There are a number of Disney songs that your daughter will enjoy - Little Mermaid and Moana being two... if you're good with it, would love to see your daughter do a joint reaction with you.
yes voiceplay has some great songs and great singing, they are very good at disney songs like Aurora said. Check them out, and let her watch the ones you like.
Did you know that in that movie, Louis Armstrong was supposed to voice Baloo? There was a scheduling conflict causing them to recast and Phil Harris took the role (and I think we can all agree he did a wonderful job). Louis Armstrong was sad that he didn't do the role and decided to at least to a cover of 'Bear Necessities.'....SO yeah, Louis Armstrong did a cover of Bear Necessities'. That's my point.
I'm loving your dive into Voiceplay. Ashley Diane is fantastic in If I Were A Rich Man and it is one of my favorite arrangements by VP ever. Highly recommend!
I love all the stink-eye that Geoff gets from the rest of the group when he finishes off Isabela's solo! There's a story behind all that. Ashley ordered two blouses, 1 larger, because she wasn't sure which size would fit. When she got them, she got the wicked idea of having Geoff use the larger blouse (and also another set of shorts she was wearing) to also portray Isabela, as the character he's portraying throughout most of the video is the shape-changer. Somehow she managed to talk Geoff into it - and he really let loose his Disney Princess in doing it! While Geoff apparently did a pretty good little-girl-scream when they filmed the rat-on-shoulder scene, Layne (who arranged and directed the video) decided to add the "goat scream" in post-production as being a little more iconic.
I am in our shoes right now. Being 69 I have never heard this song before, and after listening to it I still have no idea about why they don't talk about Bruno or who Bruno is.
I know everyone will suggest their Moana and Little Mermaid medleys so I will add Geoff Castellucci has done a solo cover Bear Necessities from the Jungle Book. Also Voiceplay has an incredible medley from Wicked.
You got to watch the Little Mermaid Medley that Voiceplay covered! Geoff's range in that song will blow you away for sure, and the whole groups incredible!
Welcome to Voiceplay. They are true artists who have been together for literal decades. There have been some personnel changes over the years, but the beatboxer (Layne) and the bass (Geoff) have been singing together since middle school, The bald gentleman is named Eli (pronounced to rhyme with jelly) He has been with them for at least ten years (although I am not sure exactly when he and the others hooked up). There have been two other fellows who you will see in some of their older videos J. None and Earle who left the group amicably as well as Scott Porter who has since become an actor. (Friday Night Lights) he is in their HALO theme video. J None is currently serving in the USN and returns occasionally when his schedule allows. Earle sadly left for health reasons but remains close friends with the group. The final young man is the newest permanent member, and his name is Ceasar De La Rosa. PLEASE do continue down the glorious rabbit hole that leads to the wonderland of my favorite acapella group. They have strong past ties to the theme parks in Orlando and much of their earlier stuff should be familiar to you and your daughter. Lately they have been showcasing other types of music like classic rock and even Classical instrumental pieces. (Which is AMAZING!). They have featured many artists since Earle and J None left and all of them are magnificent so feel free to indulge in any of their offerings. I promise you won't be sorry. Also while there IS some mixing and doubletracking for the video's on some songs I have seen and heard them live and they are JUST this good with nothing but microphones. enjoy,
One of my favorite VoicePlay songs is an old one: "I'm a Surviver: Zombies vs Hillbillies". VoicePlay is dressed as zombies and Home Free is dressed as hillbillies in a "battle of the bands" style video that shows off the talents of both groups.
I have no idea who this group is but this is by far my favorite reaction video you've done. Love seeing how animated you got with this song and how excited you are to share with your daughter. Had a smile throughout your entire reaction.
They also do a Frozen 2 Medley and a lot of individual Disney songs. This one, though is special. Disney hired them to sing it at a corporate event, closed to the public, unfortunately. I will always be here for Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci!
I agree with everyone. I haven't seen ALL their videos, but The Little Mermaid and Moana medleys are great. They make super productions of everything they put online. They also do some from A Nightmare Before Christmas. My two favorites (out of many) are their take on sea shantys, Hoist the Colours, and a video game, The Dragonborn Comes. It's like watching mini-movies.
Layne (beatboxer) arranged this, which also means he was in charge of set design and costuming. He ordered two sets of the blouse and pink shorts from the costume rental place, in two different sizes, to make sure they had a good fit. Turns out Geoff wears one size larger than Ashley. I've heard it was his idea for the costume change, since he's playing the shape shifter. However it came about, Ashley posted pics from this shoot on her IG, including a clip of her and Geoff dancing side by side, dressed in matching blouse and shorts. Your daughter would get a kick out of it, as well as other Disney covers VP has done. Little Mermaid is my favorite (Geoff as Ursula!) but they're all good.
Great reaction!! I have to think you've listened to this a dozen times since the reaction... and you keep picking up new little tidbits each time. Am I right??? (Liked and subscribed!)
If your daughter loves Dolores so much, then you might also like the cover of this song performed by BYU Vocal Point, featuring Adassa -- the voice actress behind Dolores ;-)
Another group that is unbelievable with Disney is Voctave. They are probably the best vocal ensemble out there (with 11 members, they're not exactly like Pentatonix, VoicePlay and Home Free). Their Disney Princess Medley and Disney Love Medley are two that I'm sure you and your daughter will love! (even if you don't react to them)
love Voice Play.. and your reaction.. if you haven't checked them out, a couple of my other favs from them are a little mermaid melody, and oogy boogy from Nightmare Before Christmas.. also.. you have a very nice singing voice!
You need to introduce your daughter to Voctave - Disney Princess Medley. They are an acapella group and so very good. You should check them out. And thanks for your reactions. I truly enjoy them - and your attitude. I just recently found your channel and am investigating all that you've done. Since you like Pentatonix, Home Free, and Voiceplay, you will probably enjoy Voctave as much. Thanks...
Your confusion about the characters name is perfectly understandable. You should avoid driving or operating heavy machinery whild reviewing a Voiceplay video
I love Voiceplay they always crush it. Oh a side note if you want a bit of a different version of Surface Pressure this th-cam.com/video/YOR2wqisJqQ/w-d-xo.html is an amazing rock cover I think you would love

Geoff playing Ursula is just brilliant.

yea i heard stories before about Ashley talking him into a "costume change" in the video.
Ms Britt keep that girl in mind she sings with thie group alot, and she can sang. Thank u beautiful lady...your daughter will love it✌
I am in our shoes right now. Being 69 I have never heard this song before, and after listening to it I still have no idea about why they don't talk about Bruno or who Bruno is.
Disney liked their version so well, they had them perform it at a private function!
I know everyone will suggest their Moana and Little Mermaid medleys so I will add Geoff Castellucci has done a solo cover Bear Necessities from the Jungle Book. Also Voiceplay has an incredible medley from Wicked.
They also did the vultures song from the jungle book. It’s really short and Geoff is Dhere Kahn wearing a tiger onesie.🐯
Voiceplay and Disney, a combo akin to bread and butter 🙂
You got to watch the Little Mermaid Medley that Voiceplay covered! Geoff's range in that song will blow you away for sure, and the whole groups incredible!
I think you and your daughter will also enjoy Oggy Bougie by Voiceplay.
I lovethis group, but I hadn't seen this yet. This was absolute FUEGO🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!! Thank you for sharing❤🤘😎
Looking forward to seeing your reaction to more of their videos. My favorite Acapella group

They did Phantom of the Opera with Rachel Potter...it is breathetaking!
Thank you for another priceless reaction to Voice Play. It is always a pleasure just watching your reactions. This is better than the original.
They also do a Frozen 2 Medley and a lot of individual Disney songs. This one, though is special. Disney hired them to sing it at a corporate event, closed to the public, unfortunately. I will always be here for Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci!

Love the bit where Geoff portrays Carlito the Shape-Shifter!

Should check out Oogie Boogie’s Theme by Voiceplay. It’s probably their most viral song.
Thanks for a fun reaction!
From what I understand, if you listen to both of the versions of this song through headphones Voiceplays mix is actually better than Disney's
If your daughter loves Dolores so much, then you might also like the cover of this song performed by BYU Vocal Point, featuring Adassa -- the voice actress behind Dolores ;-)
Britt can sing y’all! We are catching those!
I love how much you love this. 💗💗💗

i suggest you to listen "HOIST THE COLOR" from Caribbean Pirate's movie
As awesome as Voiceplay is, can I just say that your voice is amazing as well when you sang along. You've earned a new sub!
Yes. that is the Rat. Layne borrowed it from his daughter Doris.
love Voice Play.. and your reaction.. if you haven't checked them out, a couple of my other favs from them are a little mermaid melody, and oogy boogy from Nightmare Before Christmas.. also.. you have a very nice singing voice!
Got a tickle in your ear for a bit of VP? It doesnt go away easy. Ear candy even while sleeping. Welcome to the family🤪🥳😝🤩🤩🥰🖖
You should record your daughters reaction!
You should check out If I Were A Rich Man/ Girl, by Voiceplay. You will enjoy. And the runs, OMG.
💜
Since we're on the Encanto theme, please react to Surface Pressure!
beautiful, sexy, funny, can sing, silky voice.... and Voiceplay isn't bad either.
Alex Boye' made a cover of this song with some alternate lyrics. You might like it.
If you’re a Stranger Things fan you should check out their cover of “Running Up That Hill”
May I suggest The Wicked Medley by Voiceplay!!!!
It was awesome, wasn't it?!
Do their little mermaid.
Try "Hoist the colours" from Pirates of the Caribbean

Can I tell you, when I first heard of this song, I thought it was about Bruno Mars? 😂
👍🎶
Do a reaction of this again with your daughter.
What is “In Con Toe”??
New sub here 😊 enjoyed your awesome reaction too 🫶
This was a nice surprise. Love Encanto but maybe not as much as you.
