Young lady you getting me in so much trouble. I just started watching your videos. I normally make jewelry and some of the ideas you’ve shown will work for my pieces. After seeing this I want to make some coasters too. And now I need to buy the foil. Thanks for introducing me this technique.
These are basically nail foils. They only stick where the glue is applied. It'd be beautiful to see you use some kind of stencil to place the glue & whatever the stencil is is what will be left (like hearts or words etc) & you'd see the beautiful background everywhere else.
What do I think? I think that these are very pretty, & definitely sellable! ....and now I need to buy me some coaster molds! Sheeeeish! Lol! I love all of your experimental videos, by the way, so thank you for that!
You could take this to another level by doing a clear pour over the first foil rub, let it dry and then transfer a lighter foil layer to get a whole other dimension. These are amazing 😍
I'm so excited that you tested this. I watch RK3 and her work is beautiful. Is so nice to see someone do it on a smaller scale. Thank you so much for being our guinea pig!😂😂 They came out beautiful 🙂
I came across your channel, i don't do resin, but my daughter does, so I watched this video I didn't think that they would turn out so well at first, but then you added the gold trimming, and it made a world of difference love them❤
I really like this! I used all kinds of found items in my art. The fruit bags are awesome--and there's so many kinds of them. Used tea bags are also good. I made a quick, cheap gift bag out of a Lowe's Foods brown deli bag that had a giant rooster on it by coloring it in with bright colors. The recipient loved it so much, she framed it and put it in her dining room! Snippets of fabric is also good. For gelli plates, I've used the corrugated outside part of a coffee cup from "Common Grounds." I used the ends of thread spools, the empty center round thingy from a roll of scotch tape--I particularly like the effect created when I slide it in the paint just a bit. I've love to see more videos like this. THANKS!!
Humm thank I would have never known such a thing without you doing this project. They are beautiful. The strokes you see I believe that is the tack strokes.
Good Evening - I truly love your enthusiasm with this project! Nicely done, I must say. My favorite color of foil is the bottom right side. (Blue/Gold/Silver) Well done. Blessings from Southwest Florida.
I have seen these used on tumblers so nicely as well. I love thé foils you received looking forward to seeing you create with them. You don’t actually have to cut them to size either. Once the sticky glue is down if you put the sheet on only the sticky area will hold the foil. I have seen it put on and ripped off in multiple ways.
These are gorgeous. They remind me of how beautiful steel as it’s decaying on old structures,it’s rather beautiful the colours as it has the different stages of oxidation ,rust or verdigation on it ..I love these they are very different and will go with any type of decode 🥰
So stunning. I thought you were just gonna drop the cellophane into the resin. That's wild. I hope they cut you a fat check after you send them a mountain of orders. ❤️
Crinkling the foil sheets was a great idea! It looks really cool! The gold edging looks amazing with the burgundy background! My favorites are the one with the pinky purple colors and the one with the copper and gold colors. I really love them!
Thank you soooooo much for this vid you have literally made my year with this one. Before your video I thought these foils were only available for nails you have made me ecstatically happy THANK YOU 💜💜💜
My daughter was a dental assistant for years and was able to get me some retired dental tools. She also got slides to make pressed flower to run solder around. She is retired now. I love the colors that you used. Just beautiful.
What an awesome haul they sent you. I hope they have lots of inventory on hand because you have over fifty thousand views already. I’m glad I bought mine before you told the world about them.
Actually, I probably would just paint around the rim EXACTLY AS YOU HAVE DONE instead of painting the entire side. I think the way you did it is absolutely gorgeous! Also, I think having only the top edge of the rim will give them more character once you stack them on top of each other. Btw, the pinky-purple and its coppery "neighbor" is my fav.😍 Again... they are ALL ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! ❤❤❤
You have a fantastic company called Crafty Critta down in Australia which produces world-class hot foils and toner foils. I think toner foils will transfer nicely to resin, especially clear-holographic ones, that you can use a number of times for a single piece for foiling.
I'm so happy to have found your video while searching for using foil in molds! I always enjoy watching your videos and listening to your joy with your projects 🌸 I use Artistic Painting Studio foils all the time but the addition of using them with resin is new for me so seeing you do it was great. You were spot on about crinkling the foil and the metallization coming off the carrier. I have never scrunched them up to that degree but I liked the look and effect of your distressed foil pattern. Thanks again for sharing your process; they look darling!
Try making a 'stamp' with cuts, crinkles and shapes for size of your mold to stamp on the adhesive. There are various designs you can try or just random shapes. It works very similar to metal leaf it just has a plastic backing instead of being loose foil. Much easier to work with than metal leaf for sure!
I don't just love your molds I am obsessed, already saving up for my next one while waiting for my puffy hearts one ❤️. I have been following it's journey to England and it is flying towards me at the moment 😊
Just so much fun! Stunning results! Thank you for keeping at the company so you could bring this to us, and show their products. Definitely going to have to get some of these!🤩😍😊👍
I love your coasters. I was looking at the silver/gold iridescent coaster and had a thought:if you had an ultra thin black sharpie or oven matte paint & skinny paint brush you could make it look like trees-I see tree tops when you were showing it-or even a bight sky. Basically the shy is the limit to what you can do. Also watch some nail art videos-I think that’s where this came from. The nail artists have been using the foil technique for years.
So crazy, I placed an order for these foils last night, lol. They have so many gorgeous designs. Your coasters came out amazing. The background color is beautiful. Now I can't wait to get mine. xoxoxo
Oh wow, Julie. Beautiful 😍. My favorite is the last coaster you did. These colors are amazing. Thank you for sharing that video with us. Absolutely gorgeous
This is just like the nail foils you put on with the glue before the top coat! -But they are more difficult to apply evenly - This looks like so much fun, the selection of which foil to use is too hard 😅! !!! Turned out Beautiful 🤩
I think it is good idea that you leave a margin without foil and glue. I believe it would be the only way to insure the two resin halves have a good area for melding. Thanks for all you do to expand and teach. You are definitely an inspiration. I love the molds that were sent to me. Have a great day.
These came out beautifully! I’d love to see them on some clear resin…. I bet that would be pretty… I just want to say I love your channel and really appreciate the amount of content you put out. You work very hard to give us your creations… thank you❤
I wonder if you could use a stencil with the adhesive? That would give a foiled pattern in the stencilled shape and show more of the gorgeous background color - maybe? You've got my creative juices flowing again! You are so much fun Julie!!! ~~~^..^
Another idea, maybe stipple and dab after adhesive is spread to avoid the glue lines. It would blend perfectly with the crinkles. I'm off to check those links, I think I HAVE to try this stuff out! ~~~^..^
I love watching your projects and thank you for experimenting and sharing. I think it’s really funny that I’m in America and I hear about these foils via Australia- especially given what you went through to get them. I think we are all glad for your persistence.

Ty think I will try the resin lol
😊
I love this mold, I don't have it and I'm hoping you can share the link to where I can get it😊, please, I'm Angela in California. Ty
😊

In 1996 I bought a kids craft kit making things by using cool form hot glue right onto the folils. Love how the idea expanded.
i used these for milk caps around the same time!!
I guess you could even cut the paper out and throw the resin on top.
They look like big opals.
Lovely 💜❤💜

Yes, I've already experimented with other uses for nail foils, & ebay has a lot of different selections too!
You could take this to another level by doing a clear pour over the first foil rub, let it dry and then transfer a lighter foil layer to get a whole other dimension. These are amazing 😍
That what I thought she’s gonna do , but she had another idea

The orange red one is Autumn.. the gold n Silver is winter wonderland..
They turned out magical!!
I saw the same things.😮
I came across your channel, i don't do resin, but my daughter does, so I watched this video I didn't think that they would turn out so well at first, but then you added the gold trimming, and it made a world of difference love them❤
With the crackled foil and the brush strokes, it looks like abstract art. I love these
They look beautiful, I couldn't tell from further away, but up close they're so wonderful
Hi Julie. This came out stunning 💞💞💞💞. Would you be so kind as to provide a link to the company selling these foils?
@Ilse Janse Van Rensburg
It's in the video description. 😊
Attention company, I will be ordering because of this video, so yes she is a great and quality content creator! God bless
I was given some of those foils years ago. I never knew how to use them or what to do with them! 😂

I love that Piggy colour it’s gorgeous. That was fun to watch and they turned out lovely
I'd love to use those combinations of colours and effects in squares, to look like weathered terracotta!
Wow very nice effect! I'm imagining this would make an amazing surface for a small coffee table.

Absolutely gorgeous. Just found a link to the UK website....just up the road in Yorkshire UK. So excited. Thanks Julie😊
Thank you soooooo much for this vid you have literally made my year with this one. Before your video I thought these foils were only available for nails you have made me ecstatically happy THANK YOU 💜💜💜
Could they be used on nails lol?
@@michellemelville8979 yes, this is the same material used for nail foils all you need to do is cut it down to a manageable size to use on a nail.
My daughter was a dental assistant for years and was able to get me some retired dental tools. She also got slides to make pressed flower to run solder around. She is retired now. I love the colors that you used. Just beautiful.
And for everyone not related to a dental assistant, you can get the 4 pack at harbor freight! 😊
I love RK3 Designs. They do AMAZING things. Thank you so much for sharing. These really beautiful 😍 ❤
That gold edge is stunning and just enough. Very creative Julie. I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you
Beautiful. Be kind to one another. Stay safe. Love to all
Wow! These are so beautiful Julie! I've been wanting a detailed video of how to use them and you've just delivered!! Thank you!!

I looked Crafty Crittas up and they don't seem to have a Web site. Do you have à link to their page

Tack-it works to for a sticky base. Pretty.
Love them. I bought some from Michaels and was wondering how to use them. Thank you for showing us. They are beautiful. You do such a great job!

Hi Julie, I love your videos, and I love your voice and energy. In addition, you're inspirational. Love your designs. 💜😘
Last night I order the sample pack of the pack of foils from the company. Can’t wait to use them.
Ive used for purses, pictures, coasters, frames, furniture, all sorts of things you can do
The gold and silver reminds me of a winter tree while the 3 others make me think of the beautiful autumn trees. Those are stunning!
I don't just love your molds I am obsessed, already saving up for my next one while waiting for my puffy hearts one ❤️. I have been following it's journey to England and it is flying towards me at the moment 😊

Loving the colours with the background.
These are beautiful! You really did a fantastic job!❤
These are such fun. I love the way the fine gold edge finishes them off
I love these foils. The glue will never dry. It was formulated to Do that. I use the foils on everything.
I love Rk3 designs. There awesome 😎 so informative on what different pigments can do etc. makes me want to try doing something on a bigger scale..
I was skeptical about the marker until you started it. It’s even better with the marker!
Very pretty! The gold on the edges really make the center colors pop.
I love your coasters. I

They are all lovely. But my favorites are the two on the right.
I feel like the heart turned out the best! Very cool project. Thanks for the tutorial.
I Love the metallic foils. All beautiful but I love the 2nd and 4th..Experiment Away with the others..❤️💚💝
Awesome coasters, Julie! 💕😊 That foil stuff is the cat's meow! Er...puppy's bark! Another new thing to try! 💕😊💕 Thanks Julie! 👍
Oh, those are beautiful! Thank you!
I don’t see a link Julie for these foils. I love the coasters I’d love to order these foils
The gold and silver one reminds me of when you are looking up at the sky through a canopy of yellow trees
exactly what I thought and the one with orange etc is fall/ autumn trees
The last foil leaves a design that resembles Autumn foliage. Beautiful!
Hi Julie. Your adventurous spirit is so fun. These are beautiful! Tammy anderson Art uses these, also Art and Tea. These are very beautiful films.
You continue to amaze me!!
I freaked when squished the film. I thought you lost it! Then I knew this is the process. 😮😮😮
I love them Julie! They’re so pretty.
