to get into really quick and play a couple matches to distract yourself from anything going on around you. I know it’s been helping me a shit ton right now with my mental state. Congrats on your sobriety! Good job on deciding to turn your life around. I know it’s a hard thing to do, so you’re a pretty strong person to actually go through with it.
@SerialSleeper30 thank you. And I hope you find your way too. It's a hard road. I find that the game really doesn't matter. it's more about the memories you make playing with your mate's.
Wow. The acurateness of this video is mind blowing. We even find ourselves in front of the mirror questioning things like “did I invest all of this time just to quit?” “Is this how this chapter of my life really how it ends?” Or even “Am I going to be as good at something new just like I was at CoD? If yes, is it gonna take me all this time? Troy, I know you just from this video and I literally felt touched with every single explanation, not only from the reality, but also remembering the step backs and forwards. We got addicted to the feeling of hoping that we will also get a good functioning, fascinating and interesting well developed game. Which, it hasn't been like that since 2007-2017 (I leave that 10y gap because it's pretty subjective the opinions of our community) As a 23 yo who's been playing almost 15 years, I started to see this and have this feeling a couple of months ago “Do I still need to put my time in something not even they care?” After questioning myself I realized that I have a lot more to do and create outside this “gaming world” to the point of choosing those incredible aspects of life we take for granted “family, studies, friends and new experiences”. Truly an amazing piece of content Troy. You nailed every topic completely!

I just love the gamefeel, no other games tickles your brain with that feedback for every action you make lmao like titanfall when you call your titan, or the animation of replacing a battery etc lol
I've noticed patterns that screamed "RIGGED" back in 2019, back when no one knew how and why it works and no one would believe me either. I left cod for good that year, after loving it for 10 years..
I think this is how most FPS/Arcade games are for people, you get addicted for a little while, have a ton of fun with friends camo grinding etc, then it loses its edge you’ve done it enough and like most other games you’ll move on. We all have those 2-3 games that we love no matter what and will always play and never get old, but you will go through this cycle with most games lmfao
@@Sd4L234 Yeah I cycle in and out of CoD every couple years to keep it fresh, MW3 and BO6 are my first two since Advanced Warfare, and let me tell you, nothing has really changed, COD has been going this way since Bo2
@@Sd4L234 I will say though it does keep the game fresh and exciting so everytime I do play I have a ton of fun, I’ll probably skip the next 2-3 years of call of duty games and play other stuff and when a good one I know I’ll like comes out I’ll cop that, Bo4 and Cold War where total flops but I’m happy with Bo6 so far and the Omni movement makes it feel so much better, honestly in love with it as someone who prefers to tryhard when they play video games thanks to years of counter strike the SBMM isn’t even a problem for me lmfao.
Really appreciate it bro. Just checked out your music and subbed. You do paid songs by chance? Looking for a 30 second song for my stream if you're interested!
My addiction these days usually lasts about 6 matches at a time. Start the game. Play first 2 matches like I'm in bot lobbies and should have my own YT channel with K/Ds of 2.5+. Get humbled a bit the next 2 matches and do good to be above a 1.0 K/D. Next 2 matches I usually rage quit because I'm already 2-12 before I can even get out of my spawn. Rinse & repeat.
I still remember my first game of COD WW2 that a friend borrowed me in 2020. Bought BOCW a few months after lmao. My TH-cam feed was filled with "How to aim better in call of duty"
haha similar story to you. Played MW2 at a friends house and started going over daily to play. Didn't end up getting my first copy of the game for myself until black ops 1 came out. Good times
@TroyBob5 The newer fighting games are much more accessible. We didn't even have tutorials back in the day. Just grinding and playing against other people
Ive been in Level 7 since BO4. At this point i think im in Level 8 which is gas lighting myself into believing that next year will be the year it comes back to what i remember and love from the BO2/MW3 days.
BO1-BO3 are my favorites too. I actually really like BO6, it's just the servers/cheaters have made the game horrible. The game itself and the mechanics are great
You remind me of a comedian, or some funny skit from way back. It's on the tip of my brain but I just can't remember who, I'll think of it someday. Well anyway good video and they should have never come out with COD every year because instead of leaving a good memory in our minds, it's leaving a bad memory because we are playing too dang much.
Went to valorant about 2 months ago after reaching step 7, it’s fun but just not the same. Boredom took over so tonight I solo queued into a 3v6 spawn trap on nuketown vs a level 400 prestige master just to lose and barely keep my 1 K/D…PAIN sums this game up perfectly
Yep all points valid as a new player I think COD gamers ask questions similar to "CAN IT RUN CRYSIS", but they should all be really asking their brain "CAN IT COD" before they commit to level 3 of COD addiction.
It’s sad how true this video is 😂. From starting on console going 2-42. To now owning a 2k dollar pc looking to loading it up every night to get pissed with friends lol.
The first one I really played was MW2 at a friends house after school every day. First one I owned was BO1, and I'll never forget how much fun I had on that game
I leveled up 2 levels in 5 games, dropped the game,2 months later I hopped on and it was a double xp,started sweating since, but never changed my controllers and never saw a video,I learned it myself
Holy shit this is a good video. So true and well said. I had to quit because I realized that I was being exploited. When I was getting hard-stuck Plat 3 in CDL Ranked each season & couldn’t get out no matter how long I played. Sure, call it a skill issue, but let’s be real. The game knew I was chasing Diamond so hard. It knew that the longer I played, and the slow progress I made, the more I’d come back thinking “I’ll get it today”… but that day never came. I had to wake up and realize that I am being exploited.
Thanks for watching man and glad you enjoyed the video. Definitely sucks that it feels like the game is playing you rather than you playing it these days lol I really hope they turn it around or maybe some new games will enter the space that give us what we've been asking for
I quit around stage 3-4... and replaced my COD addiction with an Escape From Tarkov addiction. Whether this is somehow healthier for my sanity and overall mental state is a debatable topic.
I lost my Internet years ago. Last multiplayer! game is advanced warfare. Haven't bought or played it since. Now I just watch others play. I will get the old ones again. Soon I got the series x
Never had to beg my mother to buy me a game, was already an adult when it first came out 🤷🏼♂️ Great video though. I’ve stopped playing it this week to be honest, had enough of all these bugs and crashes!
level 7 is scarily accurate... im trying to quit the game man i swear, ive switch to the older cods which i dont think is helping anything but i mean different game right?
I got caught in phase 5 and dropped cod. I hit crimson in ranked. The only thing left was for me to put in 40 hours weekly which is required for iridescent
I got my first taste of call of duty on call of duty 2. Back when I did not even have a decent pc to run cod. I explored , cherished every cod until I realized that multiplayer gaming is gonna hurt your mental health and can make you real sick. Thats why I now play singleplayer games only where I dont go raging, screaming to bullshit, meaningless things happening in the game and absolutely slamming my controller or keyboard and mouse. Multiplayer gaming is so toxic and competitive and most people use unfair means to play call of duty. You don't even realize that a lot of people you are dying are using some kind of undetectable hacks and you think you got destroyed by a demon or a sweat. Its funny how people don't want to give up on call of duty. They keep whining about cod and still end of buying the latest cod where the matchmaking is manipulated by activision. Buy a bundle from the store and get better hit reg, easier lobbies, better connection. Its a trap and most people don't know how to get out of it. I am happy you highlighted this through your video. So 1 like and sub for you my man
I literally stopped playing call of duty for years when I realized what black ops 2 was turning the franchise into and I was right lmaooo. I got back into cod with the 2019 MW but I didn’t get MW ‘19 till 2021. moral of the story is….yes you can stop playing games you no longer like! I’ve never played BO3, AW, IW, Vanguard, and WW2 😊
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video. Every comment, like, and sub goes a really long way. What level are you? (I unfortunately am very deep into level 7)

I bought cod/cod:uo/cod2/cod 4 😊
Wow dude this is literally the most accurate description of a players relationship to the modern CODs
appreciate you taking the time to watch man, thank you!
This is a well done piece. You’re going to blow up soon. Cheers 🎉
Always appreciate your comments Patrick. Going to keep chipping away one video at a time 💪
You didn’t have to say my name for 12 minutes straight
this vid is a lil too accurate 😭🙏🏽
this video was like my own personal therapy session 😭 we're in this together lmao
Tickled your pickle in ways that it hasn’t been before😂😂
Went to valorant about 2 months ago after reaching step 7, it’s fun but just not the same. Boredom took over so tonight I solo queued into a 3v6 spawn trap on nuketown vs a level 400 prestige master just to lose and barely keep my 1 K/D…PAIN sums this game up perfectly
This video is hilarious how accurate it is I’m over here dying laughing 😂
appreciate you and really glad you enjoyed the video🙏
Im at stage 3 of cod. Great video !
Yep all points valid as a new player I think COD gamers ask questions similar to "CAN IT RUN CRYSIS", but they should all be really asking their brain "CAN IT COD" before they commit to level 3 of COD addiction.
Warzone 4 made me enter stage 7. Used to play cod every single day for multiple hours and now I don’t play it at all anymore
It’s sad how true this video is 😂. From starting on console going 2-42. To now owning a 2k dollar pc looking to loading it up every night to get pissed with friends lol.
Frighteningly accurate. Very good video bro!!
glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for watching!
my first cod was mw3 and bo2. miss those days man
The first one I really played was MW2 at a friends house after school every day. First one I owned was BO1, and I'll never forget how much fun I had on that game
I leveled up 2 levels in 5 games, dropped the game,2 months later I hopped on and it was a double xp,started sweating since, but never changed my controllers and never saw a video,I learned it myself
I love call of duty
This also applies to Destiny 2. At Step 7, you uninstall, and wait a few weeks before reinstalling
Definitely sucks that it feels like the game is playing you rather than you playing it these days lol I really hope they turn it around or maybe some new games will enter the space that give us what we've been asking for
Subscribed.
This is some high-quality stuff!
Welcome to the channel!
Cod is like drinking and smoking. If my friends stopped doing it, I probably would never do it.
keep making videos in this format and you will blow up. great content, maybe do a similar concept with a different game ?
you know me so well
Sounds about right, anytime I hear someone talk about getting into it I tell them not to because it’s an addiction..
I would like to call this the one month new cod player phase (anyone who joined cod prior to mw19)
I quit around stage 3-4... and replaced my COD addiction with an Escape From Tarkov addiction. Whether this is somehow healthier for my sanity and overall mental state is a debatable topic.
The bot has become self aware.
Hey he's on the frigging activision take!! He knows they are gonna break 137 things next season!! Who told you!?!?!
Brilliantly accurate 😂👏🏼
thank you for watching!
This guy just read ALL my plays
I lost my Internet years ago. Last multiplayer! game is advanced warfare. Haven't bought or played it since. Now I just watch others play. I will get the old ones again. Soon I got the series x
Awesome video. So funny and true.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This feels like a big video. I was surprised to only see it had 100 views.
Keep it up, man. I’m sure you’ll hit the jackpot sooner than you think.
Really appreciate that man, and welcome to the channel!
I been clean 4 years now. But I heard they bringing Verdansk back... i gettin itchy
Never had to beg my mother to buy me a game, was already an adult when it first came out 🤷🏼♂️
Great video though. I’ve stopped playing it this week to be honest, had enough of all these bugs and crashes!
I was 22 when call of duty came out 😂
Stopped playing after cod 4 tho.
level 7 is scarily accurate... im trying to quit the game man i swear, ive switch to the older cods which i dont think is helping anything but i mean different game right?
@@Kewton hahaha I think that’s progress. A lot of the older games were just much better products in general so I think it counts
I was level 4 and got a third baby then I had to stop and sell the set … I’m so much healthier now
I got caught in phase 5 and dropped cod. I hit crimson in ranked. The only thing left was for me to put in 40 hours weekly which is required for iridescent
Great video, awsome quality and delivery you need to expand to other games.
thanks for watching man, I appreciate it
I completed the cycle in 2 and 1/2 years, quit the game 3 weeks ago and now i just play marvel rivals
So 1 like and sub for you my man
You’re going to have a million subs one day your content is very well done bro props to you 💯
@@HimmyHendrixx really appreciate the kind words brother, it means more than you know 💪
Bro just described me perfectly.. currently on level 5
we're waiting for you at level 7
Nah where it says when cod is more realistic at 9:51
I literally stopped playing call of duty for years when I realized what black ops 2 was turning the franchise into and I was right lmaooo. I got back into cod with the 2019 MW but I didn’t get MW ‘19 till 2021. moral of the story is….yes you can stop playing games you no longer like! I’ve never played BO3, AW, IW, Vanguard, and WW2 😊
After 10years of COD without pause and Dark Souls / Souls Like i turned into a submisive Femboy and my Friends too
Well Said
