- Drawing on black paper can achieve some really striking results with only a few materials. In this tutorial I'm using Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils to draw a dog portrait. I'm using 5 colours but you could even just use black and white.

Are you using pastel sanded paper? If not, I don't see how the pastel will stay on the paper too well.
What kind of black paper are you using
How on earth do you get that point on your pastel pencils?
I love my Pitt Pastel pencils but ugh the sharpening ☹️ When oh when will somebody invent a pastel pencil sharpeners that works?!
