You want them to show ruins? No big city in Syria is destroyed on the inside. It’s always the outskirts, and the areas where no military presence is there. Such as Harasta, Douma, Rif Dimashq. Homs and Aleppo are perfectly fine, just the outside of it has been bombed..

Actually I've seen a lot of western travelers go to aleppo and homs ! But you're right almost nobody goes to raqqa and deir ezzor .
